CHAPTER 7
I MADE THE HEROINE FALL FOR MECharlie made her way to the designated room for the Special Class, her mind still reeling from the events of the day. As she ascended the stairs to the floor above, she was greeted by the sight of two familiar figures approaching her with big smiles on their faces, holding her belongings.
“Leora… Alice… why are you guys here?” Charlie asked curiously, surprised to see her classmates on the upper floor.
Leora flashed a grin. “Well, we brought you your things and wanted to personally congratulate you for making it into the Special Class! You really did it! We thought you were just all talk!” she exclaimed, laughter bubbling in her voice.
“Do your best, sis Charlie!” Alice chimed in, her eyes sparkling with genuine excitement.
Charlie's heart swelled with gratitude. “Thank you guys!” she replied, feeling a warm sense of camaraderie wash over her.
Leora leaned in, her expression curious. “Anyway… we heard the headmaster tried to stop you from getting the slot for the special class… what happened?” she asked, her tone laced with intrigue.
Alice nodded in agreement. “Yeah… it’s because of Stacy Huang… she’s the headmaster’s niece, and I heard she was supposed to be part of the Special Class. But unlucky for her, she didn’t make the cut. Since sis Charlie has a bad academic reputation… well… reputation in general… I think the headmaster thought she’d be an easy target…” she explained, relaying the rumors that had been circulating.
“So.. how’d you end up convincing the dean to let you stay here?” Leora inquired, her curiosity piqued.
Charlie hesitated for a moment before answering. “Well… Serena came to my aid and defended me to the dean…” she admitted, a hint of shyness creeping into her voice.
Both Leora and Alice's eyes widened in disbelief. “S-Serena Sutherland defended you?!” they exclaimed simultaneously, unable to hide their astonishment.
Charlie shifted uncomfortably, feeling her cheeks flush with embarrassment at the attention. “Y-yeah…” she mumbled sheepishly, unsure how to respond to their incredulous reactions.
“I really think something happened between the two of you! Don’t you think so, sis Leora?” Alice teased mischievously, nudging her friend playfully.
Leora nodded thoughtfully, her expression turning thoughtful. “Yeah… it was weird when I saw them arriving at school together yesterday… and the bite mark too… sudden change of attitude… and now we have Serena defending her… hmmm…” she mused, a hint of suspicion in her voice.
Charlie's blush deepened at the mention of Serena, her mind racing with thoughts and emotions she couldn't quite articulate. As she tried to compose herself, she couldn't shake the feeling that her relationship with Serena was becoming more complex by the day.
As Alice began to delve into her explanation, Charlie found herself growing increasingly agitated. "You know… An alpha’s treatment to omega could change if the alpha became addicted to the Omega’s pheromone… also same with omega, she could change her treatment to the alpha if it became addicted to the alpha’s pheromone… so what I’m saying is—-" Alice's voice trailed off as Charlie abruptly interrupted her.
“WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?! WHY WOULD I BE ADDICTED TO SERENA SUTHERLAND’S ROTTEN PHEROMONES?!” Charlie exclaimed, her frustration palpable.
But before Charlie could dwell on her outburst, a sweet scent of strawberry champagne suddenly engulfed her senses, instantly identifying itself as Serena's unmistakable aroma.
‘… this scent… it’s Serena… … I’m doomed,’ Charlie thought, a sinking feeling settling in the pit of her stomach.
“Excuse me, I need to come in…” Serena's cold voice cut through the air, sending shivers down Charlie's spine.
‘I’m sorry my beautiful glands…’ Charlie lamented silently, cursing her unfortunate timing.
‘WHY DOES SERENA HAVE TO COME AT THAT EXACT MOMENT? DID SHE HEAR IT?! THAT’S NOT WHAT I EVEN MEANT! I CLEARLY LIKE THE SMELL OF PHEROMONES! IF NOT FOR THESE TWO IDIOTS, I WOULDN’T HAVE BLURTED IT OUT!’ Charlie inwardly berated herself, frustration mounting.
Turning her attention to the two conspirators, Charlie shot them a menacing glare. “Both of you…” she began, her tone laced with a thinly veiled threat.
But Alice and Leora were quick to catch on, hastily concocting an excuse. “Ahhh.. hehehe… we still have homeworks left to do!” Alice stammered, her laughter tinged with nervousness.
“BYE SISTER CHARLIE!!!!!!” The two chimed in unison, before bolting away from Charlie in a comical flurry of laughter and hurried footsteps.
Charlie's excitement about being back in class bubbled within her, reminiscent of her routine in the real world where learning was her passion. During breaktime, she noticed her empty water bottle and knew the importance of staying hydrated. Without hesitation, she headed to the omega's bathroom where the water fountain awaited.
Though it wasn't taboo for an alpha to enter the omega's bathroom, the risk of being labeled a ert if disc
