Finally, the day has arrived!
Its their graduation ceremony!
Everyone from the graduating classes came early to school to rehearse for the very last time,
hoping not to make any mistakes.
But only one person just came right on the dot before the whole performance starts.
It was Jessica Jung Sooyeon.
As usual, her nonchalent personality is really a no joke thing.
If she couldnt be bothered, thats it.
Nothing could change her mind.

Sooyeon was also invited to make a speech infront of the whole graduating classes since she's the top student of the school.
Sooyeon being the top scholar was expected as she's been getting As for every tests&exams.
To be precise, all her tests scores were from 95-100.
So obviously it was expected.
Being invited to give a speech on the stage as the top scholar was an honour, but not for Sooyeon since she doesnt bother with anything much.
So during the speech, she just went up and spoke a little.
But it was really good since she didnt even stutter or anything.

"Jessica Jung imida" introduced herself on stage with a slight grin
"Well, i was invited here to give a speech to all of you"
"I didnt prepare anything in advance"

"Wow, how 'motivating' " teased Donghae who was sitting beside her.

"So are you motivate?" said Sooyeon sacarstically and at the same time, announcement were made by the emcee.

"Class 3A"
"Go to the back stage now and prepare you performance" announced the emcee

"Babe, its our performance next!"
"Lets go!" said Donghae excitedly as he pulled Sooyeon to the backstage.

Everyone in the backstage were all very nervous, afraid that they would screw the performance up.
But Sooyeon just stood there, looking really calm and relaxed.

"Babe, arent you nervous at all?" asked Donghae curiously
"You're weird"

"Not nervous"
"If im weird, just ditch me" spat Sooyeon back

She didnt like anyone to criticise her but she didnt know Donghae wasnt doing it on purpose.
Donghae was taken aback by her sudden rudeness but just let it go since he's used to it.
Plus, he was attracted to her hostility too.
He found it cute&attractive when she's angry, especially when she glares at him.

Soon, Donghae&Sooyeon were on the stage performing already.
To everyone's surprise, Sooyeon performed extremely well that it made everyone surprised.
She transformed herself into a really sweet girl with such a sweet voice.
Not a single bit of coldness in her, even the principal was amazed by her.
They didnt know Sooyeon could actually sing so well.

While Sooyeon&Donghae was performing, Soojung&Jaejong actually came down to Earth to support Sooyeon.
The both of them were at the backstage waiting for Soojung with a big bouqeut of flowers to congratulate her.
As soon as Sooyeon got back into the back stage, she was pounded onto by Soojung with a big hug.

"Sooyeon unnie!"
"I missed you!"
"You sang so well just now!" cheered Soojung happily

"Here, congratulations on graduating" said Jaejong as he handed her a big bouquet of flowers

"Oppa..?"
"Why are you here..?"

"Sooyeon unnie"
"Oppa threatened me" pouted Soojung
"He said he wont allow me to come down to Earth to watch your performance unless im going with him!"

"Oh.."

"Sooyeon, just put everything behind?"
"Its been 8 eights going to 9.."
"Shouldnt you just..?"

"I tried.. I wanted.."
"Its hard" sighed Sooyeon

"Forget it"
"Im here not to lecture you or anything"
"Come on, give oppa a hug" smiled Jaejong as he stretched out his arms for Sooyeon to fall into.

As soon as Sooyeon fell into Jaejong's arms, touched tears fell down her cheeks.
Its like, she missed this hug for really long.
Like Jaejong said, its 8 nearing to 9 years already.

"Oppa, i missed you" whispered Sooyeon into his ears

"I missed you too Sooyeon" replied Jaejong softly as he releases Sooyeon from the hug
"Shall we go for some icecream?"

"YAY! Ice creammmmm~" exclaimed Soojung happily

"Okay, let me go grab my bag and tell Donghae im leaving first"

"Okay, we'll come with you" said Jaejong&Soojung as they followed Sooyeon.

In the backstage's restroom, when Sooyeon was about to enter the room,
she heard a conversation.

"I miss you, oppa" said the woman in a seducive voice

"Ah.."
"Dont be like this, Gyuri" said Donghae

Sooyeon wanted to see if what she heard was what she thought, she took a step forward & saw something she didnt wanted to see.
It was Donghae&a y looking girl, kissing intimately.
At that time, Jaejong&Soojung were beside Sooyeon and witnessed everything.
Jaejong was really angry, he went into the room and landed a strong punch on Donghae's face & left after hearing Soojung's call for Sooyeon.
Sooyeon ran away, she ran away crying hard.
Why did Donghae do this to her..?
Yes, she's not the sweet&y kind of girl, like the one he's been kissing in it.
But how could Donghae do this kind of thing to Sooyeon.
He had a hard time opening&melting Sooyeon's heart, but now,
everything went down the drain.

Sooyeon was running&running till she reaches the end of a road.
She stopped there&started crying.

"Sooyeon unnie.."
"Hush hush"
"Dont cry.." hushed Soojung as she hugged onto Sooyeon

"Sooyeon"
"Dont cry over Donghae"
"He's a jerk"
"He's not worth your tears at all" comforted Jaejong as he patted Sooyeon's head.

"Oppa.."
"It hurts.."

"Where Sooyeon?" asked Jaejong worriedly

"My chest.."
"It hurts.."
"Like how it did 8 years ago..."
"Oppa.." sobbed Sooyeon as she fell unconscious into Soojung's arms.

"Sooyeon unnie?!"
"Unnie?!" shouted Soojung
"Oppa, quick carry unnie back home!"

Jaejong then carried Sooyeon back to her home and laid her on the bed.
While waiting for Sooyeon to regain conscious, Jaejong&Soojung was fiddling with her drawers&bag.
They were shocked to find jabs&medicine in her drawers.

"Oppa?"
"Isnt this the painful scary thing that were poke into our body when we get sick?"
"Why does unnie have all these here?" asked Soojung curiously as she showed one to Jaejong

"I dont know.."
"Think we should ask her when she wakes up" said Jaejong worriedly

Just then, Sooyeon's phone rang.
Other than plenty of missed calls from Donghae, this one was different.
It was some unknown number but Jaejong picked it up.

*Phone call*

"Yoboseyo"

"Hello, is this Ms.Jessica Jung Sooyeon's phone?"

"Ah, yes"
"Im her brother"

"Oh, Mr.Jung"
"Its like this"
"Jessica-sshi has a scheduled surgery on Sunday evening"
"Im just calling over to remind her to get herself admitted tomorrow night"

"Oh, what kind of surgery?"

"Its a heart surgery"
"Didnt you know that?"

"Oh, she only told me its a surgery" lied Jaejong
"Thanks for calling"

*End of phone call*

And then, Sooyeon started to regain her consciousness and was surprised to see Jaejong&Soojung's worried looks.

"Sooyeon"
"Whats all these..?" asked Jaejong as he showed her what they found in her drawers

"Oh.."
"Err.. Oppa.."
"This are the medicine i need everyday.." said Sooyeon softly
 
"But Sooyeon unnie!"
"These things are painful!" exclaimed Soojung as she pointed to the needles.

"I know.."
"But im left with no choice.." whispered Sooyeon softly
"Oppa, dont tell Donghae where am i.."
"I really dont wanna see him now"

"I wont, if he's here"
"I whack him upside down" said Jaejong angrily
"Oh yeah, the hospital called and said you had an scheduled surgery"
"A heart surgery"
"Whats wrong with you heart?"
"Answer me truthfully or else im bringing you back to heaven" warned Jaejong sternly

".."

"Not telling? Then we're leaving" said Jaejong as he attempted to carry Sooyeon up&leave.

"No wait"
"Oppa, dont" sobbed Sooyeon
"My heart, the left valve was damaged"
"Its no longer working anymore"
"I've to get it replace.."
"And this needles here, because my heart has an infection"
"This are the antibiotics i have to get everyday & every weekend to the hospital for stronger antibiotics that were given through an IV" explained Sooyeon
"But all these didnt really improve my condition, so i had to go for a surgery in order to survive"

"Wait"
"You were perfectly healthy when you were young.."
"How did all these happen so fast?" asked Jaejong sadly

"I think its because of Amber's blow"
"I took it for Soojung, after i've sort of recovered"
"I started having chest pains.." added Sooyeon

"Oh.."
"Tomorrow i'll be accompanying you to the hospital together with Soojung then" said Jaejong with worried-filled eyes

"Yeah, unnie"
"We'll go with you" smiled Soojung

"Okay, Soojung"
"Lets go out now"
"Let Sooyeon unnie rest okay?"
"Sooyeon unnie's sick"

"Okay oppa" replied Soojung as she skipped out of the room

"Call for me if you're feeling unwell okay, Sooyeon" said Jaejong as he closed Sooyeon's room door&left the room.

Inside Sooyeon's quiet room, sobs were heard vividly in it.

Sooyeon's POV

Why Donghae..?
Why did you do this to me..?
You stole my heart bit by bit, and before you pieced it all back,
you crushed it into even smaller pieces.

Saturday Night

"Sooyeon"
"Are you sure you dont want appa to know?" asked Jaejong as he sat beside Sooyeon's bed

"WAH! OPPA!"
"The needle is so big!!"
"Sooyeon unnie, the big needle is in your arm!"
"It must be painful right?" said Soojung as she gently touched Sooyeon's arm that was inserted with the IV needle

"Ani, Soojung"
"Its not painful" smiled Sooyeon but turned back to Jaejong
"Oppa, dont.."

"But Sooyeon, dont you miss him?"
"You cant go on like this!"
"He's our father, you're sick, he should know!" exasperated Jaejong in angry&frustration

"I.."
"Get out oppa"
"If you wanna talk about it somemore then get out!" shouted Sooyeon

"Fine!"
"You're gonna regret it!" replied Jaejong angrily as he led Soojung outside with him.

Once he's standing out the door, he regretted his actions immediately.
He knew he shouldnt have shouted at Sooyeon.
Sooyeon's already sick, he shouldnt have made her feel even worser.
When Jaejong was about to enter the room and apologise, he heard sobs that were coming out of the room vividly.
Of course, its Sooyeon's sob.

"Oppa.."
"Im sorry for shouting at you.."
"Im really sorry.."
"Its just that my heart is in a mess.."
"Physically&emotionally.." sobbed Sooyeon
"I miss appa&omma.."
"I do.."
"But i really dont know what to do.."

"Sooyeon.." said Jaejong softly as he came in slowly to Sooyeon and wiped her tears away.
"Oppa's sorry for scolding you okay?"
"Dont be mad at oppa"
"Oppa's just worried for you.."

"I know.."
"Oppa.. but my heart.."
"It hurts.. physically&emotionally.." cried Sooyeon as she clutches her chest

"Do you want me to call the doctor?" asked Jaejong worriedly

"No.."
"Dont.. it will be fine soon.."
"When im asleep, it wont be painful anymore.."

"Then sleep, Sooyeon"
"Sleep.." said Jaejong as he gently caressed Sooyeon's pale cheeks.

Soon enough Sooyeon really fell into a deep slumber.
But just then, Sooyeon's phone rang.

Donghae was shocked and immediately stood up, staring at Jaejong shocked.

"COME OUT HERE, WE'LL SETTLE OUTSIDE!" boomed Jaejong as he pulled Donghae out of the cafe

"Shut it"
"I didnt know you're such a person"
"I entrusted my beloved sister to you"
"And you crushed her heart after she trusted you"
"How worse can you get?!" scolded Jaejong angrily

"Really, i wasnt the one who initiated the kiss"
"It was Gyuri who pounded on me" explained Donghae

"Even so, you shouldnt even have accepted the kiss!" shouted Jaejong as he landed another punch in Donghae's stomach

"I went down to look for Sooyeon"
"Actually, we found Sooyeon months ago" admitted Jaejong

"You guys found her but kept it away from me?!" exclaimed the King angrily

"I thought for quite long but decided to tell you this"
"When Soojung was on Earth, she was being attacked by Amber"
"And Sooyeon saved her from it, she also took a blow for Soojung from Amber.."

"Sooyeon's heart valve got damaged by the blow and her heart caught an infection, appa"
"She's going to go through a huge surgery tomorrow"

"The doctor came by just now&took your temperature when you were sleeping"
"I told them that you were in pain just now"
"So they injected something into you hand" said Soojung as she pointed to Sooyeon's IV.

"Gomawo Soojung" smiled Sooyeon weakly

"Unnie, the doctor says you're having a temperature"
"Are you hot?"

"Nope, unnie is fine Soojung"
"Where's oppa?"

"Oh, oppa said he went out to do something and will be back soon"
"Dont worry" assued Soojung
"Unnie, dont cry anymore okay?"
"Doctor says its because of your crying thats why you're having a temperature now"
"He said if you're running a temperature tomorrow, he cant execute the surgery" said Soojung innocently

"Araesso ahjumma" teased Sooyeon

While Sooyeon was playing with Soojung, heavy footsteps were heard nearing her.
It sounded really familar, the heavy footsteps.
Sooyeon turned and saw her father&mother rushing into the ward worriedly.
As soon as Sooyeon saw them, she quickly turned away.

"Sooyeon?" called the Queen tenderly as she tried to brush away Sooyeon's hair

"Sooyeon, how are you feeling?"
"Jaejong told us about you and we came immediately" said the King worriedly

But nothing came out of Sooyeon's mouth neither did she turned and face them.
Instead, it seems like only Sooyeon's tears were doing the job in talking.
Only tears flowed down Sooyeon's face and nothing else.

"Sooyeon"
"I know you were hurt by appa&omma 8 years ago" started the King
"Appa&omma was really sorry for it"
"Forgive us okay?"

"Sooyeon"
"You're our precious child.."
"We're sorry for making you suffer so much.." sobbed the Queen as she bend over to hug Sooyeon but Sooyeon didnt return the hug but just let tears flow down her face freely.

"Appa,omma!!"
"Stopp!!!" cried Soojung as she looked at Sooyeon's tears filled face
"Doctor says unnie cant cry anymore!! Her fever wont go down!!"
"Sooyeon unnie's already in pain!! You look!!" exclaimed Soojung as she pointed over the big needle that was inserted into Sooyeon's thin fragile arm.

"Oh my.."
"My dear Sooyeon.."
"Appa&omma's really sorry for what we've did" sobbed the King as he sat down on one of the chair while the Queen sat beside him

"Sooyeon?"
"You're having a fever?!" asked Jaejong worriedly as he went over to feel his sister's temperature.
"Why didnt you tell us?!"

"Unnie didnt know too oppa"
"The doctor came in&checked" said Soojung innocently

"Nevermind"
"Sooyeon, rest now okay?"
"We'll all be here for you"
"Dont worry" smiled Jaejong

Slowly, Sooyeon fell asleep.
The Queen then went to grab a cold towel and placed it on Sooyeon's forehead.

"Sooyeon-ah.."
"Get well soon okay?.." whispered the Queen softly as she looked at her fragile daughter

"Ah.."
"Omma..Appa.."
"Sooyeon misses you.."
"It wasnt Sooyeon who opened.. the portal.." sobbed Sooyeon

"Sooyeon?" called the Queen
"Sooyeon, its okay its okay"
"We didnt blame you, dont cry dont cry" hushed the Queen

Even though the Queen knew that Sooyeon was just having a dream,
but it really made her heart ache 'cause what happened 8 years ago actually left Sooyeon such a nightmare.
Neither did she nor the King expected it to be like this, but obviously things that are not expected usually happen more often than those that are expected.

Donghae's POV

Donghae was seen alone sitting in the bar,
drowning his sorrows away.
He missed Sooyeon, he's really sorry for hurting her.
He knew he shouldnt have done it but still did it.
He knew that he should be blamed.
Now all Donghae wanted was to apologise to Sooyeon,
not caring whether if Sooyeon will accept his apology a not.

The next day, Sooyeon was awake with all the murmurings around her.
As soon as she opened her eyes, she saw that there was his father, mother & brother talking to the seriously while Soojung was sleeping on the sofa provided in the room.
Then, all attention was focused on Sooyeon.

"Hello Jessica" greeted the doctor with a smile
"How are you feeling today?"

"Fine.."

"Good, make sure you dont get a fever again today okay?"
"Your mum did a good job yesterday to get your fever down" said the doctor

Sooyeon then realised there was something on her forehead, she took it down and realised it was a towel.
It must be the Queen's doings.
But Sooyeon missed it, she missed this care&love from her mum.
She lost it 8 years ago and she finally found it back.

"Sooyeon..?" called the King&Queen
"You feeling better today..?"
"You'll be entering the operating theatre in an hours time.."
"The doctor says the surgery will take about 12hours or more.."
"Dont worry okay? Appa&omma will wait for you outside the operating theatre" said the King&Queen as the Sooyeon's hair with worried looks.

Sooyeon just nodded and slowly drift back to sleep again.
She really didnt know why she was sleeping so much, its not like she doesnt like it.
But its really really really too much!
