IU's POV

"Nurse, can I go for a walk? Staying in here is really boring." I whined.

"But, Dr. Jang said you can't go out. I'm so sorry, Miss." The female nurse turned to me with a pitiful look on her face.

"Please, please, please!" I rubbed both of my hands together and put on my best puppy eyes.

She gave in.

"Fine but with one condition, don't be out too long!" She reminded me.

"Thanks." I jumped out of my bed and gave her a quick hug.

I opened the door and ran out to the hospital's garden. When I reached there, I sat on a bench and enjoy the evening breeze. I breathed the fresh air around me.

I closed my eyes and soon fell asleep. But, I woke up to the sound of a guitar being strummed. My eyes shot open. There was someone strumming the guitar and singing along. I searched for the sound everywhere until I stopped under a big shady tree.

I was dumbfounded. I really want to see the person singing. When I went around the tree, I found a guy with his guitar. He was singing too.

I hid myself. I was enjoying the song until he stopped playing.

"Ya, why are you here?" He asked and turned his body around to my hiding place.

I got out of the hiding place and greeted him.

"Scram off, little kid!" He hissed.

"You don't need to be rude! I was just listening to your song. Is that a sin?" I retorted.

"And I'm not a little kid! I'm a 19 year-old adult." I added.

He gave me a death glare. I just ignored it and sat next to him.

"Ya! What are you doing?" He yelled.

"Ya! I have a name! It's Lee Jieun!" I yelled back.

"Sing that song again. I want to hear it." I commanded.

"You sing it yourself." He said and threw me the paper with lyrics on it.

I cleared my voice and started to sing.

Whispering secrets while looking at a watch,
My heart’s desperate story,
It’s okay to harm my form,
The more you demand I like it,
Say my name~
 

I’m scared that my heart would be revealed,
through the gaps between my fingers,
It’s too much for my heart I’m sad,

I want to pester the watch more but,

The times when I first peeked around,
You and I were together,
You played with me, I liked you,
When I ask, you liked me as well,
What is my name?

I’m afraid my heart will be revealed in between my hands,
My heart is overwhelmed, it’s sad,
Please wait a bit more and wait for me,
You and I, we can’t be right now,
I want to push on the clock even more but,
In the future, which you will be in,
Please call out my name~

In a blink of an eye, I’ll be an adult,
I hope you recognize me, I hope you remember me,
Yes that strange child,
I really like your image that shines in between my hands.

As I twist it with my fingertips,
“Hey, watch hands, run”
Fly a little faster,
I close my eyes and cast a spell,
You and I, we still have a little left,
I don’t know what day or what time,
Just in case, in the future in which you are present,
If I’m lost,
To help me recognize you,
Say my name~

I finished the song.

"Hmmm, for a kid like you, it's okay." he commented.

"Ya!" I balled up my fist and playfully hitted his shoulder.

"Anyways, I'm Kim Myungsoo." He held out his hands.

"Lee Jieun." I took it and shook his hands.
