I actually avoided this one because I don’t really like reading angst stories but after reading the comments and saw ‘See You Around’, checked that one out and remembered that that one was really good when I read it a few months ago, I knew then that I should read this one as well. Chapter 3: it's been really hard for me to read about yongsun in this way, i get that we are seeing the story unfold from byul's pov and in a way, she's an unreliable narrator, but i can't imagine a world where yongsun's bff, byul, is someone who would stand for yongsun to be talked down by her friends because they have a few misunderstandings of what has transpired because they only know about byul's side of the story. to her credit, yongsun never stayed down and kept pushing, even though a situation where your best friend would abruptly distance themselves from you must hurt a lot and cause some mistrust and feelings if betrayal.

regardless, i continued reading because i really like the way you write. you have a way of maintaining tension and building up towards the of things in a way that doesn't feel too drawn out. it helps that the resolution happened by byul making the move, because i don't think i could have tolerated more of yongsun bending over her back for her, even if it was mostly fear and insecurity driving byul's actions. the end did feel a tiny bit rushed, so maybe a bonus chapter might be in the future? maybe nyong bonding and finally being known better by byul's friends, or also byul finding better footing with yongsun's friends, because a lot of their issues did come from feeling like they're in "different worlds".

Chapter 3: my tears 😭 i could actuallt feel every emotion of both yong and byul, this was amazingly well written and definitely one of my favorite fanfics of coming out/discovering oneself. cannot express how much i love this thank you. i will reread this tomorrow to cry more ❤️

Chapter 3: Author! This was amazing, as it is usual with your works 😭 I was already ugly crying at the beginning of the chapter when Byul came out to her mom. The part when her mom got out of the room and Byul started packing her bags but she was only getting her father... oh my god, it destroyed me. And Yongsun's coming out too, I loved how her dad was supportive but worried and had a lot of questions. I was around their age when I came out to my mom and I wish she had been this supportive 😢 I also loved the rest of the chapter and how finally Byul and Yong were able to get their communication straight and got together. I chuckled when Yong's mom said "from now on the door stays open", lol. I've been loving your writing since See You Around and if I had to describe it with one word, I would say "delicate". As such, it suits the teenage setting perfectly. I'm looking forward to future stories, are you already working on something? I don't know if I have an exact prompt for you, but I would love to see some fluff in the context of an established relationship from you.
