A long while later, Jongup's eyes fluttered open.  He saw the beautiful flowers, still basking in the sunlight.  It looked like he was still in a dream. 

"Finally up, sleeping beauty?" Himchan asked, chuckling as Jongup rubbed his tired eyes. 

"Ha ha.  Very funny." Jongup, embarrassed, laughed along with Jongup. 

Himchan got up and dusted himself off, "Well, what do you want to do now?"

As if on cue, Jongup's stomach grumbled loudly. 

"Let's go get something to eat.  There must be some food in my house." Jongup suggested.  Himchan nodded and helped Jongup get up. 

The two blondes walked back towards Jongup's house, but much slower this time. 

They told jokes and enjoyed each other's company, just as friends should.  Jongup couldn't remember a time when he felt this happy.  It seemed like forever since he had last seen his friends, Daehyun and Youngjae, as well.  It felt good to have a friend like Himchan to pass the time with.

Beside him, Himchan felt equally as happy.  Walking with Jongup made him forget all of his worries.  Himchan couldn't remember the last time a human willingly spent time with him.  As long as Himchan's secret was safe, he and Jongup could remain friends.  So far, so good.

Jongup excitedly led Himchan into his house.  "We just moved in, but we should have ingredients here..." Jongup looked around the kitchen, looking through cabinets and drawers.

"What are you going to make?" Himchan asked, filled with curiosity.  He walked up next to Jongup excitedly.

"Let's make brownies," Jongup decided, pulling out some eggs from the refrigerator.  He opened the cabinet and got the measuring cups and oil.  At the top of the cabinet was the brownie mix.  Even on his toes, Jongup couldn't reach the box.

"I'll get it." Himchan said, reaching up past Jongup and grabbing the box.  He brought it down and handed it to Jongup. 

"How..." Jongup looked at Himchan, amazed that Himchan knew where it was.

Himchan, realizing his mistake, began to panic.  "Ah..." Himchan started, searching for something to say, "I...I can hear well.  That's how I knew where it was."

Jongup gave Himchan a look, but dismissed it.  No point in making his friend feel bad.  If Himchan really was blind, although Jongup was starting to doubt if he was, he didn't want to sound insensitive.

Dropping the subject, Jongup pulled out the bowl and pan he needed and set them on the counter.  He began to mix the ingredients together, the sweet smelling batter filling the kitchen with a delicious chocolate smell. Himchan's stomach started grumbling too.

"I've never eaten brownies before." Himchan said, pouting.  Jongup nearly dropped what he was doing and looked at Himchan. 

"What do you mean you've never had brownies?  You have to try mine!  My mom--" Jongup paused, pain flashing in his eyes, "Ah...she taught me."

"I bet they'll be delicious, then." Himchan said, giving Jongup an encouraging smile.  Jongup smiled back and put the batter inside the oven. 

A while later, Jongup was pulling the fresh brownies out, "Ahh, they look nice."

"They smell nice!" Himchan said, the chocolaty scent making his mouth water already.  He subconsciously his lips, making Jongup chuckle. 

Jongup cut the brownies then placed them onto a plate so that he could bring them to Yongguk and Zelo's house for dinner.  He carefully cooled one down and put it on a napkin for Himchan. 

Jongup brought Himchan's hands up and gave him the brownie.  "Tell me how it is, okay?" Jongup said, anxious to hear how he did.  It had been a while since Jongup had made brownies.  The last time was with his mother before she passed away.

As soon as Himchan took a bite, his whole face lit up.  The brownies were soft, chewy, and had the perfect amount of chocolate. 

"This is amazing!" Himchan said happily, quickly devouring the brownie.  Jongup laughed and handed him another one. 

"Eat a lot, okay?" Jongup grinned at the overly excited Himchan.  In response, Himchan animatedly nodded his head, taking another bite of chocolaty goodness.

Jongup ended up making another batch, since Himchan ate all the brownies.
