Irene's POV

My ears and cheeks immediately heat up upon reading Seulgi's message. Was she serious about it? Because I don't know what to say. Yes, I have admitted to liking her but that was out of nowhere. It caught me off guard. I was busy dealing with my thoughts when my phone rang.


Incoming call: Seulgi

"Hello?"

"Hey, are you okay?"

"Yeah...what made you ask?"

"You didn't reply to my texts. I was worried I offended you there."

"Uh, no... I just...didn't know what to reply." I softly whispered, shy of what she said and at the same time worried that she meant it to be a joke.

"It was true tho. I have this feeling of wanting to make you happy."

"Uh..."

"I know I shouldn't be saying this over the phone but I think I should tell you this now, after that message. I saw you laughing so hard and then suddenly I thought, what would it feel like to be the one to make you laugh like that? And the next thing I know, I am already looking forward to the feeling."

I didn't get to respond to that as well. It was sudden and it kind of overwhelmed me but nonetheless, the feeling was still appreciated.
