“What is all this?”

The Significance of One

Before we go on with the story, sorry for the interruption. This is, yes, the last chapter of the fic. It's officially finished. Thank you for supporting me, guys, through all this. I'm happy to say that I'll continue the sequel but the quality may not be up to standard, which I am very disappointed of. So, who wants some sneak previews of it? ^^ See ya now!

Listen to SS501's Crazy 4 U while you read -  - Play it again if it's ended.

“Junsu, are you sure you want to do this?”

“Yes, Appa, I'm going to give her a surprise. I'm sure she'll love it,” assured Junsu.

“I trust you Junsu. I trust you love her with your heart,” smiled Mr Kim.

“Do you think this is going to work, Appa?” frowned Junsu, buttoning up his new tux.

“Yes, I believe so, Junsu,” answered Mr Kim.

Immediately, confidence was brought to Junsu.

“Thanks, Appa,” thanked Junsu, facing his father.

“Good, now go prepare! Ri In's meeting you at seven and it's already three,” rushed Mr Kim, pushing the reluctant Junsu to the door of the room.

“But what happens if she doesn't come?” asked Junsu, fear evident in his eyes.

He fiddled nervously with his tie as his eyes brows dug deeper.

“I'll convince her, now go!” continued rushing Mr Kim, trying hard to make his old and weak body push a strong and youthful Junsu out the door.

“Thanks Appa!” Junsu skipped happily outside the front door, a smile lighting up his face.

“That boy sure is something,” smiled Mrs Kim, coming in and resting her hands gracefully on Mr Kim's shoulder.

“I sure do agree,” chuckled Mr Kim, holding his wife's hand.

By this time, Ri In's tears were already dried up. She was tired, exhausted and could not even lift up a finger. She just sat there, next to the couch, leaning on it.

In Ri In's hands was a a crumpled piece of paper, having both her and Junsu's signature on it, stained by dried up tears.

“Ri In, it's been so long since I've seen you!” exclaimed a feminine voice while entering the room.

Ri In lazily turned her gaze to the figure that had just interrupted her moment of peace. It was her best friend. Ri In closed her eyes and leaned back onto the couch once again, ignoring Yeonhee.

“Yah! Why are you ignoring me?” demanded Yeonhee childishly, stomping her feet on the floor.

Yeonhee wore a cute pout as she stomped over to Ri In's lean figure. She squat down before relaxing next to Ri In.

“Tell me, Ri In, what's wrong?” Yeonhee, concern in her voice.

Yeonhee's eyes were on Ri In, anticipating an answer. Silence filled the room before it was replaced with sobbing. Ri In brought her knees to herself, curling into a sobbing ball, shoulder's shaking.

Yeonhee, in her attempt to cheer up her best friend, wrapped her arms around Ri In's shaking shoulders to console her. Ri In uncurled herself and wrapped her arms around Yeonhee, her tears quickly soaking Yeonhee's blouse. Yeonhee gently patted Ri In's back, pulling her closer.

“Why, Yeonhee, why?” came the muffles question.

“I don't know Ri In but I'm sure he did that for a reason,” comforted Yeonhee.

“But what reason? Aren't I enough? He just told me he loved me the other day and now, he wants a divorce. What is he thinking?” sobbed Ri In.

“Don't worry, Ri In. He has a reason, I'm sure,” consoled Yeonhee, hugging Ri In caringly, like a mother.

After Ri In calmed down, her sobbing decreasing, Yeonhee jumped up and held her hand out to Ri In.

“Come on, Ri In, let's go shopping!”

Ri In looked at Yeonhee's earnest face pondering on whether to go or not. Not letting her decide, Yeonhee pulled the lifeless Ri In up. Ri In just staggered behind a pulling Yeonhee after some effort, she finally got Ri In to walk properly on her feet.

“Let's go in and buy some dresses!” Yeonhee suggested and almost ran into the formal attire store, making people stare weirdly at her.

Ri In smiled for the first time after signing the piece of paper. She felt released and free now and continued wearing that radiant smile, despite her wary face. She followed Yeonhee into the store, this time willingly. She met Yeonhee in the corner of the store, holding up a couple of formal and simple dresses, comparing to them to each other.

“Yeonhee, why are you choosing a formal dress, let alone come into this formal store? You look better in summer dresses,” commented Ri In.

“Omo, this is the first word, no sentence, you've said since the whole shopping trip!” exclaimed Yeonhee loudly, flinging her arms around Ri In in happiness, earning yet another dagger from people.

Yeonhee bowed apologetically to everyone because of interrupting their peaceful shopping trip. Then, without warning, Yeonhee pushed a beautiful black dress that went just above the knees with a creamy white belt on it to Ri In, shoving the poor and confused Ri In into the changing room.

“Yeonhee...?” questioned Ri In, staring at the dress lying in her arms.

“Try it on,” commanded Yeonhee with an authoritative voice.

“Al-alright,” complied Ri In, hastily dressing into the dress.

Sometimes Yeonhee can be a really scary person and wouldn't fret to mercilessly attack a person, even if they were black belt. Ri In knew Yeonhee too well. She shivered in fear, thinking of what will happen to her of she didn't comply.

Finally, Ri In emerged from the changing room, wearing the beautiful attire with a shy face. She had her legs crossed, covering her beautifully slim legs. She placed her arms across her chest to cover the parts that the dress did not.

“Oh, Ri In! You look...wonderful! Now let's go pay for it,” declared Yeonhee and pushed Ri In back into the dressing room to change back.

Yeonhee rushed to the shelf to grab a newer but the same size dress. She ran like crazy, eager, to pay for it before anyone else grabbed it. None of the customers have seen such a fast person, especially in a shopping mall. Their mouths hung open in awe as Yeonhee dashed to pay for it.

Once Ri In stepped out of the changing room, wearing the clothes she came in with, she was swept away by Yeonhee who was eager to get home.

“Oh, wonderful, Ri In! Now, let's apply some make up!” exclaimed Yeonhee once Ri In had changed into the newly washed dress when they arrived home.

“No, Yeonhee, I don't wear make up,” rejected Ri In.

She didn't like make up even though she wouldn't look her best without it.

Maybe that's why Junsu wants to have a divorce with me, thought Ri In sadly, looking down onto the make up table in front of her. She didn't dare to look at the mirror, fearing that she will get disgusted at herself.

Yeonhee knew what Ri In was thinking and shook her head at her friend's foolish thought. She placed her hand on Ri In's shoulder and made her look into the mirror.

“Ri In, you're a lovely person. You'll know why Junsu wanted a divorce with you soon. Didn't Junsu say he wanted to meet you?” asked Yeonhee, looking at the mirror, straight into Ri In's eyes.

“H-how did you know...?” questioned Ri In, looking at Yeonhee through the mirror as well.

“I just know. Are you ready to meet Junsu?” smiled Yeonhee.

“Should I be?” Ri In asked innocently, her eyebrows creased.

Yeonhee laughed, her melodic voice ringing through the room.

Ri In felt a pang of jealously. Why couldn't she be like Yeonhee? The perfect girl, inside and outside; her beauty beyond comparison, her heart's kindness beyond a person.

“Ri In! Stop thinking silly thoughts! You are beautiful in your own way, you're graceful, you're talented,” scolded Yeonhee.

“Sorry, Yeonhee,” apologised Ri In, keeping her head down.

“And stop saying sorry!”

“Sor-”

The two laughed together at the same time, enjoying it for a while.

“Now, let's go! It's nearly seven, Ri In!” rushed Yeonhee.

She made sure Ri In was wearing everything and wasn't missing anything.

“Let's go!” Yeonhee pulled Ri In outside the house.

Outside, the stars illuminated the streets, making every corner bright. People walked passed; mothers' holding their children's hand, the father piggybacking the little kids. Ri In smiled and the moon light made her more beautiful. She never knew the streets outside her house was so crowded and beautiful, full of enchanting laughter. She slowly walked into the passenger seat of the car.

“Are you ready?” asked Yeonhee, inserting the key into the ignition.

“Yes.” Somehow, thinking about her and Junsu like that together, walking on the streets together happily with their children, it gave her hope.

Ri In didn't know what Junsu wanted to talk about but no matter what, she was prepared. She needed to face the truth.

Ri In's heels resounded in the staircase, on her way to the rooftop of the building. Her heart was thumping so loudly. Yeonhee had abandoned her at the building, saying that she needed to face this on her own.

At arriving at the door, she hesitated to open the door, resting her sweaty hands on the handle.

As if Junsu had seen her coming, he called out, “Ri In-ah, come out!”

It nearly triggered a tear as Junsu called her dearly. He just made it harder for her to leave him.

Ri In took a deep breath to get herself ready and pushed the door open. Upon opening it, she was faced with candle lights placed on the ground, forming a heart shape. Ri In looked around and saw lights all stranded along the building, lighting up the place beautifully.

Confused, Ri In stepped further in and went around the corner. The wind was soft but chilly tonight. Her hand went around her face, covering it.

Ri In gasped as she saw Junsu handsomely standing in front of her, smiling a genuine smile. He wore a black tux and was brandishing in front of her. He looked amazing.

“Junsu?” she asked, still confused.

Ignoring Ri In's question, he held out his hand for her and smiled encouragingly at her.

“What is this all about, Junsu?” questioned Ri In.

“C'mon, I’ll tell you later,” promised Junsu and looked into Ri In's eyes.

Unsure, she unconsciously held onto Junsu's hand as he led her to the table in front of them. The white table had a candle in the middle with cutlery placed on it.

Junsu walked forward, his warm hand still holding onto Ri In's and pushed the chair out for Ri In. she reluctantly sat on it as Junsu rounded the table to sit opposite of her.

Ri In was about to open to ask again but was hushed by Junsu's finger being placed on her red lips. Ri In felt her heart beating very fast and loud at Junsu's touch.

“Eat, first,” ordered Junsu as two people came out from the inside, holding two plates out.

Ri In recognised it was Sunny and Jae Joong.

“What are you guys doing here?” Ri In asked, shocked.

They didn't answer her and only placed the food on the table. They served beefsteak. Once finished, they bowed politely and hurried out of the place, smiling mischievously.

“Eat and I'll explain after,” negotiated Junsu.

Having no choice, Ri In nodded her head and complied.

After finishing their dinner and dessert, Ri In was prepared to ask again until a song came on. It was a dance song that Junsu had especially prepared.

“May I?” asked Junsu, holding his hand out and smiling dashingly beautiful.

It was too hard to resist so Ri In gently placed her hand son Junsu's palm and he led her to open space.

He held Ri In's left hand in his right, holding them tightly but not enough to hurt her. Junsu placed his hand on her waist, pulling her closer. Ri In's arm automatically went into position to fit Junsu.

They were so closer to each other that Ri In's could feel Junsu's breath on her as they swayed to the dance beat. Junsu's arms held Ri In close and he used his hand to push Ri In's head softly to his chest so she could relax there.

Ri In gratefully placed her head onto Junsu's chest, enjoying the moment. Finally, she dared to ask.

“What is all this?” She lifted her face so her black orbs could face him.

They continued dancing, their bodies going with each other.

“I love you, Ri In,” confessed Junsu, smiling sweetly at Ri In.

Ri In was not sure if she heard right.

“What?” questioned Ri In.

Junsu in a deep breath and prepared to explain everything to Ri In.

“I just wanted to surprise you so I organised this. I thought that when you're with me, you never get a happy day. You're not mad at me, are you?” asked Junsu with pleading eyes.

Ri In placed her hands on Junsu's face and caressed it, “Babo...why would I be mad at you? Everyday I get to spend with you is the happiest day of my life.”

“Really, Ri In-ah?” Junsu grabbed Ri In's hands in his and looked into her eyes.

“Yes, Junsu.” Junsu immediately grabbed Ri In and pulled her into a kiss.

Ri In's eyes were wide open, surprised. She just stood still as a stone. Ri In felt something wet drop down on her eyes and was surprised. It was Junsu's tears. Junsu backed away, letting go of Ri In.

“I'm sorry, Ri In, I'm sorry,” apologised Junsu.

“No, don't be,” said Ri In.

She wrapped her arms around Junsu's neck and initiated the kiss instead. Junsu was caught by surprise but slowly wrapped his arm around Ri In's waist and deepened the kiss.

“I love you, Kim Junsu.”

“I love you, Ri In.”

Aw, it's finished. Here I am again! I have to say, the sequel is of better quality than this. :"D It's a happy ending! Yes, I told you that I was going to make banners but you know I . :( I made these. I'm going to stick them up on my profile page later. :D Especially adds effect is background is black. ;D

Alzina: Well, he is up to something good, isn't he? Haha. Thank you for going with me along the rocky words of the fic. Thank you.  Now, I've finished. Amazing. Gone through quite a lot. :D Thank you again, my dear fiend. :D

kyuhyunlover: yep! You see, don't you now? But, it's the end. So no wedding you can see but of course there will be one. You'll see in the ahemsequelahem. Don't tell anyone! Though by now, everyone must have known it already. So, anticipate the sequel to see the wedding yourself! I really am not sure if I'll finished it or not. Thank you for reading my fic, now that it's finished.

guiwang_4ever: I'm just to easy to see through! Everyone's saying it! That's unfair! Wy do you guys see through me very well? Nothing's a surprise for you guys. :( Poor me, trying to come up with something like this but just getting it spoiled. You guys are too smart. And have successfully outwitted me. Thank you for reading my fic, dear and loyal reader! You have been here since the beginning too. :D

Patzmelody01: I betcha do too. So, are you right? Haha, I'm just really predictable in my next moves. Nothing's a surprise for ya guys. Makes the fic boring. :( Thanks for reading my fic!

serenesmile: Haha, I make it bitter but not bitter ending! LOL, if I were to do that, things are just going to get more complicated. Don't worry. I like happy endings so I won't make Junsu suffer too much. Poor him. Though Ri In is more pitiful. Ah, those two. I'm starting to think the plan for my sequel is getting more and more stupid. Ah, I don't know! Thanks for reading the fic and you've been one very loyal reader. You've been here since the beginning till the end for me. Commenting with very much enthusiasm, I must say. Thank you for reading. :D

JINNY_boo: NO! I won't talk to you any more! He's Ri In's Susu. And I mean it! Haha, to be honest, that's one of the reasons why I actually want to leave AFF. Thank you for reading my fic and for accepting that Junsu belongs solely to Ri In.

913_aNg3l: DON'T! Ri In will get angry! She'll blast you off the outer space! Don't do it! I advise you not to touch him! But of course, if you wish, I'll be assisting you... Haha, of course you draw people that way. You wrap them in your fingers and spin them around. I'll stay, for perhaps as long as I can. Maybe 6 years? Or four. Studies are crucial for me at that time. Wow, I better not give you any more hints on who the villain is. Too much of a give away. LOL, Henry. When did eh come to the story? Yeah, I agree that you're awesome(weird). :D Yeah, college and stuff are more important than fanfics, really. You're at your point of study and so you must study hard! Yes, there are a lot of people who don't update. They must be really busy. :( Thanks for reading the fic and cheering my on, feeling SuYin shipper!

Kiyuuu: Haha, well, at least the stories got some kind of hold onto to it. People will still want to know! Words written are better then words imagined? Hehe. Thanks for reading the fic! :D

zunkies: Haha, of course he is, now that you've seen. Haha, naughty Junsu, isn't he? Thank you for reading and being a supportive SuYin shipper.

FLH_Lover: IF IT'S ENDED, WHAT WOULD YOU DO!?

Hmm...to replace my absence, I have updated with a whole lot of SuYin fics in my SuYin completed fanfic list, mostly one-shots from Soompi. And, if you look at the completed fanfic section in Soompi, you will see a lot of bumped SuYin fics that I've done. I bumped it so don't put my effort to waste! Remember, it goes to pages, not just the first page so look out for it! But I suggest you to use the SuYin completed fanfic list. :D See you guys in my sequel! I'll be posting up the declaration that it's AFF on a new chapter when it's out! :D Or just some sneak previews if you guys insist. :D
