If it was ever hard to move

Kim Bora.

Siyeon automatically smiles as she remembers the first time she met her. She was peacefully sitting, reading a book, under one of the trees located on the benches from her university. She suddenly felt someone sitting beside her and when she looks up, she saw the most beautiful face she has ever seen in her life.

“Hi.” Bora said with a smile.

“Hi?” she greeted back, a smile already forming on her face.

Siyeon continued to read while Bora just sat there looking around, enjoying the silent company of each other. At that time, it felt weird and awkward. What she didn’t know is that the girl beside her would change her completely.

She'd turn the rain to a rainbow

When I was living in the blue

She takes another swig of her Whiskey, feeling the slight burn in .

It doesn’t take long for them to be friends with each other after that. With Bora, everything is natural. Like how they would hold each other’s hand when walking, when talking, or just whenever they feel like it. And with that, the unknown feeling Siyeon has been trying to push back has become harder to fight back. After their finals, they decided to just chill at Bora’s dorm and eat whatever’s left in her fridge. Without warning, Siyeon cups Bora face, tenderly caressing her cheeks with her fingers.

“I’m in love with you, Bora.” Siyeon stated in barely a whisper.

Bora looks at her with love no words can express. And Siyeon, for the first time in her life believed in love and its glory.

“Siyeon, I love you so much.” Bora answered and leans in to give her a long and gentle kiss.

That is perhaps the best day of her life. Siyeon could swear that after years, she could still remember the feeling of her first kiss with Bora. Since that day, the two have been inseparable.

Graduating college together, first jobs, first travel abroad, first apartment together, first puppy adaption. Everything was just surreal. And Siyeon couldn’t be happier.

That was years ago.

“I’m gonna head home, Yubin. Thanks” Siyeon pushes herself off the bar stool.

“Anytime. Oh, and good luck!” Yubin sheepishly smiles.

Siyeon chuckled and waved goodbye to the bartender. As soon as she starts the engine of her car, she feels heavy and tired. She sighed as she tries to brush off these feelings and kicked in the gas.

With every step Siyeon takes, the heavier it gets. She held the object in the pocket of her coat, checking if it was still there.

“Baby? Are you home?” she heard her girlfriend ask from the living room.

Siyeon didn’t answer but instead made her way to the source of the voice.

'Cause sometimes I look in her eyes

And that's where I find a glimpse of us

Kim Bora.

“There you are! I’ve missed you!” the woman excitedly approached her with nothing but pure love in her eyes. She hugged her tightly, giggling a bit.

This is it. Siyeon thought.

I’m in love with you, Bora.

“Minji.” Siyeon calls out to the woman hugging her.

And I try to fall for her touch

But I'm thinking of the way it was

“Yes, baby?” Minji asked, pulling back slightly to look at Siyeon.

Siyeon’s breath hitches as she saw her own reflection in Minji’s eyes. An image of Bora two weeks ago flashes back before her eyes. The one with Bora slightly blushing from the Man beside her, arms around her slim waist.

Tell me he savors your glory

Two weeks ago when Siyeon accidentally saw the only woman she ever loved, years after the messy break-up, in the arms of another man.

The man she left her for.

The one Bora married instead of her.

Maybe one day you'll feel lonely

And in his eyes, you'll get a glimpse

Maybe you'll start slipping slowly

And find me again

Siyeon blinks and sees Minji's sparkling eyes.

Kim Minji, her lover for the past 2 years. The one that saved her from the depths of despair. 

The one that has always been there. 

Why then, if she is so perfect
Do I still wish that it was you?

“Kim Minji, will you marry me?” Siyeon blurted out, pulling the box from her pocket and opening it to show Minji the ring.

“Oh my god, Singnie. Yes! Yes! I love you, baby.” Minji exclaimed.

Said I'm fine and said I moved on

Siyeon smiled and took out the ring from the box, sliding it into Minji’s finger. Minji once again hugged her tightly.

Siyeon closes her eyes.

"I love you." she whispers, the glimpse of a woman in mind.

This is such a rushed one. I could have worded this better but I had to get this off my chest. Man, Joji's new song "Glimpse of us" is ing with me so bad, I cried the first time I heard it.
