Jisoo pops from behind her back, with that dimpled, cupid-shaped smile that never failed to evoke Jennie's heart.
From what Jennie could remember, it was an ordinary day. Jisoo had work, while she had her day off, washing the dishes. Their anniversary was still a few months away, and her birthday wasn't even due until next year. With furrowed brows, she takes a look at her wife. The ever-surprising Jisoo—eyes saturated with mirth and her all-teeth grin softens her. Perched on her hand was the parchment bag of sugar bread that she'd always buy back in her hometown.
Well—that's impossible. Her hometown was over two states away. Jisoo couldn't possibly go all the way just to get her some bread. The sight of the familiar snack knocks the wind out of her; and with the same excitement, she replies at the auburn-haired.
"Aww! Thank you, baby. This is sweet of you." Jennie takes the bag from her, taking a quick whiff of the content as she's reminded by her youth. Jisoo seems ecstatic about getting her gift. "What's the occasion?"
"Nothing. I just saw it and I thought of you." She shrugs.
Of course, the ever-surprising Jisoo. Jennie should've guessed that along with Jisoo's randomness was also her sense of care.
