Yu Yan's POV.

 

Waking up the next day, something heavy was lying on my chest - of course it was Zeng Keni...

The tall brunette was sleeping like an adorable kitten using me as her pillow. I tried to sit up and leave the bed without her waking up, but it was impossible task. With only a small movement of my slim body, the girl would tighten her hug and snuggle even closer into me. Her long limbs all over my torso. I ended up falling asleep once again but woke up still earlier than her. My bladder saying it needed to pee, I had no other choice than to sacrifice her beauty sleep and risking waking her up.

Slightly putting her head off my chest and unrolling her slender arms I whispered softly, "Keni, you need to wake up or at least move a little. I really need to pee please..."

Hearing her childish whine when she moved to the side, I jumped off the bed and ran to the bathroom as fast as I could. Feeling a lot better when the excess fluid left my body, I washed my hands and my face. After brushing my teeth I went to my bedroom, seeing the girl still sleeping soundly. Deciding to grab my pack of cigarettes and a lighter, I went to the terrace to have a morning smoke. It was almost noon and the weather today was terrible. Rain drops were falling heavily as the sky was covered with many black clouds and the wind howling loudly, making all of the nearby trees bend.

Going back inside the apartment to make myself a cup of coffee and some breakfast I started to cut a few kind of fruits into a bowl when a loud yawn could be heard from behind me.

"Good morning sleepyhead. Did you had a goodnight sleep? Because my body almost became flat with you lying on it all night." I , handing her the healthy breakfast I just made.

Putting a slice of apple into , Keni smiled innocently before answering, "You can't blame me Yan, you are just too comfy!"

Cringing at her response, I scolded her for talking with full and started to eat as well.

We were watching TV together when her phone rang and it made Keni ending up going somewhere with her friends... Probably.

I didn't know what to do so I decided to do some workout. Still feeling bored even after that, I texted Xu Jiagi if she had any plans for today and unfortunately she replied with a 'yes'. Sighing and preparing myself for a long day of doing absolutely nothing an idea came into my mind.

Grabbing my phone once again from its place on the table I called the cute girl from yesterday. I waited for a little and before wanting to hang up, the girls' voice appeared on the other line, "Hello? Is it you Yu Yan jiejie?"

With a smile showing on my face I replied, "Hey, yeah it's me. Do you happen to have something to do today or are you free?"

Saying that she had nothing to do, we agreed to meet at a nearby café where Sunrui worked a part-time. Changing my clothes into something more fashionable I grabed my wallet together with my phone and an umbrella. Putting the key into the lock to lock up the apartment I went to meet her. The weather was still very bad so I walked quite fast to be as dry as possible with the umbrella not working too much. Stepping inside the café and leaving my umbrella at the side of the entrance I spotted my friend, Sunrui waving at me.

My eyes scanning the surroundings and seeing no one similar to Sharon, I sat at my favorite table and waited for Sunrui to come and take my order. Not even a minute passed and the annoying girl was here.

"Hello my favorite customer. What can I do for you?"

"Hello my least favorite waitress. Can I have a green tea and a hot cocoa please?"

Laughing quite loudly, she took my order and walked away to prepare it. After a while she came back with two cups and surprisingly Sharon arrived as well.

Seeing me, she came to my table, "Hello Yu Yan jiejie, sorry I'm a bit late but I couldn't find my wallet." The younger girl apologized as she sat on the other side of the table and took off her coat.

Saying it was okay, I asked her if she likes the hot cocoa that I ordered for her.

Looking to her left side, she saw my stupid friend smiling devilishly at us.

"So Yu Yan jiejie, who is this cute young girl?" Asked Sunrui as she placed our cups on the table.

Sharon stood up, smiling cutely at the other girl before shaking Sunrui's free hand, "I'm Sharon Wang, 20 years old, I love to dance and I'm afraid of spiders. Nice to meet you!"

Seeing Sunrui stood there dumbfounded I couldn't help but laugh, "Hahaa! You should see your face right now. You didn't expect that, right?"

Getting back to normal, my older friend introduced herself as well before her boss yelled at her, saying she should go back to work if she doesn't want to be fired.

Sharon thanked me for her drink and took a sip. Observing her reactions I smiled proudly at my awesome sense for drink picking.

"It tastes amazing! How did you know that I like sweet things?"

Putting down my own cup, I petted her head before answering, "You just look like someone who would like it."

"So you are saying I look like a kid?" She challenged me, trying to look intimidating.

"No, I'm just saying you look cute." I said without any hesitation because it was the truth.

Noticing the slight red tint appearing on Sharon cheeks I realized what I just released from my lips.

"T-thank you jiejie, I think you look pretty too."

I chuckled at her reaction, feeling quite happy that Sharon was here with me and thankful for the circumstances of meeting her yesterday.

We ended up talking all afternoon. Sometimes Sunrui would join us if she had a free minute to spare. At the end of the day I paid for our food and drinks, of course with the younger girl objecting.

Saying our goodbyes to the stupid waitress I picked up my umbrella and suggested that I would walk Sharon home.

Thanking me again for walking her, the young girl went inside her house and I began walking back to my apartment. Feeling slightly cold because of the strong wind and rain, I hurried my steps so I wouldn't catch a cold.

Unlocking the front door of the apartment and stepping in, I heard a coming from Keni's room. Realizing the wrong time of coming back I turned around as quiet as possible, without anyone noticing my presence.

Thinking of a place to spend my time, I decided to go back to the café. My thoughts were about the noise I heard as my legs walked hurriedly. Noticing a slightly uncomfortable feeling that I wasn't familiar with. Was it an anger? Was it jealousy? Or was it hurt?

I knew that I liked Keni, but as a friend. Should I consider my feelings for her being more than that? I wasn't so sure what to think. If I liked her as a lover, then be it... I can do and feel whatever I want. My final answer inside my head ended up being that time will show what should happen next.

Entering Sunrui's café for the second time today, I saw my friend mopping the floor.

"Hey, did you spilled something again?" I , smirking as I sat down on a stool watching her.

"Yes, do you have a problem with that?" She asked, trying to hide her laugh from escaping as she tried to look tough.

We ended up talking until she had to close the café. She dropped me off at my apartment as she was giving me a ride in her car, telling me that I look even more terrifying when I'm wet from the rain.

I had a smoke in front of the apartment before my hand opened the door and I peeped inside. Hearing nothing unusual, my feet stepped inside the warm house. Taking off my damp clothes that I balled up and went to take a shower. Leaving my room to go the bathroom, the door to Keni's room opened, revealing a very blushing Keni.

"Yanzi! Can you please wear at least something?! Why are you walking around ?"

Confused I looked at my body from head to toe and my eyebrows furrowed, "? I'm in my underwear... If you want to see me , you have to go to shower with me instead of just standing there, you know?"

Becoming a blushing mess, Keni slammed the door yelling at a top of her lungs, "Yu Yan, you ert!"

Smirking and going into the shower, I let the hot water flow around my body. Leaving the bathroom after I finished, my eyes saw Keni trying to cook again, "What are you cooking? A ketchup with something?"

Turning around in her cute apron, looking like a five star Michelin with a spoon in her hand, she put the spoon in my mouth and waited for my reaction.

Too afraid to swallow I didn't move.

"Yanzi, if it would be that disgusting you would be already dead. So stop being an actor and swallow our dinner!" She yelled.

Listening to her, the 'dinner' entered my digestive system, surprising me or even her.

"It's better than everything that you cooked. Good job Keni, you can get married now."

Smiling at me, she looked a lot more nervous than her usual herself.

"Zeng Keni? What's wrong?" I asked her, unsure what to expect.

Meeting my eyes with her own, she answered quite unsure, "Speaking of marriage... I have a boyfriend."

Chuckle escaped me, "I know..."

Taken aback, she tilted her head to the side and carefully asked, "How? We became a couple today. You are the second I'm telling this to, after Lingzi."

Scratching the back of my head, a feeling of embarrassment entered me, "I kind of heard you when I came home..."

"But you came home a while ago so wha-. Yu Yan! This is so embarrassing!"

"Shut up! I left as quickly as I came in here! And stop blushing so much, you are redder than our dinner."

Keni sighed, getting back to her normal self, "Sorry about that. I mean it."

I grabbed the spoon in her hand and put some of her food into my mouth as I asked a little uneasy, "So... are you happy now? Do you like him that much?"

The happiness radiated through her at my lame question.

"Yes, I like him and I'm happy."

Patting the head of my tall brunette I began to serve our dinner that she cooked, "That's good to hear then."

But I wasn't so sure if I mean it...
