seulgi: wanna go on a date with me? like a friendly date

irene panicked when she sees the text. is seulgi really asking her out and not rent her?

she replied anyway.

irene: sure

irene: where and when

seulgi: power up cafe? 4pm?

irene: okay

isn't this a fancy cafe where couples go on a romantic date though? irene thought

but she came anyway

they arrived at power up cafe at 4pm, like seulgi said.

-"hey seulgi!" irene came to their table

-"hi irene," seulgi said

when they were ordering their drinks and stuff

they saw 2 familiar faces

it was joy

and wendy.

-"what are joy and wendy doing here?" seulgi asked irene in confusion

-"why are you asking me i'm not even close with them, you are so they should've told you something?" irene shrugged and look at them

-"well they ain't updating anything for us-" seulgi sighed 

-"i think they're on a date too," irene said

-"yeah, wendy's currently courting joy so that makes sense," seulgi said

-"isn't this too fancy when she's just courting though-" irene asked

-"i know right, wendy doesn't make such big moves-" seulgi replied 

-"or are they dating and didn't tell you?" irene tried guessing stuffs

-"i don't wanna disturb them right now maybe i'll ask them when we go to school," seulgi shrugged

their drinks and food arrived. 

-"soo...why are you asking me to go on a date today?" irene asked

-"well, since i'm bored and we're friends, right?" seulgi asked back

-"yes, we are," irene nodded

-"so friends can go on dates! but since most of my friends have plans today i'll just take you out"

 seulgi made up a reason. she doesn't even check on her other friends these days more than wendy and joy.

-"right..like them," irene pointed at wendy and joy, that seems to be enjoying their own world.

-"yeah ignore that. let's just..enjoy our date!" seulgi tried to change the topic

since she isn't renting irene, they can't hold hands, do skinship or do basically anything that couples do. it feels kinda weird but seulgi kno
