Chapter 1
Always & Forever With You
LISA’s POV
When I was young, my father always told me his epic love story with my mom. It had become my favorite bedtime story which I always requested him to tell it to me no matter how many times he had done before. Of course, the loving and gentle dad granted my request. It was my favorite story of all time.
My father was a very brave and loyal soldier who fell in love with a noble's daughter - my mom. They met when my father was tasked to the young daughter of a viscount upon her arrival at the capital. It was love at first sight between the two and they spent almost everyday in the capital together, sharing their ideology and their stand in almost every topic they could think of. My mom fell in love so hard that she confessed her feelings to her family hoping they would understand.
But mom’s family greatly opposed my father as a suitor because he was a commoner. They did all sort of things to break them apart even arranged a marriage between my mom and a high noble who was deeply in love with her. My father felt hopeless and devastated. He tried sincerely showing his genuine feelings with the family but all in return was mockery and insult. My mom wanted to leave and eloped with my father seeing that it was the only way for them to escape their fate. My father, of course, declined wanting only the best for her.
They got separated. Both were too busy with their own lives but they never had forgotten each other. Then, the war happened. Two kingdoms had been fighting each other for so long wanting to destroy one another but there was no victory in war.
All the sudden, the engagement between my mom and the high noble was cancelled. Not wanting to suffer being away from the love of his life, my father used this as opportunity to elope with my mom.
They had ups and downs especially when my mom let go of her nobility and be with the love of her life. Despite of all the struggles including being ostracized by the high society, my parents lived a happy life together with me.
“Lisa, my precious daughter. We are blessed to have you by our side. You are our little sunshine. Live and have a meaningful life with no regrets.”
We were happy once. It was just the three of us together eating simple foods, playing in the mountains, and learning different things. It was a happy life full of love.
And that is how I understand to live a meaningful life at an early age. There is no greater wealth than to love and be loved by someone.

"Lisa!" Jisoo silently hissed at me as soon as she saw me sneaking around. She immediately ran after me and dragged me to a corner of the building.
"Aww, unnie. You're holding me too tight" I complained to her. She usually does not understand her physical strength despite the lack of height she has.
"Do you know that you can get trouble for sneaking into our building? You might get into detention if someone sees you" Jisoo unnie said in a hush tone her eyes were on alert in case some students spotted us.
She smelt something and looked at the two small, wrapped bag that I was holding. Smiling I handed the two to her. One for her and one for that person.
"Here, one for you and one for Jennie unnie” I blushed imagining Jennie receiving my gift.
Jisoo eyed me suspiciously.
“I baked some cookies. It is Jennie unnie's favorite caramel cookie. I haven't seen her anywhere in the campus, so I tried my luck here, but you saw me" I reasoned out to her with my adorable pout.
She frowned at my attempt of being cute. "You know that Jennie is the student council president. She does not have time to receive some cookies to one of her fangirls. Now, leave before you get in trouble" she said with a shoo away gesture.
I whined.
"Unnie..." I dramatically called her name and leaned my full body into her making her step back because of my weight.
“I am not her fan girl. I am going to be her hubby in the future or is it wifey? Anyway, please give it to her…please” I pleaded using my beautiful crying aegyo.
Not wanting to cause anymore disturbance, Jisoo unnie took the bag that has cookies on it.
"Alright! Alright! I'll take this to Jennie and tell her that you gave it to her. Just stop with the awful aegyo – you look like a suffering clown."
"Yay!!! Unnie, you are the best" I said ecstatically and kiss her cheek. I am going to ignore that insult at my beauty.
"Ewww now go! Do not blame me if you will find this in the garbage. You know how she hates this kind of thing" she warned me giving me a pitiful look.
And I clearly knew why. Kim Jennie does not do love.
I just smiled at her and thanked her in advanced before I left the student council building.
Looking at my watch, I still have 2 hours before my next class. So, I decided to go to my favorite place at the back of the library building to do some light reading and possibly take an afternoon nap.
As usual, there were not a lot of people roaming around the library building. It was the least favorite place of the nobles. Most of the people, I passed by were my fellow commoners who borrow books for their midnight studies.
Few people who had the same status as I greeted me back as I smiled and said hello to them. Some ignored and threw me a disgusting look, but I just shrugged my shoulders not caring about their attitude problem. Enrolling in this academy was a privilege but along th
