The waves crashed against the beach and I stood with my feet in the water. Another shoot in the early evening and I was tired. The comforting messages from my fellow band mates before they left for New York for the concert and I was all alone. How ever much I got along with my co-stars it just didn’t feel like family…like home.

Poseidon was a big project. I was tired out by the end of each day. Nothing could refresh me. I guess that evening was different. You walked past me quickly and I got a whiff of your scent. Your hair flew around in the breeze and your lean body sprinted gracefully past me as you raced towards your little brother (I assume) who was pulling at a crab’s claw. Yes, one look at you, and I was a gonner.

I saw you everyday at the beach, sunning yourself, splashing about in the water, running after your troublesome brother. You never dared go too far into the ocean though, so I assumed you couldn’t swim. You had bumped into me once or twice but only bowed and politely whispered a sorry. Your voice pulled me in as I gazed back at you without answering. You gazed softened a little more and you bowed again and moved away.

I kept staring at you as you left.
