6th - End.
The Pacey TendencyLisa, Jennie and Rosé were already sleeping when someone knocked. Jisoo checked her watch.
It was 11:59 pm.
She looked at the peephole first. She caught her breath in disbelief.
She immediately opened the door.
It was Seulgi.
“I’m so sorry Jisoo,” she said panting. “Irene only told me about 15 minutes ago that you needed me to be here and – and –“
She held Seulgi’s hand and led her to her room.
Jisoo set up their projector.
And videos of Seulgi – doing random stuff, looking at DVDs, eating whatever, laughing, bursting into songs, looking at her with those beautiful monolid eyes – flashed before them.
The end of this film of vignettes conveyed Jisoo’s courage and veritas, because that’s all she can give.
Written against a white backdrop, scrolling like the end credits was this line:
“Mahal kita Seulgi.”
It took another two years of knowing each other, letting go of the past’s hollow promises, giving affirmations and reassurances and spending all their Saturdays together – come what may – when Seulgi told her back those words too.
But there were no doubts, no questions on her mind when Jisoo heard it from her.
“Jisoo.” Seulgi said one Saturday, after they finished watching “Once,” the movie which introduced the exquisite song “Falling Slowly” to the world.
Seulgi stared into her eyes.
“Mahal kita.”
“So this is you, honoring your truth?”
