In the following week, Jisoo will try to find Irene. She finally saw her sitting in one of the benches at Freedom park, beside Wendy, on a Wednesday afternoon.

“Irene.” She called out. “Can we talk?”

“Hey Jisoo,” Irene smiled at her. “Sure,” she said then stood up, signaling to Wendy that she’ll be back.

“Irene…I..I spend my Saturdays with Seulgi,” she started. It’s our day, she silently added.

 Irene’s brows furrowed.

“For the past three months we weren’t able to really get together though because Seulgi said you need her to be with you, and I understand that.”

Irene’s warm smile earlier has been replaced with a stoic expression.

“But will it be okay if – if this Saturday, Seulgi can be with me again?”

Jisoo hated this. It felt like she was pleading. But it. Unlike Irene, she’s sure about who she loves. And she will not apologize for that.

“Okay.” Irene said. “I’ll tell her.”

Seulgi didn’t arrive on Saturday morning though.

Jisoo can feel her heart breaking. Rosé opted to stay with her, as if sensing this will happen.

They were eating brunch. It was the same fried eggs and maling. But something was missing.

Seulgi’s magic basil leaves seasoning. Jisoo wanted to laugh.
