Part IV
It has been a week. A week since Seungri decided to run away from his problems, like a little boy who got scared of the monster underneath his bed.
But instead of imaginary tale playing with his concept of reality, it was a real, preying people who are after his head. It was like the witch hunt in the early nineteens, a chase over simple accusation. People pointed their fingers to someone, and that someone get burns in the stake.
Though, in the modern world, it's more akin to metaphorical burning. It's more along the lines of destroying everything you worked hard for.
Because that's what happened to him. Seungri no longer has pride to his name, his desires to perform shattered overnight. Even Yang couldn't promise him a better future, couldn't lie to his face and say that they'll just need time to prove that the accusations are wrong.
Because are they really? "Are they really wrong, Seungri?" Jacob's words cut through Seungri's heart.
Seungri wanted to utter, no, to deny it with every fiber of his being. But now he wasn't too sure. Are the accusation really wrong? Are the people really lying?
"It wouldn't turn into something this big if it's based on nothing," Jacob had told him, presenting himself as the voice of reason.
Seungri opened his mouth—but there were no words that came out. He closed it again, feeling silly for trying to excuse himself. He's such a ing monster. Trying to excuse his bad behavior? Jacob was telling the truth, it wouldn't turn to this something big if it wasn't based on something. Right?
Right?
Seungri's tears began to fall. It was like he was tossed right off a cliff and try as he might, he couldn't grab hold of anything to ease his fall—to save him. His hands grasping on empty air. "I'm sorry." he said, unable to say anything else. "I'm sorry," for what? for everything, he guessed.
I'm sorry for being a ing failure.
Jacob's face softened and he hug
