The onslaught of questions was maddening.
They didn't even let him breathe. The media was there immediately, as if they were camping outside of his house, his company, his car—they were everywhere all at once.
Of course, YG Entertainment did its job and tried to control the rumors before it transformed into a media frenzy. After all, haven't they been just that? Baseless rumors. Unfounded accusations based on nothing but mere whispers in the corners of the club he frequents to.
But he was wrong. He was dead wrong.
It was like a planned attack. Like a planned coup to overthrow a democratic government.
First it started with a small fry, an accusation to his dongsaeng, Hanbin. He tried to buy a drug from an infamous seller. But they blew it up as if he was the one selling drug, as if he was a long time drug addict. As if he was a criminal before he became a celebrity. As if he was the sole reason that drug infects the whole industry.
Then they attacked the foundations, Mr. Yang, blowing up his habits. That he was a horrible man, using his own money for his own habitual needs. That he doesn't deserve to flaunt his wealth into casinos, that he doesn't have the right to use his money in a way that he could, that he should led an honest life and never gamble.
Then they settled for him. The prince at the top of the castle — a name so big that even foreigners would visit a Korean site just to know the details. They placed his name in every scandal that they could. A name in a criminal private chat? A name in a bar fight? A name in a drug case? A name in the casino?
Name. Name. NAME.
Its all about the weight of a name.
They slandered his name, like a sheep for a ritual. They offered it to every publishing, every news article, every little thing that they could. They used his name. They used him.
And what else could he do? But take it.
Jacob isn't even talking to him anymore. When he got home after the meeting, he was met with silence and an empty bed.
Was it too selfish of him to ask his lover to wait for his explanation before jumping to conclusions? Seungri knew that his lover isn't used to the culture, that he was new to the industry, but goddamnit all he needed was a little bit of sympathy. Someone there to console him just as he did for Jiyong—
. What would Jiyong even thought of him? Surely he had heard of it now, frankly Seungri doubted anyone with a set of functioning ears would. It was all over
