Donghae's just getting back. From visiting the other stores. Hyukjae's working here today. He'd like to see him. For many reasons. And no reasons.

He'll be wearing Tempus clothes.

He goes through the doors. Pulls off his shades. Then he freezes.

 And he hears footsteps. Donghae can't hide in another one now. He just closes the door. Locks it.

This is the closest. He's ever stood to him. It makes Donghae take in a long slow breath. Notice things from this proximity. Like how Hyukjae's a few centimeters taller than him. He has such adorably shaped eyes. And there's that mole. On his cheek. And there's a faint sweet smell... fruit? Flowers? It's nice. Really nice.

Donghae shouldn't. But he does. He touches his hands. Takes them off his face. To see it better.

"Sorry," Donghae says. Again. But just as quietly. He smiles. At the familiar mouth. Chin. Lower part of his face. His lips look... moisturized. Soft. Cute. "Hyukjae, what are you doing in here?"

Hyukjae bites his lip. He looks so nervous. And that bothers Donghae. Is it him?

"You all right?" Donghae says.

Hyukjae nods. He inches back. In the small space. Donghae leans on the side. He really doesn't like it. Making him uncomfortable.

"I'm hiding," Donghae whispers. Hyukjae glances at him. Surprised. "My boyfriend's out there..."

He doesn't know why he's telling him. Doesn't know why he's hiding in the first place. Hyukjae's head tilts.

"He's nice," Donghae says. Quickly. Feels awkward. Embarrassed. Speaks before he thinks again. "Do you have a boyfriend?"

Hyukjae shakes his head. Slowly. And Donghae tries. Not to show shock.

So Siwon's... not a boyfriend? He's... something else? What, exactly?

Before he can ponder, worry... they hear footsteps.

Donghae moves farther from the door. Not wanting his shoes to be noticed.

He smells it more. Hyukjae's scent. It's pleasant. He realizes he's close enough. To wrap an arm around his waist. Feel his cheek. With the tip of his nose. Turn his chin. Feel his lips with his own.

Hyukjae's eyes are wide. He's so pale.

Donghae feels a rush of concern. What's wrong with him? Why's he so scared? What's he hiding from? Is he hiding?

Jaeho's voice is heard.

"Oh, Donghae's not here? I thought he'd be back by now."

"He should be coming back soon. Do you want to wait for him?"

"No, it's okay. I'll just call him--"

Donghae swiftly pulls his phone out. Silences it.

They hear Leeteuk's answer. Then footsteps. Donghae sighs in relief.

Hyukjae slides. Donghae's got his arm around him immediately. Helps the man to the floor. He's breathing fast.

"Hyukjae?" he says. Palms his cheek. Brushes his hair away. "Are you sick? You don't look well at all -- wait here."
