"AAHHHHH!" I scream as I hear another roaring thunder, I snugggled deeper into the bed

It was the rainy season, summed had just passed by. I was stuck at home since the restaurant couldn't open due to floods, Yujin had to go since she was a surgeon at a nearby hospital. I shivered as I felt the season getting colder, I always liked the rain but hated it when it was the rainy season, it's because I'm afraid of thunder and how it sounds. Usually when there's thunder, Yujin would cuddle with me and help me calm down, but since she became the head surgeon for her department, she oftenly stays at the hospital. I miss her oftenly too. I wipe the tears that I never knew was there

I stood up with a blanket wrapped around me, I went to the kitchen to make myself some hot tea, I put the pot on the stove and wait for it to boil, I check my phone quickly to answer an email from the head office. I turn off the stove and get my cup ready for my tea, as I was about to pour the boiling water, a loud thunder was heared around the apartment, making me drop the hot pot on the floor along with the cup, I crouched down and screamed as I cover my ears.

I hear the door click and footsteps running towards me, a pair of arms envelope me into a warm hug, I hug her back in instinct as I sob into her arms
