Yanan bows down his head introducing himself back to Yeseo, “Yanan”

 

Aside from the short story about her history with Lucas he heard from Yuqi, Yeseo’s name been mentioned in Pentagon’s chat room at Whatsapp a couple of times

 

Yeseo is one of the female idols whose name is quite popular among the male idols. Her perfect slim figure, white skin and pretty face makes it hard not turns heads every time she walk pass by

 

But despite Yeseo seems to be every guys crush and ideal type, every intention that tries to get closer to her are never intended to go somewhere near serious

 

Everyone is aware of Yeseo's reputation of ghosting guys around and never able to stay in a stable relationship

 

Yanan is a bit compassionate for Yeseo well being. Her age is the same as Yuqi but the image people give her is often harsh. He is sure there's something inside Yeseo that’s making her build the image people seeing in her, unconsciously

Yeseo who lives an area that’s across from Yuqi and Yanan’s happens to shop by a market there, “As I was heading back to the van, I happened to see two dogs i’m familiar with” she looks down to Haka and Mata

 

Familiar?, Yuqi asked herself slightly surprised by it

 

“Shocking?” Yeseo gazes back to Yuqi and Yanan, “I was too. Never have I thought I would meet you unexpectedly and unintentionally like this”

 

If only Yuqi didn’t know about Yeseo from Lucas. Weren’t there when she chased him all the way to China and bothered him to the point he had to hide in her room that night, Yuqi probably able to casually have small talks with Yeseo right now

 

“Yeah. Quite shocking indeed” titters Yuqi, “It’s also shocking you know it’s me from Haka and Mata”

 

Yeseo straightforwardly said one of the members back in the dorm is a fan of (G)i-dle and there are a few things she got to know from that one member. Including Haka and Mata

 

Yeseo then change the subject of conversation thinking Yanan was Lucas at first from far while wondering, “Wow, these two actually have the bravery to go outside together when it’s broad daylight” but as she walks close, she’s sure it wasn’t because Yanan is more taller than Lucas, “Turns out I was wrong” she said

 

In the middle of their conversation, a car suddenly approaches and pulls up on the side of the road next to them. The car honks 2 times. Yeseo turns to the car indicating that it’s her the car came to pick up

 

Yanan who was taught and raised good manners by his parents, assist Yeseo opening the nearest passenger door he can reach

 

“Thank you” Yeseo steps in

 

“Nice meeting you” Yanan closes the door and steps back to the brick sidewalk

 

The two remain in place waiting for the car to leave. When the car took a turn and disappears from their sight, they begin walking back to their dorm building

 

Just a few steps in, Yanan heard a deep sigh from Yuqi who is at the moment questioning herself why she became stiff when facing Yeseo. He tries to melt the leftover strange atmosphere they just experience with a joke

 

“Yuci” Yanan calls

 

“Hm?” Yuqi tilts her head to him

 

“What do you call a bear without any teeth?”

 

She rolls her eyes , “A gummy bear”

 

“Correct!” He exclaims and giggles, “How’d you guess?”

 

“It’s the first joke ge threw when we weren’t really that close yet” she shakes her head with a thin smile on her face

 

“That’s a very long throwback then” he said and continue to tell each others jokes until they arrive at Yuqi’s dorm

 

Yuqi offers Yanan to come in for a bit but Yanan politely declines because he needed to shower and change to go to Cube’s building

 

Yuqi encourages him before leaving and tells him she’ll be waiting for the results of that meeting, “Jiayou ge!”

Yeseo happily enters the dorm bringing not only her monthly groceries but also a good darn mood

 

2 of the members who is relaxing in the living room stares awkwardly to each other astound with her behaviour

 

Usually Yeseo nags coming back from her morning run with the gym trainer but today she wasn’t. In fact, Yeseo was humming to a song putting the food and drinks she be brought inside the fridge

 

“What?” Yeseo sensing someone is glaring at her

 

“What ghost possesed you this early?” the leader checks Yeseo forehead temperature with her right palm

 

Yeseo brushes the leader’s hand from her, “Can I not be in a good mood and hum to a random tune without getting an odd stare?” she closes the fridge door and puts back the shopping bags to one of the kitchen drawer

 

Because the leader didn’t get a clear answer, she follows Yeseo to her room full of suspicion. The last time the leader remembers Yeseo acted like this is on the day Yeseo announced she’s going to China

 

The leader leans to the open door crossing her arms and with firm tone she said, “Spill”

 

“What?” Yeseo turns to the leader’s direction and finds her sudden cold shoulders vibe very odd

 

“Well—” the leader sigh approaching Yeseo, “I can never erase that memory where you booked a ticket to China and still went when I told you not to”

 

“What’s the connection to it now?” Yeseo doesn’t get why the leader is relating the event of that day with this day

 

“The strange attitude the moment you walk inside this dorm. The, i’m baccckk and hummings” the leader imitates her

 

Yeseo bursts out laughing and takes a deep breath giving up. She recounts what happened that early morning to the leader and calms the leader before the leader accuse her of going to do something out of the ordinary because of it

 

“I don’t know why you’re so happy—” the leader recaps the story all over again, “Unless you got something rotten going on in your head there”

 

The leader stands back up reminding Yeseo that their comeback is just months away from now in hopes Yeseo doesn’t do something that can potential harms it

 

“I swear I won’t” Yeseo follows her from behind and closes the door as soon as the leader walks out of the room

 

Yeseo locks the door afterwards a bit to do a little gallery scrolling before hitting the shower, “This won’t be too rotten right?” she grins wickedly sliding each picture she took that morning

Day switches to night and only just a few hours left till Queendom starts airing

 

Yuqi used the time to shower, fill in Haka and Mata’s bowl of food and water, preparing her laptop for the teleconference with the members while they watch Queendom in separate places and order food to accompany her when she’s multitasking

 

Lucas is also preparing to tune in to Queendom and like Yuqi, he’ll be alone watching it. His Queendom buddy, Winwin, is currently in his hometown preparing for the Mid Autumn Festival tomorrow

 

Luclint : What did you order?

 

He chat messages Yuqi to kill time

 

Yucisha : Kimchi jjigae, you?

Luclint : Kimchi jjigae sounds nice. I think i’ll have that too

Yucisha : 🐒

Luclint : Hold on a sec. I’m gonna go order it now

(5 mintue ago)

Luclint : Kimchi jjigae on the way

Yucisha : 👍🏻

Luclint : What time is teleconference?

Yucisha : 20 minutes from now. Why?

Luclint : I plan to video call you

Yucisha : Didn’t we just hang up?

Luclint : Unusually after our calls. I have the members to divert my attention and thoughts so it doesn’t come running to you as fast as lightning

Luclint : But since they’re not here and i don’t have a house pet to play with

Luclint : My attention and thoughts went straight back to you

Yucisha : You sure you’re an Aquarius?

Yucisha : You don’t sound like one

Luclint : You’re a zodiac expert now?

Yucisha : I seldom read the daily horoscope

Luclint : Great. Then i’m guessing you know Aquarious matches best with Libra

Luclint : You are a Libra aren’t you?

Yucisha : 😂

Yucisha : Damn. I give up

Luclint : Meaning I can video call you again?

Yucisha : No 😛

Yucisha : I meant continuing the randomness. You’re getting quite slick cornering me with it

Luclint : Ok ok. I won’t force you

Luclint : 🙂

Luclint : Just because we’ll finally see each other again tomorrow

Yucisha : I almost forgot about that

Luclint : 🤡

Luclint : I’m going to pick you up at 7. Wear black. Because the color black never fail to be the perfect color to wear for a disguise

Yucisha : I have a wig

Luclint : Are you kidding me?

Yucisha : I press no laughing emoji 🤔

Luclint : Whatever makes you comfortable 🙃

Yucisha : 🙃

Yucisha : See you tomorrow Lucas

Luclint : See you Yuci

After Queendom ended. Yuqi secretly sends a chat message to Minnie asking her to not end the video call. Minnie waited and stay put til the other member says their goodnight and left the teleconference one by one

 

What’s up?, Minnie immediately shoots, Seems important

Yuqi fixes the position of the screen laptop begins telling what happened earlier and how she feels strange till this very hour with Yeseo sudden appearing

 

Minnie agrees as well. She thought why would Yeseo come to Yuqi and Yanan when she could pretend not to see them and just went straight home, Did you tell Lucas about it?, she asked

 

“No” Yuqi shakes her head, “Is it necessarily too? I’m afraid it might freak him out”

 

How about you meeting with Yanan?, Minnie asked again
