Joohyun was resting her on Seulgi shoulder, lying in bed. The blonde was scrolling through her phone with one hand. She liked to look at other tattoo artists’ works. Joohyun played with her girl’s right hand, and she noticed something unusual. She took a look at it and frowned.

“Baby.” Joohyun caught the younger woman’s attention. “You’re not wearing your ring?”

Seulgi looked at her one hand before kissing Joohyun’s forehead. She stood up and walked to her desk.

“I removed it earlier. I forgot to put it back.” Seulgi admitted.

Joohyun stared at her girlfriend, who was suddenly not moving anymore. Joohyun sat up on the bed when she heard Seulgi mumbling something. The latter slowly turned around, meeting the raven’s serious gaze.

“Where did you leave it?”

“I-I’m looking for it.” Seulgi stammered at the view of her upset girl.

“Where did you leave it?”

Joohyun remained sitting there, sighing. Seulgi could hear the raven exhaling loudly behind her back. She looked everywhere on her messy desk. She couldn’t have lost it. She just didn’t remember where she had put it. It was somewhere. But she didn’t know where.

“Seulgi.” Joohyun called, but the younger just kept looking for her ring. “Seulgi, did you lose your ring?” Joohyun’s voice was mixed with anger and disappointment.

Seulgi felt a firm grip on her forearm, making her turn around. She blinked twice and gulped.

“I’ll find it. I’m sorry, Hyun. I swear, I’ll find my ring.”

Joohyun let out a sigh, and Seulgi saw her walking toward the door. The younger woman immediately went back to her research. She started opening the drawers. But it wasn’t there.

“I’m doomed.” Seulgi ran a hand through her hair and let out a sigh.

Joohyun was upset. She knew how Seulgi was, but those rings were really important for her. She had thought about it for the past minutes. She shouldn’t have blamed Seulgi. The rings were also important for Seulgi, she was the one who bought them. The ring must have been somewhere in the flat. It was stupid to be upset for nothing.

So, she decided to go back to their bedroom. She found Seulgi sitting on the bed, her face buried in her hands. But something else caught her attention. A ring on Seulgi’s nightstand. Joohyun slightly shook her head. She was dating an absent-minded bear. She carefully picked up the ring and sat next to Seulgi.

“Baby.” Joohyun softly called the blonde, her hand brushing her hair. “I found it.”

Seulgi raised her head to the raven and grabbed the ring. She slowly put it on her finger. Joohyun cupped the younger’s cheek to make her look at her. She noticed Seulgi’s red eyes, as if she was about to cry.

“Don’t cry.” Joohyun pouted and pressed a kiss on Seulgi’s cheek.

“I’m not crying.”

Joohyun let out a giggle. She pecked her girl’s lips a couple of times before talking again.

“Sorry for being angry.” The older woman said, but Seulgi quickly shook her head.

“It’s okay. I understand. I should’ve been more careful.”

Joohyun opened to talk, but the younger stopped her with a kiss. Joohyun didn’t fight and gently kissed the blonde back. Seulgi often lost things, but she always found them back. But their promise rings was so important that she couldn’t even imagine losing hers.

Joohyun checked the list in front of her one more time. She put the paper down and looked up at Sooyoung, who was patiently waiting in front of her. The taller woman’s gaze was full of hope.

“Okay but I’m taking her until at least seven.” Joohyun spoke, earning a nod from her friend. “And we need to ask Chaeng first.”

“Sure. You want me to call her?” Sooyoung asked, ready to grab her phone.

“I’ll do it. Thank you for helping, Soo.”

Sooyoung smiled before answering. “She’s my friend too. I’m glad I can help you.”

Joohyun was organising a surprise party for her girlfriend’s birthday. She had asked Sooyoung for help a few days ago. The younger came up with an unexpected idea.

“I thought you’d not accept.” Sooyoung admitted, taking a sip of her drink.

Joohyun raised an eyebrow. “It’s nothing stupid or dangerous. As long as you don’t call stripers.”

Sooyoung faked a gasp and brought one of her hand to . “Do you think I could do that?” The raven glared at her young friend. “Yeah, I could totally do that.”

“Don’t even dare to think about it, Park Sooyoung.”

Sooyoung giggled. She wouldn’t do that. And she knew that Seulgi wouldn’t like this kind of surprise. But in the end, she thought that she didn’t like this kind of surprise neither. She liked more to see Yerim strip-

“Soo? You’re spacing out.” Joohyun’s voice suddenly spoke.

Sooyoung stared at her for a couple of seconds before clearing . She started collecting her things.

“I-I have to go.” She said, a bit embarrassed. “Tell me if you need anything.”

“Alright.”

Sooyoung bid her goodbye and left the older woman. Joohyun drank a sip of her hot chocolate. She pulled out her phone to call one of her friends.

‘Hello?’

“Hi, Chaeng. How are you?”

‘Tired. The service was hell today. What can I do for you?” Indeed, the chef sounded exhausted.

“Well, you know that Seulgi’s birthday is next Monday and Soo thought of something-“

‘You want to use the Black & Pink?’ Chaeyoung asked, smiling.

“Please?”

‘Of course, no problem. We’re celebrating all birthdays here, and partying too. Just tell me what you want to do. And you better let me help.’

Joohyun couldn’t help but grin. She knew that Chaeyoung wasn’t going to reject her, but she was happy to hear the chef’s enthusiasm.

“I’ll need everyone’s help.”

Seulgi’s birthday party was tomorrow, on Friday. But today, Joohyun had decided to visit her girlfriend at work. Seulgi was only one hour left before coming back home, and Joohyun didn’t mind to spend this time in the tattoo parlour. When the older woman stepped into the place, the bell tinkled. She could hear familiar footsteps coming to her.

“Hyun!” Seulgi almost exclaimed like a kid before pressing her lips against the raven’s.

“Hey, baby.” Joohyun chuckled, making the younger’s cheeks blush. “No customer?” Seulgi shook her head and showed a grin. “No appointment until six?” Seulgi shook her head again.

The younger woman stepped closer, put her both hands on Joohyun’s hips. The latter leaned forward and took Seulgi’s lips in a long kiss. She let her hands wandering on Seulgi’s back, bringing her closer to leave no space between their bodies.

“You know that someone could walk in at any moment?” Seulgi whispered as her breath touched her girl’s swollen lips.

Joohyun didn’t answer and made Seulgi walk back to the backroom. She kept on the younger woman’s neck. Seulgi was unable to resist. She felt the back of her knees touching her seat. She sat quickly and pulled Joohyun on her lap. Their lips met again. Seulgi slid one of her hand under the raven’s top, allowing herself to the warm skin. But their moment was interrupted by the familiar sound of the bell. Joohyun whined when she broke the kiss. She brought a hand to Seulgi’s upper lip.

“Your lipstick is messy.”

Seulgi was about to answer when she heard the customer’s voice.

“Hello?” It was a young man, she guessed.

“Coming.” Seulgi shouted, and Joohyun got up from her lap.

Seulgi was awakened with the pleasant smell of breakfast and soft touches on her hair. She yawned, rubbing her eyes. Joohyun was sitting next to her, on the edge of the bed. The older woman leaned forward to press a kiss on her girl’s forehead.

“Happy birthday, baby. Breakfast is ready.”

“Thank you.” Seulgi sat up and hugged the tiny body. “Good morning, Hyun.” She talked with sleep voice, her head resting against Joohyun.

The raven her hand on Seulgi’s back. She gave her another kiss on her hair and stood up. Seulgi followed the older woman like a lost puppy. Seulgi gaped in front of all that food on the table. She hurried to sit down, and Joohyun couldn’t help but smile at the view. Seulgi happily started eating with her girlfriend.

“Chaeng texted me earlier. Special meeting for the food truck so don’t wait for me, okay?” Joohyun spoke after some minutes.

Seulgi pouted a bit, she was disappointed not to have lunch with Joohyun on her birthday. But she knew that it was for work and none of them could do something about it.

“Tell her we’re going to eat in another restaurant for our next date.”

Joohyun chuckled at Seulgi’s words. She felt sorry for the latter, but it was for the younger’s birthday, after all.

“We can’t ditch our favourite restaurant like that.” The raven stood up to grab something in the fridge. She stopped next to Seulgi and whispered in her ear. “I’ll give my good girl a nice present tonight.”

Seulgi almost choked on her food. But she quickly cleared and composed herself.

Joohyun burst into the backroom of the tattoo parlour. Seulgi was here, her
