Chapter 5

“He is in good condition” The doctor said after doing check up on my eyes. I blinking, trying to adjust my vision back.

“But he needs to do physical treatment to move back his muscle because he hasn’t used it for so long. You will be able to move again soon after getting the treatment. This is just temporary. Don’t worry, Taeyeon.” The doctor said, patted my shoulder. I was lying on bed hospital, wearing a blue white hospital gown and I cannot walk. I don’t know how long I’ve been sleeping.

“Thanks, Doctor” Mom said. The doctor nodded before leaving us alone in the room.

“Mom…” my voice croaked.

“Yes, honey” mom sit beside my bed

“What’s happened?...” I asked

“You gotten into a car accident, Tae”

Tae…?

“And you were in a coma. It has been two years, Taeyeon. I-I thought I will lost you, honey but god still love you” mom caressed my hair with full love and her hand so warms.

So that was just a dream? That girl is not really exists?

“I’m thirsty….” I said.

“Let me take water for you at outside. We just run out of water” Mom rose up, was about to leave. I held her hand.

“Mom…”

“Yes, honey…”

“Thanks for not giving up on me…” I smiled

“I only have you, son. Of course I won’t give up on you”

I nodded

After a month…

“Aunty, we’re here!” Yul, my cousin pushed my wheelchair, entering my room.

“Eoh, arraso” we heard mom’s voice from the bathroom.

“I can walk, Yul” I said, stood up slowly from wheelchair with his support “Thanks” I walked slowly to my bed and sat on it.

“You are recovery so faster, Tae. Usually people will take for months to recover but you only took a month”

“I’m sick of this place, Yul” I pulled the blanket, covering my half body

“You will get discharge soon, don’t worry cousin” Yul put the wheelchair beside.

“Yeah, can’t wait to get out from here” I turned away, looking at the outside through the window. It was raining heavily out there. I always love rain and usually I am happy when it comes but why… I felt empty inside my heart when I see the rain today, I felt not happy, and it was felt like you are missing something important.

It was gloomy feelings…

“How’s the treatment, Tae?” I heard mom’s voice, came out from the bathroom.

“Good…” I said, still looking out the window. The sky was so dark…

“Aunty, I want to grab some food in cafeteria. Do you want anything?” Yul said.

“No, thank you. Yul” Mom said to Yul

“Okay, I’ll be back soon” Yul said before leaving the room.

“Your dad will come this evening. He has some work to do first” I heard mom put something on the table beside my bed.

“Okay…”

“Aigoo, our Taetae must be tired”

“Mom, don’t call me Taetae” I turned to look at her. “That’s so embarrassing-“

“I haven’t heard anyone call me Tae for so long. Sometimes she will call me Taetae in front everyone. Oh god, that’s so embarrassing-”
