When they were six.

The six year old girl was sitting on the carpeted floor, hugging her rabbit plush toy close to her chest. Her eyes were fixed on the six year old boy, who was staring at her with his sharp glare, but the girl was not scared.

“Hyunki, don’t just keep quiet. Make friends with Myungsoo,” her mother said, patting on her shoulder. Her mother then went into the kitchen, talking to the boy called Myungsoo’s mother. From their conversation, Hyunki knew that both of the middle age women are best friends, but Myungsoo’s mother moved to the other district eight years ago after her marriage. Now that her husband was transferred to this town, they’re going to be neighbours.

“I’m Hyunki,” Hyunki finally said, smiling.

Myungsoo did nothing but stares at her up and down . That made Hyunki checked her dress too, to see if there was something wrong with what she was wearing.

“You are wearing PINK,” Myungsoo said, stressing on the word ‘pink’.

“Yes, what is wrong with it?” Hyunki asked, tilting her head.

“It’s ugly, really,” Myungsoo said bluntly.

“No, it isn’t,” Hyunki replied, feels hurt since pink is her favourite colour.

“It is. And you shouldn’t wear that dress, it looks awful,” Myungsoo said again and Hyunki throws her rabbit at him. Her aimed went perfect as the rabbit hit Myungsoo on his face.

“Yah!” the boy shouted.

“You started it!” Hyunki shouted too.

“I didn’t throw anything!”

“You’re being rude and annoying!”

And it took them a few more shouts before the mothers came to calmed them down.

“I don’t like him, omma!” Hyunki was in tears when her mom brought her into her arms.

“Omma, let’s go back!” Myungsoo whined to his mother too. Both mothers keep on apologizing to each other, trying to hush their child at the same time, but both kids keep on shouting at each other.

 “I hate you!” Hyunki shouted before Myungsoo’s mother lifts her son and left the house. That is the first time she said that to Myungsoo.

When they were twelve.

Hyunki was hiding behind a tree in front of Myungsoo's house. It was 7 PM, and she just reached her house a few seconds ago, thanks to Myungsoo. That annoying boy hide her schoolbag and she spent two hours looking for it, and she only found it in the boy's rest room after everybody went back home. She knew it was there since that's the only place she didn’t look for in that big school. Because of that, she missed her piano lesson, and she was so angry at Myungsoo right now.

After she makes sure no one is watching, Hyunki tiptoed into the house's small garden. She looked for Myungsoo's shoes, took it and threw them into the dustbin and quickly ran back to her house.

Unfortunately, Myungsoo saw what she did. So after Hyunki closed her door, Myungsoo tiptoed to her house and stole her pink slippers. He cutted them into four pieces by using scissors. He was about to put the slippers back when Hyunki opened the door and caught him red-handed.

Myungsoo was about to escape when Hyunki grabbed a piece of the poor pink slippers and threw it to him. She aimed well and the piece hits Myungsoo's on his face. So both them spent a couple of minutes, shouting as usual.

"Go away, Myungsoo! I hate you!" Hyunki finally shouted before she slammed her door. That must be the 40^th time she said that to the boy.
