Every single day she did everything that she could to avoid her. She avoided her like a plague. She specifically drove 15 minutes out of her way to go out to eat or to study with her friends. It was a bit an inconvenience for Sunny and Yuri, but they understood.

Taeyeon was beginning to get back into the swing of things. She was in a routine of school and home, every single day. It wasn’t a healthy routine, since she didn’t really do much outside of her house. But it also wasn’t new, because she never really liked leaving the house for no reason. During her free time, she would sit in front of her computer playing video games. She recently got into the whole hype of Fortnite.

Just as she was about to log into her favorite game, there was a knock on her door. She sat her headphones down and walked to the door to find a eating grin on Yuri’s face.

“What are you doing here?”

Yuri let out a scoff. “Excuse me, but Sunny invited me over. We’re going out tonight. You should come with us!”

Taeyeon scrunched her face. “You should join us. You haven’t gone to the clubs with us for a long time!”

“Clubs are loud and… gross”

Yuri rolled her eyes, “So you’d rather be sitting in front of your computer, playing the same thing for hours straight with little boys?”

It was Taeyeon’s turn to roll her eyes. “It’s not that bad. Besides, you know why I haven’t been going out a lot… I don’t want to… you know…” Taeyeon shifted uncomfortably in her spot. “Run into… her”

A sigh escaped Yuri’s lips as she shook her head. “Look… I understand that you’re still grieving about her not being your wife. But Taeyeon-ah. For you to get over her, you need to get yourself out there…”

Taeyeon sighed. “You’re right… but what if I do see her?”

“Then you’re going to show whoever ed up with the universes that you don’t need her in your life. That you’re not going to let no slip in time or slip in universes prove that you’re weak and that you can adapt to change” Yuri said seriously as she looked Taeyeon dead in the eyes.

Taeyeon couldn’t help but let out a sigh in defeat. “Fine, I will join you guys at the club tonight. But don’t let me drink too much okay?”

“Assa! Sunny! Taengoo is joining us tonight!” Yuri cheered running out of Taeyeon’s room and into her roommate’s room.

So here they were at Club Oh!GG. A silly name to some, but it was quite the popping club to go to. Taeyeon, Sunny, and Yuri all arrived together. Luckily for them, with their social background they didn’t have to wait in line. They casually walked in with the bouncers bowing to them as they strode past.

Lights were dim, there were neon lights everywhere, and the music pulsated. There weren’t too many people inside the club. But definitely enough to need to squeeze past a few people. The three of them headed for their reserved section. Their friend Hyoyeon and Sooyoung were already there waiting for them.

“Am I dreaming or is Taeyeon actually here?” Sooyoung spoke with a chuckle.

“Ha. Ha. Ha. Very funny Sooyoung” Taeyeon scoffed.

They all greeted each other with hugs. Once they were finally situated, they started ordering rounds of drinks.

“A shot for Taeyeon coming out tonight! But also, that she’s alive and well to be with here with us!” cheered Hyoyeon as she held up her shot glass.

Everyone followed suit, even Taeyeon who hates the bitter taste of alcohol. They cheered and tapped their glasses together before downing their drinks. Taeyeon made a face of distaste as she swallowed the small amount of liquid. It was disgusting. Vodka was never her favorite.

Taeyeon found herself nursing a mixed drink, rum and coke. She was halfway through when Sooyoung came back with more shots in her hands. Taeyeon couldn’t help but let out a groan but complied anyways.

Holding their drinks up they cheered and once again down their drinks. The alcohol burned as she downed it. She was beginning to feel light and dizzy but comfortable. She was beginning to let loose. It was 11:30pm and the night was still extremely young, so it was time to let loose.

Yuri had dragged Taeyeon in her tipsy state down to the dance floor. Taeyeon wasn’t a talented dancer, but when it comes to clubbing… all you needed to do was sway to the beat and jump with your hands in the air. And that’s just what Taeyeon did. Alcohol tearing down her walls, she let herself go. She swayed ily but in a slightly weird way that only she could manage.

Sunny had motioned for them to come back after a few songs saying Hyoyeon’s friend had arrived. And so they pushed through the crowd and back to their area. As Taeyeon looked up, she felt her heart drop and her eyes go big like saucers.

Taeyeon’s eyes locked with the man she saw at the Undergraduate Library. As her heart was now beating rapidly against her rib cage, she wasn’t sure what to do.

“Hey guys! I’m Nichkhun, Hyoyeon’s classmate” he smiled bowing to the three of them.

Just as they were going to introduce themselves, another being had entered their area. For Taeyeon everything happened in a blink of an eye. Sunny had defensively stood in front of Taeyeon. Yuri looked at her best friend in worry but turned to look at the newcomer in shock.

A complete turn of events.

“Oh! You bought your girlfriend!” Hyoyeon smiled brightly as she set her drink down to greet the newcomer.

Yuri and Sunny looked at each other with knowing looks. They bit their lip in anticipation from what is going to happen the rest of the night. Taeyeon gave their shoulders a squeeze. She was tipsy but she wasn’t stupid. At least… not yet.

“Guys, I’m fine. I’ll be okay. I remember what you told me Yuri,” Taeyeon whispered as the three of them were huddled together.

“Well that’s good. I don’t want anything happening to you buddy” Yuri smiled patting Taeyeon on the shoulder.

Taeyeon turned to look at Sunny who was side-eying the new “friends” and then at Hyoyeon. The older girl could only chuckle and shake her head with some amusement. “Look, you can’t blame Hyoyeon for inviting him and him inviting his girlfriend. Hyoyeon didn’t know. They don’t really know about my other life”

Sunny let out a sigh, but nodded her head in agreement, “I know… But still, this could have been prevented and now I have to just worry about you”
