One week had passed since the day when the dating news was released. There are both positive and negative comments from the fans that have been circulating online. Some are happy, some are sad, but majority of the comments are not that in favor of the relationship of the two Korean Idols. Jennie was forbidden to go out yet and was also prevented to engage on any of her social media accounts until the issue about her dating scandal will calm down. The other members were also told to avoid going online and were also asked to lay low for the mean time until everything will go back to normal. At least that’s what their company and managers have in their minds. But for the four members, they know that it will still take a lot of time in order for everything, and including everyone, to go back to normal.

After that night of confrontation of the two ex-lovers, Jisoo and Chaeyoung thought that everything will get worse. They expected that there will be more tension inside the dorm whenever Jennie and Lisa will be in the same room. But, imagine their surprise when the youngest member came home later that day, straight from Irene’s dorm, with the widest smile on her face that she has shown to everyone since the break up. The two members never expected to see that smile too soon. It has been a while since Lisa showed that level of enthusiasm, which partly caused the relief of Jisoo and Rosè, but mostly, it worries them too.

Since that day, Lisa did not show any signs of sadness. Their managers and staffs have also noticed this change of attitude which made them also happy seeing that the old Lisa came back, the Manoban that they know who’s very mischievous, playful, and jolly. But the other members knew that Lisa was just putting off a show. Because her eyes tell something the opposite of her actions. The normal sparkles on her eyes are still missing, indicating that deep inside, she’s still hurt and very much affected by her issues with her ex, she just chose to forget and ignore her existence just like what the other woman was doing to her. Since that night when she was with Irene, she was also found missing in the dorm for almost everyday. She would always shout that she will go out for a while while running towards the door not even letting the other members reply and then come back home past 6PM. This new found behavior of the Thai irks the Kim so much that it also made her become more curious and restless.

On the other hand, Jennie still acts normal, but the other two members have observed that she became more fidgety since the night of her fight with Lisa. And, if before she ignored Lisa’s existence, nowadays, she seems to be more curious of the youngest whereabouts. She always ask the other brunette and red haired girls whenever the blonde was missing in the dorm of the questions ‘where is Lisa?’, ‘did you know that she has a schedule for today?’, or ‘who’s she with?’. These questions also made the other two uncomfortable because even though Lisa did not tell them or confirmed if who’s with her, they assumed that she was with the Red Velvet’s leader and they don’t know how to tell that to Jennie so they just partly lied to her saying that they don’t know anything about the Thai’s whereabouts.

And today, it is their day off. The members don’t have any plan to do today. The other three members were watching a movie in the living room while the Thai, which surprised the other members because she stayed home today, chose to stay inside her room, scrolling through her phone and texting Irene.

Irene: Lol. You’re so funny Lis. Anyway, do you have anything to do right now?

Lisa: I know. That’s part of my charm. 😉Nope. Don’t have any plans for today. Why?

Irene: Yes, I know. ☺️What about the other members?

Lisa: Same. I think we are all too tired to get out for today. It’s our day off. Why tho?

Irene: Great! Now, will you please open the door for us? 

Lisa was about to reply when she heard the sound of their doorbell. She quickly went out of her room and run towards the door which surprised Jennie, who was also about to open the door to see who’s ringing their doorbell. She slowly walked behind Lisa who did not even bother to look in to the peephole and just directly open the door for their visitors.

“SURPRISE!”

Jennie’s jaw dropped and her brows were furrowed due to the unexpected visitors that were revealed after Lisa opened the door. There stood in-front of her are the Red Velvet members, with the leader in front and the other members, Joy, Seulgi, Yeri, and Wendy behind her, each one of them holding different snacks and drinks.

“YOW WASSUP WASSUP!”

Lisa exclaimed while hugging the shortest jet-black haired girl so tight and kissed her cheeks that made her ex’s frown deeper. The youngest was also about to hug the other members but due to the fact that their hands are full, they just shook their heads while smiling at Lisa. 

Jisoo and Chaeyoung heard the commotion and walked towards the entrance passing by Jennie. They were shocked to see their Red Velvet friends and quickly went to them to greet and get some of the foods that they brought and motioned them to get inside. Jennie just stood there on her spot, smiling and greeting each of the members with a short hug and a stiff, but not so obvious, fake smile. She was waiting for all of them to get inside the dorm, and Lisa and Irene were the last ones to enter, with the youngest’s arm draping on the older ones shoulder. This sight made Jennie jealous, that her mood went down real quick to greet her supposed to be closest friend among the other Red Velvet’s members.

“Hey Jen! I miss you!” Irene got out from Lisa’s hold and greeted Jennie with a quick hug. The younger of the two offered a smile and returned back the hug, not forgetting to throw a glare at the seemingly oblivious Lisa who had her eyes at everything around her, but not them. 

“Miss you too, unnie.” The two girls broke the hug and the three of them, with Jennie following Lisa and Irene, went into the living room to see the other girls settling down.

Everybody was having a little chitchat while passing around the foods and drinks that the Red Velvet brought. Chaeyoung was so happy because of the food, and of course, because of her friends that she missed so much. While everyone was engaged in a group discussion to catch up with each other, there was a certain brunette who couldn’t focus on the conversation that the group was discussing. She was busy glaring at the two figures who were sitting together on the farthest side of the couch, having their own little world.

“Jen? Hey, Jennie!”

Jennie was snapped out of her trance and she quickly looked at Wendy. She looked around to see that all of the girls are now looking at her curiously. 

“Sorry. What?” She stammered while clearing , praying that none of them have seen the way she glared at the other two girls who were having fun on their own little world.

“I said, are you okay? After the dating scandal issues, you know.”

And that was when the other girls butted in, except for the blackpink members.

“Yes, unnie. We were worried at first when we heard about it. But later on, since Jongin- oppa was also a friend of ours and we know that he’s a good guy too, we knew that you two will be okay.” Yeri added.

“Seems like a little serious, eh? You know, for our company releasing a formal confirmation about your relationship.“ Seulgi said while taking a bite from her slice of pizza.

“We’re happy that you’re happy unnie.” Joy smiled at Jennie and patted her thigh.

Jisoo and Chaeyoung threw a worried look at their member who was being interrogated right now. Jennie seems to be a little bit lost and didn’t know what to answer to the statements of their friends.

“Erm.”

Jennie cleared again and tore her eyes away from the questioning girls. She looked at Lisa, but the youngest member quickly avoided her eyes and looked at the girl beside her who was looking at her with so much emotion which Jennie was really familiar with. 

That look. Jennie thought and looked down quickly.

The brunette was suddenly alerted when she realized what is the emotion that she saw on Irene’s eyes. It caused her to unconsciously tightened her knuckles on her lap. Her breathing became heavy and and her stomach began to churn. The lump on Jennie’s throat became bigger, and her chest began to constrict in pain.

Irene... loves Lisa. She concluded.

Her eyes became blurry, and her body began to tremble. She was not aware of her surroundings anymore. The other girls quickly noticed the change, and Jisoo and Chaeyoung sat beside Jennie and put their arms around her. They thought that the statement of the other girls are the reason why their main rapper was suddenly crying. If only they know.

“Oh my God! I’m so sorry Jen!” Wendy apologized and the other members followed her in saying sorry. They felt guilty because they thought that they are the reasons why Jennie suddenly teared up.

“No guys. Its okay. I’m okay. I’m just...overwhelmed.” Jennie said and look directly at Irene, who was now looking at her.

“I did not expect for any of this to happen. It’s very...unexpected.” She said it with so much coldness on her tone. The one she was glaring at suddenly felt guilty and looked down on her lap, where she was holding Lisa’s hand. Suddenly, the room became a total silence. No one dared to speak up again. The Red Velvet’s members except for their leader were really confused, thus choosing to stay silent. While Jisoo and Chaeyoung now also understood what is happening when they saw Jennie’s hand forming a knuckles, and when they saw how she glared at Joohyun accross the room. Lisa was still unaware of what is happening due to the fact that she doesn’t want to acknowledge Jennie’s presence. The Thai looked at the one who was holding her hand and finally noticed the guilt-driven face of the older girl. She frowned and looked at the one who was causing Irene to feel that, and was confused of the way the brunette was reacting. 

Jennie felt the stare that the youngest was giving her and looked back at her. 

“Why?”

She asked with tears threatening to fall from her eyes. She quickly got up and walked towards the side of the couch where Lisa and Irene were sitting, which surprised the girls inside the room. Basically, the other four members of Red Velvet are still not aware of the past between Lisa and Jennie. Jisoo and Rosè also stood up and tried to hold Jennie back, but their hands were brushed away violently by the now hurting and crying brunette.

“Is she the reason why you broke up with me?”

She finally said it while towering the other two girls. She was done. She doesn’t care if their other friends will hear about it, or will know about her and Lisa’s past. She was too hurt to even think about anything aside from the fact that she needed answers. The other four girls were surprised by the revelation, but also gave their leader a confused look, not quite grasping the whole situation. The other two Blackpink members just stood quietly at Jennie’s back and also ignore the questioning stares from their friends.

There was a slight twitch of emotion when Lisa heard Jennie’s question, but the older girl was not able to comprehend that look because the youngest eyes turned back with no emotions at all after a few milliseconds of change. She was now looking back at the brunette with a blank face and clenched jaws. The latter was now waiting for the younger one to answer her,  not giving up from the staring contest that they are currently having. If it was not for the sudden intrusion of the third party that broke their attention from each other.

“Jen, let me explain this.” Irene whispered nervously, but was also interrupted by the one she was holding.

“No, you don’t. There’s nothing that you need to explain.” Lisa tightened her grip on Irene’s hand when the black haired girl was about to get up and level with Jennie. Her voice was firm and strong that made the tension in the room even heavier than before. 

Jennie looked back and forth at Lisa and Irene with her eyes turning from hurt and betrayal, into pure coldness and hate.

“I can’t believe this.” She let out a sarcastic chuckle. The other girls in the room couldn’t help but look at each other with concern on their eyes, even some are still bewildered of what was happening, Jisoo and Rosè just gave them a look and soft whisper that they will explain everything later when the confrontation of the other three will finally finish. 

“And here I thought I was the one who was lacking that caused us to change Lis, but guess what? Surprise! My ex and my bestfriend are happily ing each other behind my back while I was grieving and painfully hurting because my girlfriend couldn’t even stand me being in the same room with her!”

Lisa just looked at Jennie who was now starting to jump on her place while rambling and with tears still streaming down her face.

“Was she that good in bed, huh, Lis? Is that the reason why you broke up with me? Because I couldn’t give you what you need?”

Everybody gasped and Irene even lowered her head in both guilt, embarrassment, and offense. While Lisa remain silent, Jennie continued her rambling.

“Tell me the truth. Is that why you grew tired of me? Because I won’t let you me the way she let you her?!”

“DON’T TALK TO HER LIKE THAT!”

And Lisa had it. She broke free from Irene and stood up angrily while pointing her finger at her ex. The older girl flinched back and their two members held both of her arms while sending Lisa a look of disapproval. The youngest realized her rage and took a deep breath while lowering her arm. She looked at Irene who pulled her arm for her to sit back on the couch to calm her down. She obeyed the older girl and covered her face with her hands.

Jennie let out another painful loud sob, shook her head and got out from the grip of Jisoo and Chaeyoung. She turned around and was about to leave the room when Lisa spoke up.

“I still love you.”

That sentence from the blonde girl stopped the brunette from walking any further, but did not turn back to face the younger girl.

“Irene and I were never in a relationship. I mean, we tried, but only because I was devastated by the news of you, dating.” Lisa continued and looked first at Irene, sending her an apology message that the older girl replied with a soft nod and a small smile encouraging her to continue, despite her aching heart. The black haired girl already accepted the fact that Lisa will never be hers, and that she will be forever owned by Jennie.

“I never cheated on you. She was only there for me after we broke up. Yes, we became close, started to hang out more, but only as friends.” Lisa took a deep sigh and stood up. Taking a step forward towards Jennie.

“I couldn’t move on Jennie. I know it was ed up because in the first place, I was the one who broke up with you. But that’s the truth. I still love you. That’s why hearing you dating a guy, tore me apart more than when I left you. The news broke me even more than the times when you pretended that I do not exist.” The blonde girl continued while walking towards the figure of the brunette who’s back was facing her. When she knows that she was already close enough with the older girl, she stopped.

“And so, I tried giving myself a chance to start a new relationship, with Irene, because I thought that since you already forgot about me, maybe I would also forget about you if I have someone new. That’s why that night, after our fight, I left Chaeng at the bar and went with Joohyun-unnie.” The other girls threw Rosè and Irene a short glance before focusing back at the ex-lovers.

“But I was wrong. I tried Jennie. Yes, I admit, I tried having with her, but I couldn’t do it. Because I realized, that you’re the only that I want to make love with. We only made out, I swear.” Lisa looked back at the other girls and saw how they look at her with disappointment and disbelief. She lingered her look at Irene who was now being consoled by her members. Even though they look at her with disapproval of what she did, Joohyun, her pillar and now bestfriend, only smiled at her sadly, and telling her that its okay. She sighed and turned her attention back to the person she loved the most.

“After that night, Irene-unnie and I cleared out that it will never work between us. We agreed that we should just be friends. She became my bestfriend and my pillar. She was helping me to move on from you by distracting me and giving me advices. She never get tired of me crying over you every time I went into her dorm and complained how much it hurts me by seeing you with someone else. That’s why I owe her a lot and I’m very lucky to have her as my friend. So yes, we always hang out and just spend most of our time together, without any intention of going beyond our friendship. In a matter of fact, she was the one who keeps pushing me to get you back. Almost every day, every hour and even every second. And then one day, she told me something crazy.”

Lisa blinked her eyes and took the courage by getting closer to Jennie, and slowly, wrapped her arms around the brunette. The older girl who was still silently sobbing let out a gasp and went rigid because of the sudden unexpected contact.

It’s been too long since you held me this way. Jennie thought.

“She told me, ‘imagine, what if one day, when you wake up, you will find out that Jennie is not in your life anymore. What would you do?’. And Jen, that was crazy because...” Lisa tightened her hug around Jennie and let out a silent sob.

“That was crazy because I couldn’t imagine a day in my life without you.” Jennie shivered and her heart swelled with happiness and hope. She finally held Lisa’s hands around her and slowly unwrapped it from her waist.

Lisa’s breath hitched because of Jennie’s action. She was afraid because she thought that the feline woman will walk out from the room and will leave her even after her confession. But there was nothing that she could do and just let the older girl detached from her hold.

The younger woman was about to let out a sob, when she felt the two hands who were holding hers cupped her cheeks and wiped the tears that were falling down on her face. 

“I’m so sorry, Nini.” She whispered and held the hands on her cheeks. She looked at the woman she loves who was facing her and let out a quiet sob because of the hope, hope that her apology will be accepted, that she will be forgiven and everything between them will finally be okay.

“Lili. I’m sorry too.” Jennie caressed Lisa’s cheeks while looking straight into her eyes.

“I’m sorry because I hurt you. I never meant to.  Its just, I was in a lot of pain after the break up. You are the only person that I love, my bestfriend and my soul mate, but you left me. I didn’t know what to do when you gave up on us. You were my everything lili. And you chose to let go. That’s why, I was so hurt, and confused. You left me without giving any reasons at all.” Jennie took a deep breath before she continued.

“And Jongin, he was there at the time when I was lost. I rejected him multiple times, but he was so stubborn. I wanted him to stop. But he told me that he would stop pursuing me if I will accept to go on a date with him. Just one time, and then he will let me decide. And so, I did. I agreed so that he will go away.” The older girl took her hands away from the face of the doe eyed girl and let it fall down to hold the younger girl’s hands. 

“We went out on a date. And even though I shouldn’t, but I couldn’t help but to enjoy his presence. He was very charming and funny that he made all the pain and my thoughts about you disappear for a moment. And that’s why I agreed to go out on another date, and the rest is history.” Jennie finished her explanation about Kai and tightened her hold on the silent girl.

“But he’s not you. No one will ever be you. And you’re the only one that my heart really wants. You are the reason of my happiness. You are my everything.” The brunette closed the gap between her and the blonde, close enough for them to hear their own pace of breathing and the beating of their hearts. 

“I still love you too, Lili. And I couldn’t imagine a day in my life without you, too.” And then they kissed, not minding the other girls who was now gaping at them.
