“Hybrids?” Aiden asked. “They actually exist?” 

“You have to make them” Wendy said chewing her bottom lip. “Actually, it says here anyone can make them. You don’t need a witch or warlock to help”

“That doesn’t make sense” Aiden furrowed his eyebrows. “Witches are the ones who perform spells”

“Not with blood magic. Any supernatural being can perform blood magic”

“How is that?” Yunho asked. Irene was still hyperventilating while Seulgi was whispering soothing thoughts into her ear, trying to calm her down.

“When blood magic is performing it’s sacrifice, and in return you usually get a new power or something. For this spell, you have to have both a vampire and a werewolf for it to work. It says here you have to kill the number of humans equivalent to the number of hybrids you want to make” Wendy read from the book. She took a shaky breath

 “I’m confused about the last part” Yunho scrunched his nose. “What do you mean?” 

“It’s like if you want to make seven hybrids you kill seven humans, correct?” Aiden said looking at Wendy to see if he was right. Wendy nodded.

“In your town, three people have died, so that makes three hybrids so far” Wendy said

“Is there a certain way they need to be killed?” Yunho asked

“No, not really” Wendy flipped the page “the killings can happen sporadically or all at once, as long as it’s a sacrifice”

“This is so twisted” Aiden muttered

“When do they become hybrids?” Yunho asked

“At the Lunar Eclipse”

“When is it?”

“I’m not sure. I don’t even know why someone would want to do this, if it were to be successful, I’m pretty sure we would all be dead by now”

Yuri stormed down the senior hallway like a tornado.

“Hey, gotta talk” he said sternly, pulling the girl away from the crowd of people

“What do you want, Kwon?” Chaerin asked, bored, after Yuri pulled her into an empty classroom

“Aiden told me about the ‘hybrid’ mojo jojo. What are you planning” Yuri demanded

“What’s a hybrid?” Chaerin asked dumbly

“Don’t act like a . I know it’s you trying to pull a Klaus Mikaelson on us”

“Don’t talk to me about him, I’m still upset about him not being with Caroline” Chaerin huffed

“Answer my ing question about the hybrids!”

“Don’t tell me what to do!”

“Stop being obnoxious!” 

“I know you are but what am I?”

Yuri glared at the girl. “What are you five?” 

“You better respect your elders” Chaerin spat

“You’re only 65 years old, you’re a young vampire”

“You could be my grandmother. You’re gramp the vamp” Yuri grinned at the rhyme he made

“I hate talking to you”

“It’s not fun for me either, gramps”

Chaerin glared at him. Yuri glared back

“I don’t know anything about the hybrids” Chaerin finally said

“But what about any suspicious behavior? Meetings? Organizations?” 

Chaerin thought for a minute. “Well, I mean some dogs were meeting with Daniel before we kicked him out”

Yuri’s eyes lit up. “Ok, go on”

“They would meet at like, dawn, and Daniel would take them to his office”

“Which werewolves were they?” 

“Not sure, I didn’t care enough to watch” Chaerin shrugged. Yuri growled, annoyed

“Anything else? Anything on the new guy cause Daniel’s been gone for the past year”

“No, nothing” 

Yuri rolled his eyes, walking out of the classroom. “Alright well thanks for hardly any info.”

“Alright ladies, hoco is in two weeks, so we gotta put on our best show for the big game” Momo clapped. “The homecoming game is going to be against our biggest rival, JYP High, and we are going to show them a little ‘friendly competition’” Momo rubbed her hands together mischievously

“Or” Tiffany interrupted. “We can all sit in a circle and talk about who we plan on asking to the dance”

“Girl talk!” Momo squealed. “Everyone circle up!”

The entire team sat on the gym floor with Momo in the center. She claims that she has to sit in the center because she is ‘fabber than you’.

“Well, I’m taking my girl, Chaerin, and I expect all of you to vote for us for homecoming royalty” Dara’s annoying voice rang out. Krystal rolled her eyes. Even if she wasn’t friends with Jieun she would still find the girl incredibly annoying.

 Jieun scoffed. “Okay, well I’m taking Taeyang  who, for the record, is so much hotter than Chaerin. So, vote for me for homecoming queen”

Jieun offered a sarcastic smile to Dara, who glared back

“You asked Taeyang to homecoming?” Jessica whispered

“No” Jieun said back looking worried. “Do you think he would say no?”

“Taeyang wasn’t nominated for homecoming royalty though” Sunny whispered back

“I don’t care if he wasn’t nominated, he’s the second hottest guy at our school since Kim Seokjin graduated last year” 

“What about Kim Hyoyeon?”

“He already has a date” Nicole said quickly

“You want to go with Taeyang? Dong Taeyang?” Seohyun asked raising an eyebrow. “Have you ever talked to him?”

“No, but if we talk about homecoming that’s one way to start”

Something was suddenly ed into Krystal’s hand. She pulled back, startled. It was some sort of paper towel tube with glitter on it

“Krystal has the talking stick! Let’s all be respectful” Momo said turning to face Krystal

“So” Momo rested her head on her hands. “Who’s the lucky guy you’re taking to hoco?”

“Uh” Krystal looked down. “Not sure”

“Oh, come on! We have tons of hot guys at our school! You’re blushing, there has to be some guy!”

Krystal glanced at Jessica, unsure of what to say

“She has a crush on someone” Jessica said for her sister. Krystal’s eyes widened

“Jess!”

“His name is Aiden”

“Shut up, Jessica!”

“Aiden has a crush on her too”

“Shut up!”

“Oh my god that’s so cute!” Momo gushed. “Young love is so cute!”

Krystal blushed as murmurs about her and Aiden circled the group

“We should help you ask him!” Momo suggested

“No!” Krystal exclaimed, eyes widening. Momo put a hand over her heart and gasped.

“Someone rejecting the idea of me, a romantic god, with asking someone else? I’m offended!”

“If you are such a romantic god why are you single?” Tiffany asked

“You disrespect me in my house? Take a lap, Hwang!”

“Are you serious?”

“Go, run!”

Tiffany had wide open while she stared at her coach in disbelief. Momo was always a drama queen but she never made people run because she said running was ‘the spawn of Satan’

Momo then continued to gawk at Krystal while Tiffany was suffering as she ran.

“Why don’t you want my amazing help?” Momo asked

“I mean I don’t wanna make a big deal about it, that’s all” Krystal shrugged. “I’m not sure if I even wanna ask him”

“I think you should at least try to ask Aidrian” 

“Aiden”

“I still think you should ask him”

“I agree” Jessica grinned, the whole team nodded in agreement

Momo started chanting “when I say Kry, you say Den! Kry!”

“DEN!”

“KRY!”

“DEN!”

“KRY!”

“DEN!”

“You’re being delusional!” Krystal exclaimed

When Aiden returned from his trip, he was bombarded with work.

“You missed a test and three quizzes” Mr. Park said when Aiden visited him before class

“I was only gone for five days!” Aiden exclaimed

“We are a very fast paced class” Mr. Park shrugged

“How did I miss four things in the timespan of five days?”

“It’s your responsibility as the student to make up the work”

Aiden sighed, running a hand through his hair. He went to sit down at his desk so he could repeatedly bang it against the wood

“Llama, what the fuuu” Yuri said putting his books down on his desk

“I hate school”

“You and me both”

“I want to go home”

“Same”

Krystal then walked into the class with her beautiful eyes glued to her phone. Aiden sat up straight when he saw her.

“Why wasn’t Krys in chemistry? I haven’t seen her all day”

“Not sure” Aiden mumbled

Krystal plopped herself at her desk next to Aiden, not noticing his return. Aiden stared at her and waited for her to notice him.

When she didn’t, Aiden decided to speak up.

“Hey, Krys” Aiden said waving

“Holy !” Krystal jumped. She smiled when she saw Aiden

“Aiden, you’re back!” she exclaimed as she threw her arms around the wolf’s neck. Immediately she drew back

“Sorry” she said quickly

“It’s ok” Aiden smiled. “I missed you, too, even though I talked to you every day”

“Awwww” Yuri said beaming at the couple. They both turned to look at him

“I ruined the moment” Yuri frowned going back to his seat

“So why weren’t you in chemistry?” Aiden asked

“Me and Jessica had a meeting with our guidance counselor, she wanted to see how we were ‘adjusting’” Krystal shrugged “it was pretty boring”

“Settle down class!” Mr. Park called out. “I will be assigning your partners for the semester project soon”

“I hope I’m paired up with one of you guys” Key whispered to Aiden and Yuri. “You guys are my only friends in this class”

“Aw, Kibum” Yuri said putting Key in a headlock. “We are your only friends period”

Aiden pretty much zoned out for most of the names called out. He started to pay attention when Mr. Park called out his friends

“Kim Kibum… you are with Lee DongHae and your topic is the Greek myth of Theseus”

Key groaned while you could hear Donghae shriek; it was no secret that he was afraid of the guy

“Kwon Yuri, you are with Choi Minho. Your myth is Perseus”

“Ew” Yuri scrunched his nose, displeased

“Krystal Jung, you’re with Aiden Liu and you will be researching the myth of Lycaon”

“Who?” Krystal asked

“The werewolf guy”

Krystal found this incredibly ironic. She thinks it’s the universe playing a trick on her. Aiden chuckled
