It was one fine day for all the girls who were having a day off.

Midnight

“Good night girls... And take care" Eunbi dismissed and bid the members a good night especially to those who were going back to the other dorm.

“Eunbi unnie, I’m staying with Wonyoungie tonight..” Yujin informed the oldest as she tagged along with the other girls from dorm one.

Hearing what Yujin said, Minjoo who happened to be the latter’s roommate widened her eyes in panic after the realization, showing her signature froggy face.

“Yah, Yujin-ah!–” Minjoo was about to protest but then was cut off as the said giant maknae ignored her nonchalantly and followed the rest of the other dorm girls left bidding farewell.

‘This brat... The audacity to leave me alone after suggesting watching a horror movie..’ 

With the thought of murdering the younger girl tomorrow, she sighed watching the rest of the members from dorm two begin to dismiss too and went to their respective rooms (well there were only two rooms in the dorm? And she happened to be living with Yujin in the same room – the one who just ditched her in her misery).

‘I guess it’s only you Kim Minjoo, for tonight’

As she was trying to sleep, she couldn't stop thinking about the unforgettable scary scene where the ghost just popped out its scary destroyed face fully to the screen. The jumpscares that kept repeating in her mind like a broken record couldn't help but only made the situation worse.

She felt like the blanket that's supposed to protect her only from the cold now wasn't enough to keep her hidden from the ghosts that imaginatively were trying to find her and eat her alive.

'Oh gosh.. someone protect me please..'

Subconsciously, Minjoo whined and cried in silence.

30 minutes.. 1 hour.. 

As the time kept ticking, the more Minjoo wasted her sleeping time. It's already dawn around 2 am. Although she wished to stay awake the whole time until the sky got brighter, it's still a long way to go to suffer. 

"Umma.. tell me why I'm such a scaredy-cat and a loser for being too scared over a stupid made-up horror movie.." Minjoo muttered feeling all devastated. 

While she was talking to herself, suddenly a sound coming from the kitchen caught her ears. Something fell off to the sink.

'Oh my.. don't tell me.. please I'm begging you just don't let the murder or anyone come to my room.. ummaa…' Minjoo forced her eyes closed tightly and tightened the blanket around her, making sure none of her body parts were revealed outside the blanket she's using.

For the second time that night, she cried. Not helping much with the suffocating atmosphere under the warm blanket that made her t-shirt damped in sweats. 

When she was shifting in her bed, suddenly she was reminded of her phone that she had taken with her to be used as a flashlight due to feeling too scared to climb back to her bunk bed after turning off the lamp (she couldn't sleep at all with the lights on). She immediately thought about texting her members or anyone that possibly could be bothered to accompany her to her long night at this ungodly hour.

'Chaewon unnie..'

Without having a second thought she opened their personal chat room and texted the older girl for help.

M: Unnieee

M: Are you still awake? 😥

Minjoo patiently waited for it. And seems like God listened to her prayers, Chaewon was online and a small Read text appeared beside her text boxes.

How it made Minjoo happy. Like seriously she almost forgot the reason why she texted the older girl in the first place.

C: Min?

C: You're not sleeping yet?

Seeing the replies from the older girl, Minjoo hurriedly replied– afraid the latter might go back offline.

M: Unniee.. can you sleep here with me tonight? 🥺

M: I'm still unable to sleep because of that stupid horror movie 🤧 and Yujin unbelievably ditched me 😭😭

Once her texts were sent, the Read sign didn't appear as fast as the previous one.

"Nonono unnieeee don't go back to sleep ye–" suddenly the door to her room cracked open indicating someone or someone was trying to get inside her room.

"Aaaa–" 

Chaewon who didn't expect the latter to scream immediately reached for the light switch and fli it on to reveal herself that she's no one else.

"Shh.. it's me, Min.." 

As Minjoo threw the blanket off from covering her face, she couldn't help but cry harder after seeing Chaewon standing there, with her phone in her hand. My savior finally came..

"Unnieeee.." 

Without further ado, Chaewon immediately approached the younger and climbed to sit on the edge of Minjoo's bunk bed.

"Hey hey, that's okay.. I'm here, I'm here.." after pulling the latter into her embrace, her hands were in contact with Minjoo's damped t-shirt.

"Aigoo.. were you having a bad nightmare?" Retracting out a little, Chaewon questioned the crying girl while helping to wipe her tears. "You're sweating so much.. let me get you a new t-shirt." Minjoo could only nod and watched the older girl climb down the ladders to take out a new cloth from her wardrobe.

Seeing the latter already calmed down from her crying, Chaewon asked Minjoo with a new dry t-shirt in her hand, "come on, take off your t-shirt now.. and get it changed."

Suddenly feeling all shy, Minjoo couldn't stop herself from blushing, inappropriate thoughts began invading her mind, "... can you close your eyes u-unnie? Or f-face the wardrobe while I get changed.."

This made Chaewon giggled.

"Aigoo.. Minjoo-ya.. It’s not like I haven’t seen–" she teased the girl who had her face now colored in crimson red.

"Unniee~" hearing the latter whined, Chaewon decided to stop joking around. It was 2 in the morning for Pete's sake.

"Okay okay, now you go change. Tell me once you're done."

With a little bit of struggle, because Minjoo did it in a little hurry, she's finally done.

"Unnie.. I'm done.."

"Okay.." then Chaewon took the damped cloth from her and threw it to the floor which got Minjoo chuckled.

"Now come on, scared baby Mingurii needs to sleep~" Chaewon teased a little bit only to earn herself a small slap on the arm.

"But unnie.. did you hear a sound coming from the kitchen? While you're on your way here?" Minjoo with her cute scared and curious face asked as a shiver ran down to her spine.

"Hmm? I didn't hear anything… unless it's….someone else? Or perhaps something else?" Chaewon was on the verge of laughing her out loud seeing how Minjoo reacted.

But once Minjoo realized that the older girl was just playing with her, she without a warning slapped the older's arm, "unnie! Don't joke around! I hate you" 

'Oh crap, I just made Minjoo cry again!'

"Aw sorry Min, I was just kidding but it was actually me who was drinking water in the kitchen.. and by accident, the glass slipped from my grasp while I was about to put it in the sink."

"Don't cry please.. I'll stay here for the night.." then without a second thought, Chaewon draped her arms around the younger girl.

"...isn't that the reason why you're here? Or are you planning to leave me alone once I'm asleep?"

"Haha no, I'll stay here of course.. pardon my 2 am brain." Chaewon giggled as she pulled away from the hug. "Come on, Let's sleep now? You have had a long night suffering.."

After getting a nod from the latter, they both laid down and shifted a little to find comfortable positions.

With Minjoo snuggling close to the older girl's neck, Chaewon pulled the younger closer and draped one of her legs over the slightly taller girl (but had become smaller at the moment); got their legs entangled with one another. The last thing, she pulled the blanket over their shoulders.

"Good… morning Min ㅋㅋ"

Realizing the joke Chaewon made, Minjoo chuckled as her eyes started to get heavier. 

'Oh thank God that I can finally sleep in peace and comfortably..'

After releasing a content sigh, Minjoo spoke for the last time before drifting off to sleep. "Thank you unnie.."

And Chaewon followed suit not long after.

The next morning..

"Chaewon-ah, were you from Minjoo's room? Where is she?" Eunbi asked.

"Did you sleep in her room Chaewonie?" Yena the beagle teased the younger.

While they're making a fuss, suddenly the door to Minjoo's room was opened, revealing Minjoo who just woke up when it's already lunchtime.

"C-Chaewon unnie.. where are–” seeing the figure she was looking for was just standing a few meters away from her she turned to the older girl and asked, “ why didn't you wake me up?" 

Minjoo was panicking over waking up so late in the afternoon. Well late birds like the kids of dorm two aside from Eunbi and Minjoo herself couldn't relate. Like why it's so wrong to get up late on day-offs – even normally on the weekdays they sometimes still get up late.

Out of nowhere Yujin just wrongly appeared, showing up in Minjoo's vision.

"Aigoo Minjoo unnie, why are your eyes puffy and swollen? Did you cry?– oops." After connecting the dots in her head, Yujin, wasting no time, ran away avoiding the raging Minjoo who just deadly glared at her for ditching her last night.

"Yah! Yujin-ah! Get back here you brat!" 

'I should thank Yujin later.. ㅋㅋㅋ'

Chaewon chuckled and felt sorry at the same time for the youngest.

A/N: was just cleaning and organizing my drafts and found this one. It's an old one (you can tell it from how they were still living in the old dorms where Yujin was still being Minjoo's roommate) but better than going wasted, here it is :> hope you still enjoyed reading this even though it's been a while for me to update.
