Prequel 1

Back to you

“I’m probably the most helpful person you’ll ever encounter throughout your whole life,” Eunji said as she dropped a plastic bag in front of Sunggyu with a bored expression.

Sunggyu grinned at her playfully, “You’re my savior, Jung Eunji.”

Eunji just rolled her eyes, she patted Sunggyu’s shoulder, “Good luck with your performance,” she said, “You owe me, Sunggyu.”

“I’ll treat you after if that makes it up,” Sunggyu laughed as Eunji walked out of the dressing room.

“You better!” He hear Eunji say without bothering to turn her back.

Sunggyu only chuckled in amusement. He quickly opened the plastic bag that Eunji had kindly passed it to him from his parents. It was only an hour before the musical was going to start that he realized he had forgotten his stage outfit. Lucky him, that Eunji was his best friend - she was willing to walk all the way back to his house and deliver him his outfit. Sunggyu would’ve done it himself, but he didn’t want to be murdered by Mrs. Han who insisted that she wanted all of her cast and crews gathered back stage an hour before the show.

The male quickly headed to the corner of the room and changed his shirt, and that was when he felt a pair of eyes staring at his back intensely. He quickly finished changing, and when he turned around, his eyes locked with Woohyun’s, who were sitting and chatting with his group of friends at the other corner. The younger quickly averted his gaze, but Sunggyu caught him blushing furiously.

It was ten minutes before the show, and the dressing room was almost empty since Mrs. Han had sent all the musical crews to their respective positions. There were only about five cast inside, Sunggyu and Woohyun included. The two still haven’t muttered any single word to each other, despite what happened the day before in Woohyun’s place. It was obvious though, that the both of them were stealing glances at each other at every chance they could.

“Sunggyu, Woohyun,” Mrs. Han called her main leads, “Go to the stage, curtains will be opened soon!”

The two quickly went out of the room and headed up to the stage, standing in the position they have practiced tons of time before, side by side. Yet, both of them couldn’t help but feel a double rush of nervousness - perhaps it was because they couldn’t help but admit that the other was looking extra fine that night.

Woohyun was having it worse. His breathes were heavy and audible enough for Sunggyu to hear, and his hands were as cold as ice.

Sunggyu grabbed Woohyun’s hand which was right next to his and the latter turned to Sunggyu in response. The elder didn’t budge but he squeezed Woohyun’s hands and whispered, “You can do it,” he said, “We’ve practiced this lots of time. Have some faith in yourself.”

Right after Sunggyu said that, the curtains in front of them opened, Sunggyu let go of Woohyun’s hand and they started their performance.

Woohyun had a hard time finding his parents after he finished his performance with all the girls surrounding him and shoving all kinds of gifts at his face. He was overwhelmed, but enjoyed the attention nonetheless. He finally managed to pass through his fangirls once Myungsoo came and dragged him out of it.

“Wow, thanks Myungsoo,” Woohyun grinned, his hands full of flowers and other gifts.

Myungsoo rolled his eyes, “If I didn’t drag you back there you would’ve enjoyed the attention a little bit too much,”

Woohyun only shrugged with a laugh, knowing the truth in his best friend’s words. He then made his way to his parents and took lots of pictures. Through the corner of his eyes though, he was looking for a specific figure, and he grunted in frustration when Sunggyu was nowhere to be found.

Once Woohyun was done taking pictures with his parents and a few of his classmates, and also fangirls, he walked back to the dressing room to change his clothes. And there was where he found Sunggyu, standing in front of the mirror while trying to remove his stage makeup with frustration. Woohyun could only laugh lightly at the scene he was given, and quietly thanking that there was no one else inside the room.

Sunggyu turned his head to the door, only to find Woohyun watching him with amusement.

The elder cleared his throat with embarrassment and looked down, “Yah, what are you doing there?”

Woohyun closed the door behind him and walked over to Sunggyu. He sat on the dressing table, and brushed Sunggyu’s bangs.

“You look like you need help,” Woohyun chuckled as he took the cotton pads from Sunggyu’s hand, “Can I?”

Sunggyu felt his face getting warmer as Woohyun leaned his body forward. He nodded.

Woohyun grinned at the approval, and excitedly poured more make up remover on the pad. He then wiped Sunggyu’s forehead gently, making sure that he didn’t miss a spot. Sunggyu gulped as he watched Woohyun clean his face with a serious look.

“Stop admiring me and close your eyes,” Woohyun said, “I need to clean it too,”

Sunggyu cursed at himself but did what he was told.

“Why aren’t you out there taking pictures?” Woohyun asked as he gently dabbed the cotton on Sunggyu’s eyelid.

“I don’t like taking pictures,” Sunggyu replied quietly.

But that wasn’t the only reason that Sunggyu decided to stay in the dressing room. He had this weird, disturbing feeling whenever he saw Woohyun getting showered by love by the girls, and even some guys. The worst part was that it looks like Woohyun himself was liking it.

“What a waste for someone as good looking as you,” Woohyun spoke gently, proceeding to wipe off Sunggyu’s lips. After he finished doing so, he pressed his own lips to Sunggyu’s gently.

Sunggyu wasn’t ready for this. He was flustered, but kissed Woohyun back passionately and Woohyun followed his movements. Woohyun’s hands made it’s way to Sunggyu’s hair as the kiss got deeper.

“Sunggyu?”

The two males broke the kiss immediately, panting for breath. Sunggyu turned his head to the door and he saw Eunji standing there, in complete shock. She had wide open and was stiffly standing.

Woohyun cleared his throat and scratched the back of his head, “Excuse me, I’ll have to go,” he said and disappeared from the room.

Sunggyu was still in disbelief. Eunji saw everything.

“S-Sunggyu,” she stammered, “You and Woohyun...”

“Please,” Sunggyu begged as he looked up to her, “Please don’t tell anyone.”

Eunji sighed and nodded, “Yeah,”

“You can’t tell anyone Eunji. Not even anyone you fully trust. I’ll get you anything you like, but please keep this a secret.” Sunggyu wasn’t convinced with Eunji’s previous answer.

“Sunggyu,” Eunji walked closer to him and gave him a hug, “I promise I won’t tell anyone. I’ll do whatever to make you happy.”

“Thank you, Eunji.”

Eunji pulled herself out of the hug and shrugged, “Who would I tell anyways, you’re my only best friend.”

Sunggyu let out a light laugh, “Hmm, glad to know that,”

“Well then, shall we get dinner? You’re treating right?”

Sunggyu rolled his eyes but agreed to it, “Yes, I’ve prepared my wallet for that.”

Woohyun was furious at Sunggyu that he started avoiding his texts and calls. Even if he replied, it was brief. He had been giving Sunggyu the silent treatment ever since two days ago and have been avoiding any eye contact with Sunggyu if they ever passed each other at the hallways or cafeteria.

Sunggyu didn’t know why Woohyun was doing that to him and it was driving him insane. He was eating at the canteen with Eunji when he caught Woohyun staring at him again. Sunggyu offered a smile, but was only returned with Woohyun looking away.

“See, I don’t get what’s with him,” Sunggyu complained to Eunji, “I haven’t done anything different for the past two days but he’s been making my life miserable.”

Eunji laughed at her friend as she munched her vegetables, “Look at Kim Sunggyu being worked up over his lover,” she earned Sunggyu’s killer glare, “And that’s how you know you’re in love.”

“You’re not helping,” Sunggyu grunted as he eyed Woohyun again, “It’s like he’s not even ignoring me. He’s trying to annoy me- look at that, he’s flirting with those girls again because he knows I’m staring at him,”

Eunji chuckled, “You’re actually jealous.”

It was as if Sunggyu didn’t hear whatever Eunji said, “Why is he doing that?”

“Go talk to him,” Eunji shrugged, “The last time I checked, I’m not Nam Woohyun.”

So that was what Sunggyu did, he rushed to Woohyun’s class after students were dismissed and waited in front. He heard Woohyun laughing along with some girls and when the male he was waiting for went out of the door, Sunggyu immediately grabbed his hands, earning everyone’s attention.

“Sunggyu hyung,” Woohyun bowed and played innocent, “Are you looking for me?”

Sunggyu cursed silently, and let go of the grip, “Yes, I need to talk to you,”

“Well, go ahead,” Woohyun gave him a challenging look.

“In private,”

“Well I’m in a bit of hurry right now,” Woohyun directed his head to the three girls behind him, “So maybe we can talk next time?”

“This can’t wait.” Sunggyu insisted, glaring at him.

If Woohyun had to be honest, he was scared and he realized he had pushed it too hard. So he had no choice but to tell the girls that he’d catch up with them after finishing whatever he had to discuss with Sunggyu.

“What?” Woohyun asked annoyingly when they entered an empty classroom.

Sunggyu shut the door behind them and glared at Woohyun, “What do you mean what?” He shot, “You’ve been ignoring all my texts and calls, didn’t want to talk to me, scratch that, didn’t even want to look at me, and you’re hanging out with those girls.”

Woohyun shrugged and sat on top of the teacher’s desk, “Well, I guess it’s only fair, don’t you think?”

“Fair on what?” Sunggyu retorted.

“I mean, you are dating that girl too,” Woohyun muttered, lowering his gaze to the floor.

“What?” Sunggyu frowned, “Which girl?”

“The one that saw us kissing last time,” Woohyun finally said, “Jung Eunji.”

Sunggyu was quiet for a moment before he let out a huge laugh which got Woohyun more annoyed than he already was. Woohyun was about to storm out of the room but Sunggyu grabbed his wrists tightly.

“Come on,” Sunggyu pulled Woohyun, “You’re not actually jealous about Eunji,”

“How can I not be jealous?” Woohyun finally let it out and he looked away, “You were with her the whole time, and whenever we were hanging out together, you’d always be texting her. And everyone’s talking about the two of you, shipping you two or whatever,”

Sunggyu had to take a moment to contain himself from squealing like one of Woohyun’s fangirls in response to how adorable Woohyun was. He was honestly glad that this was the reason behind Woohyun’s cold back.

“Woohyun, me and Eunji have been friends our entire lives,” he explained, “And I’ve never imagined being in love with her,”

“Great,” Woohyun crossed his arms in front of his chest, “Doesn’t that just make you two an even cuter couple?”

Sunggyu sighed and cupped Woohyun’s face, forcing the younger to look at him, “How can I make you trust me?”

Woohyun blushed at the close proximity the two was having, and also embarrassed at how he was too worked up with Sunggyu and Eunji’s friendship.

“Well, I trust you,” Woohyun pouted and answered softly, "It's just I know we're not really exclusive or anything like that so I don't know if I have the right to get jealous over something like this,"

Sunggyu smiled and planted a quick kiss on Woohyun's forehead, "How about we make this exclusive?"

Woohyun widened his eyes, "Do you... do you want too?" He asked out of disbelief.

The elder nodded as he gazed to the floor, "Um."

Hearing no reply from Woohyun, Sunggyu timidly glanced up again to the younger, who was still staring at himself, "So, do you want to?"

A grin crept on Woohyun's face before he nodded excitedly, "Yes!"

Woohyun then leap and hugged the elder - Sunggyu had to even balance himself by holding the table beside him so he wouldn't get pushed down. Sunggyu laughed at how Woohyun was acting before he got a kiss on his lips.

"Took you long enough, Kim Sunggyu," Woohyun said when he released the hug.

Sunggyu glared at him, "Well, you could've asked me if you really wanted us to become exclusive."

"Actually," Woohyun scratched the back of his neck shyly, "Since we are exclusive, I have one more favor to ask."

"What?"

"You know," Woohyun played with his fingers groggily, “Maybe ask me for a real date or something like that?”

Sunggyu had to stare at him in disbelief, but realized that he could make up whatever understanding there was about him and Eunji through this. So he cleared his throat, “Fine,” Sunggyu said, collecting all the confidence, “Would you like to go on a date with me, Woohyun?”

“Depends where are you taking me,” Woohyun let out a playful smirk.

“Yah, why are you playing hard to get like this,” Sunggyu grunted, “Just say yes,”

Woohyun pouted again, “That’s not how you ask someone to go on a date with you,”

“Oh come on,” Sunggyu sighed, “Fine. Let’s go grab dinner,”

“Just dinner?” Woohyun pretended to think, “That’s not good enough.”

Sunggyu glared at the younger with annoyance, he knew Woohyun was enjoying all of this.

“Dinner and then patbingsoo, and then go to the harbor?” Sunggyu tried again.

Woohyun smiled with satisfaction and nodded, “Well, I’ll consider about it,”

“Yah, Nam Woohyun!”

Woohyun laughed and caressed Sunggyu’s cheeks before landing a soft kiss on his lips, “Of course, I’d like to go on a date with you,” he said softly.

Sunggyu smiled sarcastically, “Of course, you better agree to the date,”

Woohyun only laughed, “Then if you’ll excuse me, I have some other things to take care of,” Woohyun said as he pulled his body away from Sunggyu.

“Wait Woohyun,” Sunggyu called and narrowed his eyes, “You better stop hanging out with those girls too,”

Woohyun grinned and shrugged before he left the classroom, “Well, if that makes you happy, I’ll gladly do so.”

Chapter 5: This kind of favor never really good feelings for me. At first, it's just a favor. But with time rolling, it turns into present and future. Putting my mind as Sunggyu (not this nice Sunggyu), how can i beat the beautiful memories? Will I ever be enough for him? I leave him for three years and she's there for him. How could i'm staying with him? Is he really love me like before or am i just a rebound for their loss? If she didn't died, will he love me and leave her? Of course no. How could he leave a sick person, right?

But well, not everyone as egoistic as mine. I'm curious did Hana know that when Sunggyu back, they slept together? It's hurt to know people you love, your boyfriend on top of that, slept with his longed love. Those 'boyfriend' tag makes it harder. It's different knowing your boyfriend slept with others with your half-side love slept with others. It's cruel, actually. Thank god you didn't explain it too much..

Chapter 4: Oh man, sleeping with other people while you're in relationship called cheating. Even if the girl know and approve it. You think waiting for three years without contacts are hard? Then you shouldn't wait for him when you got yourself another lover. Waiting never been a easy thing, but being the second option didn't give a good feeling either.

Chapter 1: I'm not really fond of other presence on the main couple, but Hana seems like a nice girl. Whatever the problem that fall upon Woohyun and Sunggyu, she looks like she don't really hate it. Since it's a woogyu fic, i pray for the pairing to be together and good news to the nice girl.
