Chapter 1

“What do you mean he cheate-AHHHHH!”

That was the moment So Hee tripped down the stairs and went crashing into a poor unsuspecting victim.

Twenty minutes later they were in a hospital, So Hee with dislocated shoulder, the victim with a fractured wrist.

“I’m sorry...”

She mumbled as they waited for their medicine at the pharmacy.

The boy gave her an amused smile.

“Someone was too busy gossiping.”

So Hee flushed.

She didn’t really have a chance to have a conversation or apologise to the poor guy when she fell on him. There was too much screaming in agony. Not long after,they were whisked off by an ambulance .

Staring at his face, she silently swooned.

He had the most gorgeous brown eyes, sadly hidden behind thick glasses. He wasn’t fat Nor was he fit. He was a comfortable in between.

So Hee thought he was adorable.

“I’m Yoon So Hee.”

She smiled sheepishly holding out her left hand to shake his.

“I’m Kim Jong In.”

He smiled holding out his right hand.

They paused for a second.

This wasn’t gonna work out.

Laughing, so Hee held her hand out for a high five instead. Saving the both of them from a very awkward handshake.

Jong in chuckled happily slapping her palm.

“I can’t even do PE. Why does university even have PE?“

So Hee groaned touching her shoulder that was still very much dislocated and nowhere healed enough to do sports.

“Sitting out isn’t that bad you can watch the Soccer boys. Correction hot soccer boys.”

Jinhee smiled nudging her shoulder.

So Hee frowned not in the mood to search for an eye candy.

Polpping into the bench she sighed, one hour of doing nothing. Suddenly she felt a weight next to her.

To right sat the poor victim.

“Jong in? “

She questioned eyebrows furrowing.

Turning to face her he grinned.

“If it isn’t gossip girl.”

He teased sarcastically.

So Hee groaned.

“Did your timetable change too? I’ve never seen you in PE.”

She asked genuinely curious.

He nodded.

“Looks like we’re going to be stuck on the bench together for a while huh.”

He mumbled as balls started flying across the room.

“Yeah.”

She sighed.

However, she didn’t think she minded, at all.

Week 2

“Business? You really don’t look the type.”

So Hee mumbled as she took a sip of water.

“My mum thought it was a good idea.”

So Hee cringed, a mum complex. Yikes.

“She said she won’t pay my school fees unless it was for business.”

Ok maybe not a mum complex, maybe just mean.

“What about you? “

“Law.”

“It fits you.”

He mumbled.

So Hee raised an eyebrow, did she really ?

“You’re as loud as a lawyer should be.”

Her hand connected with his shoulder resulting in a loud smack.

Week 3

“Soccer is so stupid, 22 men chasing after 1 ball!”

So Hee exclaimed to Jongin as the boys began playing Soccer.

“I was gonna go for tryouts.”

So Hee internally slapped herself. Whoops, never insult a man’s favourite sport.

“Why didn’t you?”

She asked feigning interest.

“Someone fractured his wrist.”

He replied holding up his arm that sat in a cast.

“Oh my Gosh I’m so sorry! “

She squeaked realising the severity of her mistake not forgetting to facepalm.

“You should be.”

He joked grinning.

“If you get onto the team next year I’ll buy you dinner. As an apology.”

Raising an eyebrow Jongin smirked.

“Really? “

“Really! “

“Looks like I’ll have to work even harder to get onto the team.”

So Hee grinned.

Week 6

“Oh my god Hyunsik from Soccer is so hot.”

So Hee groaned as he ran across the field.

She eyed the way he lifted his shirt to wipe his sweat, admiring the faint outline of abs.

He was hot.

Sohee leaned on Jongins shoulder as she swooned.

Jongin on the other hand had his eyebrows furrowed.

Watching sohee swoon over Hyungsik had a small part of him annoyed.

But he had no idea why.

Week 10

“What are you doing for during semester break?”

Jong in asked So Hee as they watched the soccer boys run around the field.

“I’m going back to Jeju for two months... you?”

So Hee mumbled as she stared at Hyungsik passing the ball. Not forgetting to let out a gasp as he attempted a goal.

Jongin hummed.

“I’ll be visiting my parents too.”

His eyes trailing the ball that was being passed around.

“I’ll be flying off next Friday.”

So Hee added glancing at Jongin.

“Want me the send you to the airport?”

He asked.

“I thought you’d never ask.”

She grinned.

“I’m your only Friend that has a car. You were obviously hinting at it.”

“Well I’d never.”

So Hee mock gasped.

Jongin chuckled flicking her forehead.

“Sorry I can’t pick you up. My mum insists on me going for this event. I don’t even know.”

Jongin groaned into the phone.

“No worries. I can take the train. I gotta go Jongin they’re calling for my flight. See you in school. Bye.”

So Hee quickly hung up her phone, making a beeline to board the plane.

So Hee groaned as she entered the school building, she was not looking forward to year two of university. Winter break was over and she was back on the dull campus.

Pushing through the crowds of excited year ones and stressed year fours, so Hee finally made it to her locker .

Huffing, she unlocked it and unloaded her stuff. It’s okay it’s just two lectures today then you can go to your dorm and be the pig you are. You can do this!

Shutting the locker door, she quickly her heels wanting to get out of the claustrophobic hallways. However, someone was blocking her way. Groaning she moved to the left, but the human followed her actions. When she moved right, he did the same.

Rolling her eyes she snapped “what’s your problem?”

Glaring at the stranger So Hee was slightly taken aback at his handsomeness.

“What kind of greeting is that?”

The guy chuckled at her attitude.

Narrowing her eyes So Hee wondered why he felt so familiar.

Eyes widening, she took in his entire being.

“J-Jong In?”

She gasped.

“Who else idiot.”

He replied running his hands through his hair.

So Hee didn’t recognise him at all.

His glasses were gone, replaced with what must have been clear contacts. His build was larger and he had slimmed down considerably.

“Who are you and what have you done to my Friend?”

He narrowed her eyes at him pointing an accusing finger.

Jongin rolled his eyes, “stop being weird and let’s go for class buddy.”

He slung his arm around her shoulder dragging her towards the lecture theatre.

That was the day Jongin went from a school nobody to the year 2 hottie.

Apparently, Jong In began working out to try out for the soccer team. His mom was sick and tired of his ugly glasses and decided to break them once and for all. Jong In explained that it had been very dramatic.

Just last year the duo were nobodies, now jongin was one of the best-looking guys in their level. With girls swarming around him for a chance to have a conversation and become friends. So hee got an upgrade too she was now known as Jongins friend. She too was constantly approached for jongins number and to pass on presents to him. In her opinion it wasn’t much of an upgrade.

So hee would always sigh and think to herself.

“He was always cute why didn’t anybody notice him then?”
