Yoohyeon POV

I stayed at the tree where Jiu disappeared I hugged my knees and berries my head in them. I can’t believe Jiu just disappeared right in front of me, I can’t believe I didn’t confess to her sooner, I can’t believe that I’m too late. After 1 hour or so, I picked up myself and dragged my feet home. When I got to my apartment I see all my friends standing outside waiting for me.

“Hey Yoohyeon what’s wrong with you” I heard Dami say, I didn’t look up to them, I don’t want to deal with this right now, I push past them and went in.

“Hey Yoohyeon stop” Sua grabbed my arm.

“Yoohyeon what’s wrong tell us” Handong asked.

“Leave me alone please” I said as I walk to my bedroom.

“We have left you alone for 2 weeks, Yoohyeon stop being Childish” Gahyeon stormed into my room. I went and lay down on my side of the bed

“It’s all just a Dream, it’s just a Dream, she wouldn’t disappear we still have 2 weeks left, please wake me up from this dream” I mumble to myself.

“Yoohyeon what are you talking about your awake” Gahyeon said

“NO IM NOT, I HAVE 2 WEEKS LEFT” I cried. I pulled the cover over me, and cried.

-Morning-

“JIU” I pulled the covers off me, I sat up and looked around me, Jiu wasn’t next to me. No it can’t be, No no no no. Suddenly I smell pancakes, could she be in the kitchen. Thank god it was just a Dream, I need to tell her how I feel now. I got out of bed in a hurry to see I’m still in the clothes I was wearing yesterday. I ran out of my room and to the kitchen

“JIU, IM SO HAPPY-“ I stopped in my tracks when I saw 5 faces look at me shocked. Sua was making Pancakes while Siyeon was setting the table, I see Handong, Dami and Gahyeon holding the boxes of Choco Pie I brought for Jiu. 

“Yoohyeon?” They all said, I can’t believe it, she’s gone. Where is she, she’s not here, surely that was only a Dream. We still have to weeks left, she can’t just disappear on me like that.

“Yoohyeon what’s wrong, come on stop ignoring us” Dami came to me. I forcefully took the box of choco pie in her hand and hugged it.

“Yoohyeon is this about the person you have been keeping in your apartment” Sua asked, I looked at her with tears in my eyes.

“She’s gone, She’s gone” I mumble 

“Someone lives here” Siyeon ask, as Sua nodded

“I’m not sure but I think Yoohyeon was living here or something” Sua said

“Damn our Yoohyeon heartbroken” Dami said

“Yoohyeon it’s ok, that person probably has their own reasons to leave” Handong patted me in the back.

“You don’t understand, none of you do” I sobbed

“Who is this person, I’ll go beat them up, for leaving out puppy” Sua said

“If you can find her” I mumble

“What was that” Sua said

“Guys let’s eat then talk” Siyeon said.

-After they finished-

We sat silently, in the living room as my friends look at home for an explanation. Handong got up to go and look around,

“So Yoohyeon, Who this mysterious person, your so upset about” Sua asked

“You wouldn’t believe me anyway so there’s no point” I replied

“What do you mean, where your friends of course we will believe you” Siyeon said

“But people like Gahyeon will say that I’ve gone crazy, or you guys will just laugh at me” I said

“We promise we won’t” They said

“Fine, So around 5 months ago, I met this thing, well on my birthday actually. I was just sitting alone in a desert place when she showed up, she was how do I say this, A ghost. She reached though the window and grabbed my cheesecake, I thought I was going to go crazy but it was true, she was a ghost, She came with me everywhere and I took her to see my grandpa, she knows stuff about spirits and stuff. So it turns out she saved my little cousin from getting into a car crash like 4 years ago. I was very thankful to her. Grandma told me that she had 4 months left, but I didn’t tell her. We needed to find out how she died but I was too late she disappeared. She followed me everywhere, too school, shopping, everywhere, I started to have feelings for her and I wasn’t she if she felt the same what, I mean I also thought if it was ok for us to be together, she’s a ghost and I’m a human. I was too late to tell her how I felt, I saw her in the park the other day, close to Han’s river. I told her how I felt and she said she loved me to but we couldn’t be together, then she disappeared forever” I told them with tears in my eyes.

“That’s why you talk to yourself, it was because she was with you.” Dami said

“Wow ghost actually exist” Gahyeon said Amazed.

“Hey guys look what I found” Handong said coming out of my room, she then handed me the piece of paper

‘Dear Yoohyeon’

I’m sorry for wasting your time, I have no regret meeting you. I was so happy meeting you and your friends, your really made my last year here happy and joyful. I hope you find someone who knows how to take care of you when you fall, pick you up when your down and knows how to make you laugh. Thank you for everything Yoohyeon, you don’t need to do anything else for me, being able to stay beside you is enough for me. Please say goodbye to your family for me I’m grateful to them too. Goodbye Yoohyeon thank you

I cried as I finished reading the letter, why did you leave me Jiu.

“Wait What is this about” Handong asked, I sigh as I explained again about what had just happened 5 months ago.

“Wait Yoohyeon, can I see the letter” Siyeon suddenly asked, I handed her the letter.

“What is it” I asked

“Handong could this be her” Siyeon looked at Handong

“Hey Yoohyeon we’re going to show you a photo” Handong said and it made my heart thump, could they know Jiu. Siyeon opened her phone and scrolled through it for a while

“Does this look like her” Siyeon asked, OMG that’s Jiu, I looked at Siyeon in shock.

“You know Jiu“ I asked in shock 

“Jiu, Kim Minji, Tall, childish” Siyeon said back

“Yeah that’s her, what the hell, what happened to her” I replied

“Well I’m not that sure because, Me and Dongie we were her best friends, she was trapped, she couldn’t live freely like you and I, she had expectations to meet. Jiu Minji originates from a rich family, she had rules to follow. Minji is a stubborn person, she didn’t listen to the rules her father set. She would sneak out to have fun with us, she eventually found herself a boyfriend. Her boyfriend asked her to run away with him and she did, I told her not to but she didn’t listen, she went to Incheon with him and I- I haven’t heard from her since. I then heard that she was in hospital, we tried to go and visit her but her father wouldn’t allow us because we where a bad influence to her” Siyeon explained, 

so all this time, all this time I could I saved her if I had just asked for help. I’m so stupid Why didn’t I think about asking people, maybe it’s because I was scared they were going to laugh, maybe it was because I thought they wouldn’t believe me. I am truely sorry Jiu.
