Prologue:


"Let me go. Just this once. Please." She pleaded, her eyes clouded with her tears. He gulped down the imaginary lump on his throat, seeing the streak of sadness visible from her eyes and face.

She's asking him to let her go. 

Her.. The only girl that he loved and will love for the rest of his life. 
Her.. The only girl that he wanted to be by his side through everything.

But she's asking him the last thing he wanted to do.

"Don't.. Please." He said, with the same pleading voice. He fell down on his knees, clutching her hand tight as if his life depends on it, stopping her from walking away from him. And his tears, automatically trailed on his cheeks, hitting the cold ground floor.

What she wants is impossible. He just can't easily let her leave him. He loves her too much. For years, he's used to having her all the time. And with just one snap, he has to let her go? No. Definitely not. 

"If you love me, let me go. Just this once." Her voice almost broke because of her quiet sobs. The sight of the only man she loved, kneeling in front of her with tears in his eyes, is as painful as what she felt when she started loving him. 

She had too much already. Yes she love him, but the pain is giving her a hard time. He's already hurting her, yet he can't see it. And that adds more pain for her. She felt burden, she can't feel him anymore, the way he was before. She's doing this for the sake of their relationship. 

"Please." He don't know what to say anymore, instead, his eyes spoke for him. His tears answered her instead. That one word escaped his lips, hoping that it would change her mind. The tighter he clutch her hand, the fiercer she struggles out of his grip. And after a few more tries, she succeeded, his hand falling to his sides. That was his last chance to stop her, but he failed. Feeling her hand slip away from his, felt like it's the end of his world. He knew that it might be the last time he would hold her hand.

"I love you." She whispered, placing a note right in front of him, before quickly pacing away from him. And as soon as she turned her back on him, more tears fell from her eyes. She never thought that it could be this painful. All along, she prepared herself for this. This was far from what she pictured in her mind. The urge to turn around was too strong that she thought she would fail. 

He let his tears fall freely, his eyes landing on the piece of paper that she left. With trembling hands, he took it and opened it.

I love you. I always will. Remember that. I didn't ask for this because I don't love you anymore, but because we need to reflect on what we really feel for each other. I'm tired of getting hurt already. I love you too much that it pains always being the same situation. It seems that everything between us is falling apart. And I can't let myself watch us slowly lose what we have. Make use of this time to think about us baby. I know you understand me right? I love you. Mianhaeyo~

There's no words that can describe what he's feeling. He knows that he already caused too much pain for her. But not this much.

Or is he just blinded by his feeling? Was she really happy with him throughout the five years they've been together? Did he even listen to her? Did he even make her feel that she's the only girl for him?

"I'm sorry." He whispered, clutching the letter tight to his chest. What will happen to him if she decides to just leave him? Will he even get a chance to make it up to her?
