Prologue

Kim Jennie’s first impression of the tall boy with the soft chestnut coloured hair and a face that looked like God had spent hours in sculpting every single detail so perfectly was that he was a brazen conceited first year who looked like he had no interest in being involved in anything.

And his name was...

“Jeon Jungkook,”

“Huh?”

The brunette who was supposed to be next in line to register at the welcoming committee table didn’t even looked up from his phone even though he very much knew that it was his turn. Jennie pursed her lips into a thin line, obviously not impressed with his attitude.

Excuse me but please don’t look at your cell phone while I’m talking to you.

“You’re Jeon Jungkook from Class D right? Here is a school brochure with a school map on it and also please put this pin on your chest. You are to wait in the classroom until you are called to the gym for the opening ceremony,” Jennie said in the same ‘welcoming’ tone she had been using all morning to greet the new students.

“Uh-huh, hold on,” Jeon Jungkook muttered back, still looking down at his phone and in the midst of replying a text.

Jennie had to fight the urge to roll her eyes at him but knew she had to keep her cool. She then waited for the boy to be done with whatever the hell he was doing on his phone, getting impatient by the second as she did. There were still a few more students behind him, waiting for their turn to register themselves before the opening ceremony.

Jennie cleared , trying to give the brunette a hint that he was holding the line. The boy however only briefly glanced up at her with a pair of bored looking eyes before looking back down at his phone again.

Ugh, this brat.

“Excuse me but you’re holding up the--”

“Jungkookie!! Is that you!? We haven’t seen each other since middle school! Wow you’re so tall now!! How are you?! Which class are you in!” A hyper 2nd year student that goes by the name of Kim Taehyung suddenly appeared out of nowhere, yelling with a little too much entushiasm as he pushed Jungkook on the back as a means to surprise the younger boy.

Apparently Taehyung had caught Jungkook by surprise because the next thing you know, the brunette accidentally dropped his phone and was stumbling forward towards the welcoming committee table where Jennie was standing at..

He thought he was going to crash into the table but thankfully his quick reflexes kicked in and he put his right hand out just in time to grab something to support him from falling.

“J-J-Jung-Jungk-kook...” He suddenly heard his senior, Taehyung stammered nervously from behind him, making the younger boy turned his head to look at him with a questioning look.

The senior looked extremely pale for some reason. In fact, everyone within the area, including the other members of the welcoming comittee, had frozen in place and were all now looking at him with a very horrid and mortified look on their faces.

Huh, what’s wrong with all of them? Is there something on my face?

“J-Jungkookie....” Taehyung stuttered as he raised a finger to point at his hand. “Y-you’re hand...it’s-it’s...Ma-manager-K-Kim...”

Jungkook then turned his attention upfront to where the senior was pointing at and that’s when he realized...

Oh...

No wonder everyone is looking at me strangely...

He found himself staring at a pair of hooded cold brown feline like eyes that were looking straight into his soul with a deadpan expression. There was no emotion in those orbs at all; no agitation, no shock, no disgust heck not even a slightest bit of anger. They were just blank - just like a gaze of an old woman who was done with everything. While everyone else watching was flustered and shocked, this girl was perfectly composed despite being the one in the situation.

After what seems like forever, he finally spoke the first thing that came to mind.

".....Small"

Everyone gasps thinking that the girl was going to flipped out but instead, in the most calmest tone ever she replied back while still looking unfazed,

“Excuse me, can you let go of my chest and hurry up? You’re holding up the line."

Hello, this is sugaandtea, if you are an old reader of this story, please do read this important note but if you are a new reader, you can skip this.

I would like to inform that I have decided to rewrite part of the story, so you may notice a little changes here and there up until chapter 8. I didn't change anything major except for the addition of two new characters into the story such as Yeo Jingoo and Cha Eunwoo who will be replacing my OCs Darren and Jihoon. I made Darren and Jihoon up because I wanted Jungkook to have friends in the same year as he was and I needed two first years to be in the basketball club as well. But ever since I found out that Yeo Jingoo (A quiet well known young K-drama actor that you may know from dramas such as Moon Embracing The Moonlight) and Cha Eunwoo (Member of ASTRO and an uprising K-actor) were good friends of Jungkook, I decided why not just include them in the story since I already have the other 97 liners (Bambam, Yugyeom, Mingyu etc etc) in it. That's all I wanted to clarify to be honest, nothing serious. :D
