Break Up

Our Sanctuary

As Hoseok left, Taehyung sank back onto the bed, his face in his hands. How had he ed up so hard? And to top it off, now Jimin was hurt by his actions too. Whining softly, he flopped back on the back, his face still covered. Hatred well up inside of him, not for Hoseok and certainly not for Jimin, but toward himself. Jimin was his everything and he had just made him feel like he didn’t want him. And Hoseok… Taehyung would have preferred if his now ex boyfriend had gotten angry, screamed and yelled, called him names, because his kindness in the situation stung. Taehyung didn’t deserve that after breaking what they had.

“Are you okay?” The mattress sank beside him as Jimin lowered himself down to the bed. A comforting hand held his gently as the other man gave him some space while still letting him know that he was still there for him.

“I’m sorry…” Lowering the arm from over his eyes, Taehyung looked over at Jimin, fighting another urge to cry at the smiling face looking back at him. “I just…”

“Don’t apologize. Tae, I get it.” Jimin scooted closer, planting a kiss on Taehyung’s cheek. “Years of a relations are hard to throw away, even if your relationship was absolute hell, or if you love someone else, you don’t want to see something that was such a big part of your life end. I don’t blame you. I know it doesn’t mean you love me less. And I don’t blame you for how you reacted.”

“You’re too good for me.” Biting his lip, Taehyung felt at least a little more calm at Jimin’s words. If he still loved him then it wasn’t so bad. Actually, it was perfect. It letting everything he had built with Hoseok crumble apart but if he was with Jimin then he was where he wanted to be.

“We both know I’m perfect for you.” Grinning, Jimin moved to loom over him, leaning down and kissing him hard. “Once you’re okay enough to be left alone, I’ll go break it off with Jungkook. Then we’ll be together for real.”

“MinMin, I want to go with you. You were here with me for Hoseok. I want to be there for you.” Wrapping his arms around Jimin’s neck, he returned the kiss passionately, any traces of tears chased away by the other’s touch. “I just want to be with you. Forever.”

“Lets go then. I don’t want to waste another second.” Standing, Jimin helped him to his feet. “I don’t want a moment longer to go by where you aren’t all mine. Not more than needed at least.” Taehyung got up with him, holding his hand tightly. Nervous, he knew they needed to finish facing what they’d done to move forward. Something told him that Jungkook wasn’t going to be as accepting of their affair as Hoseok had been.

Jimin drove them in silence, the only sound being the radio softly playing at low volume. It was weird traveling in such a quiet atmosphere. Hoseok was the most talkative person he had ever met and their waking moments together were usually filled with chatter or random noises and giggles. Not that Taehyung had hated that. Hoseok was fun, he filled him with joy, but… Something about the quiet moments with Jimin felt gentle and comforting.

All too soon their journey ended in the parking lot outside Jungkook’s apartment.Fear welled up inside of him as he left the car with Jimin, hugging himself to keep from shaking. Seeming to notice the change in mood, Jimin approached him, wrapping his arms around him tightly.

“I’ve got you. It’ll be okay.” Giving him a reassuring peck on the lips, Jimin led Taehyung into the building and soon they were in Jungkook’s entryway, the man watching them in confusion.

“Jiminnie, what’s going on?” Raising an eyebrow at Jimin, Jungkook ignored the fact that Taehyung was even there. “You left a note saying we needed to talk and just vanished.”

“Kook…” Pausing, Jimin seemed to be trying to find the right words to let Jungkook down softly. “Look… Baby. I…” Taking a deep breath, he closed his eyes. “We need to break up.” Jungkook froze and Taehyung could feel his heart skip a beat at the sudden stillness in his friend.

“What?! Why are you doing this with him here?!” Gripping his hands into fists, Jungkook took an aggressive step toward them, body shaking with rage. Stepping closer to Jimin, Taehyung gripped his arm tight, suddenly afraid of what might happen in this confrontation.

He’s got every right to be here for this.” Jimin replied, voice only a little shakier than usual as he tried to keep himself between Taehyung and Jungkook. “Taehyung and I have been sleeping together. We’re… We’re in love, Jungkook.” A certain cold blankness fell over Jungkook and watched them for a long moment, probably trying to comprehend what he was just told.

“You WHAT?!” With a shriek of anger, he pulled Taehyung away from Jimin and before Taehyung could react he felt a fist collide with the right side of his face. Staggering slightly from the force of the hit, Taehyung would have collapsed to the floor had Jungkook not been gripping his shirt.

“HEY! Don’t ing touch him!” Shoving Jungkook hard, Jimin managed to free Taehyung from the grip and rescue him from further harm. The two men got in each others faces, both coming close to exchanging blows themselves.

“Jimin wait. Baby, don’t. Let’s just go.” Grabbing Jimin’s hand gently, he tugged his hand, begging him to stop. “Please.”

“If I ever see either of you again I’ll break your damn faces!” Screaming, Jungkook stomped toward then as Taehyung pull his new boyfriend toward the door but Jimin wasn’t budging.

“Look. I’m sorry, but if you ever lay a hand on Taehyung again you’ll have a world of hell to deal with.” Shaking his head, Jimin gave Jungkook a look so sad that it hurt Taehyung to see. It hurt to know he was the cause of all of this.

“Lets just go.” Close to tears, Taehyung finally reached the hallway with Jimin in tow. After the apartment door slammed behind them, he let out a soft whimper. Seeing the trail of rage and heartbreak they had left in their wake made him wonder for a moment if their love was even worth it but once they were alone in Jimin’s car, embracing each other, that doubt faded away. He loved Jimin more than anything. A punch to the face and some tears wasn’t going to change that.

“I’m so sorry, Tae. Are you okay?” Jimin’s hands brushed across Taehyung’s soft skin as he inspected the place Jungkook had struck. It was growing purple and blue right under his eye. “. You have a bruise.” This was all his fault. He knew he shouldn’t have brought Taehyung there to confront Jungkook, knew it wouldn’t end well, and now the love of his life was injured and it was all his fault.

“It’s fine. I deserved it.” Taehyung winced as he touched the mark lightly, feeling the raised flesh around the bruise. “I would have done that too.”

“ him. You didn’t deserve that.” Growling, Jimin started his car and pulled out onto the street. He was livid that Jungkook would his Taehyung. If he had wanted to strike anyone he should have struck him instead.

“I’ve been ing his boyfriend…” Sighing, Taehyung leaned into the back of the seat, clearly exhausted. Reaching over, Jimin rubbed the other man’s thigh lovingly. The last thing he wanted was for Taehyung to feel like he had done anything wrong because he hadn’t. Jimin had always been the one leading them down that path, he had been the one that started their affair, the one that couldn’t bring himself to stop it. His love for Taehyung was like an addiction he never wanted to quit.

“Not his boyfriend anymore. I’m your boyfriend now.” Squeezing his thigh reassuringly, Jimin continued to drive them back to Taehyung’s apartment. “If you’ll have me.”

“I’ll have you forever, Jimin.” A soft hand was placed on his own, Taehyung showing Jimin his appreciation for his company. A soft growl filled the car and he chuckled, shaking his head. Even in their emotional states, Taehyung was hungry.

“Lets go get some ice on your cheek and feed you.” With a grin, Jimin reached Taehyung’s apartment and parked, leaning over to kiss him deeply.

“You don’t have to.” Whispering against Jimin’s lips, Taehyung was finally beginning to sound calm and relaxed again now that they were alone without the drama of breakups looming over them. Smiling, he pulled his new boyfriend to his chest, rocking him back and forth on their feet.

“Yeah but I want to.” Giving him another kiss, Jimin held his hand firmly in his own and led him back up to the apartment. After ensuring that Taehyung’s bruise was taken care of he was going to order some breakfast and some coffee and make sure that his lover forget all the bad parts the day had offered.

“Thank you, Jiminnie.” Snuggling against them as him as they walked, Taehyung seemed almost back to his usual cheerful, funny self. Though Jimin could take him at his worst, was willing to support him through any emotion, he’d rather the other man never have to feel negativity in his heart. He was too pure, too perfect to go through any of that.

“No, Baby. Thank you.” Kissing Taehyung passionately as they entered the apartment, Jimin rubbed his uninjured cheek for just a moment before he retreated to the kitchen to get ice. “You make me so happy.”

“You… You make me happy too.” Taehyung followed him to the kitchen, wrapping his arms around Jimin’s neck as they shared another heated kiss. As much as he would miss what he had with Jungkook, Taehyung was literally his world. Never would he regret what he had to give away to reach this point because Taehyung chose him and he was going to do his best to never lose him.

Jungkook was so angry and I was mad he hit tae, because I felt, even with everything and even tho I could understand kook's anger, to hit tae.... ah, maybe a bit too far, he hurt him and that wasn't cool TT TT i'm glad vmin have each other now though and can be open about that, hopefully they can make a fresh start >.<
