"is he okay?" 

 

kyungsoo nods and lays back on his bed, setting his phone beside him. "he says he is."

 

he hears the crunch of minseok taking a bite of his apple. "i can't believe something like that happened to him." 

 

to that, kyungsoo acknowledges it with a hum, but utters not a word. he closes his eyes, breathing slowly.

 

"not to be that , but i kinda feel bad for you." 

 

kyungsoo opens his eyes. "why?" 

 

"i know you don't like being pitied but i can't help it, i guess. like... how do i say it without making you think about it too much?" 

 

kyungsoo snorts, sitting up. "it's fine, really. don't sugarcoat it."

 

minseok puts an arm around kyungsoo, pulling him closer. "just- to think of the time zone gap, and wanting to be physically there for him. it's hard for me to imagine and makes me feel bad for you?" 

 

"yeah, well. a part of me is kind of used to it after two years of being friends." kyungsoo allows his head to fall on minseok's shoulder. he sighs. "i want to be there so badly." 

 

minseok pets kyungsoo's hair. "i know." 

 

to kyungsoo's surprise, his eyes sting. he wouldn't usually cry like this - but he guesses everything is just getting to him now. it's overwhelming. the tears fall silently.
