Chapter Seven

Tied Together

NAYEON:

Soon her eyes burned as the tears slowly stpped falling, still unaware that there was someone craddling her, that was until she heard them talk. "Look, I'm so sorry if wha I said offended you in any sort of way. I spoke out of line and I shouldn't of said what I said considering you've only ust moved in I do't want you to hate me." Nayeon heard Mina apologise and she couldn't help but be moved by the sincerity in which her tone was laced in.

Realising their position Nayeon felt her heart flutter as she quickly shot upand out of the warm and safe place, that was the hug. Mina looked offended but quickly replaced it with a small smile, so fast that Nayeon thought she was just imagining tat she even pulled that expression. "It's fine, it happened a while ago." Nayeon said as she tried to convince Mina to which she seemed convinced since she didn't push further.

They were the only two home and she couldn't help but feel the awkward tension start to rise once they both were standing face to face. She felt Mina's gaze on her and she to a chance and met the intense stare, instantly feeling her heart beat a little faster. The speed only increasing once she saw Mina's gaze drop down to her lips but she felt pain once she saw her turn away and leave. Meaning she, yet again, missed the sad look in Nayeon's eyes as she left for a second time.

(EVERYONE IS NOW HOME - TIME SKIP)

As all the roommates piled into their living room, they all sat watching the tv screen. An old movie was playing on one of the channels but Nayeon couldn't help but find herself uninterested in anything the movie had to offer. Mainly since she was watching Mina instead and was confused as to why she had such a deep frown set on her face. She tried to follow her gaze and found she was staring at Chaeyoung. Her heart stung a little as she realised it and she couldn't understand why. Was Caheyoung better than her?, Nayeon found herself asking.

Yet it was only when she saw where Mina's eyes were actually looking that her hurt was replaced by immense confusion. Why was she staring at Chaeyoung's hand?

However soon, Mina looked away and looked at her own hand, not realising that Nayeons eyes were following her own. Her heart hurt when she saw Mina's frown deeepen and confusion seemed to set in her brow. However, once her eyes focused on Mina's hand, she couldn't help but let panic set in, it was her. And now Nayeon couldn't help but feel the guilt rise in her, she caused the frown on her face, though she didn't know she knew what she did, and now it suddenly all made sense to Nayeon. So this is why she was sad when she saw my hand this morning, because something seemed off?

Nayeon was sure that she despised her past self now, why did she have to hide herself from her soulmate? She mentally scolded herself, Why didn't I think before I did the one way action? She looked away as she couldn't take the guilt filling her up, but there was still a bit of happiness since she knew now that Mina and her were meant to be.
