MINA:

Mina felt her heat jump once she shook hands with Nayeon, the warm feeling filled her ntire body within seconds. She ried to think back to when she has felt like this but she couldn't rememer. She thought hard and couldn't recall a single time she had felt this in anyway, her mind silently agreeing with the descriptions Chaeyoung gave her. Yet she knew deep down it was too good to be true, when her eyes landed on Nayeon's hand she saw the string, and she saw how it was tied to Nayeon but not to her. 

However, though Mina couldn't tell what it was she knew something felt almost fake or forced about the string. She almost went to ask someone else if they saw it too, but she new what their answer would be, she knew that she would lose everything if she told them. Or anyone for that matter, and with that Mina's progress in accepting the fact that she'd be forever alone moved forward, a little.

(THE NEXT DAY)

As she walked into the hallway she heard hushed voices in the kitchen, "But what if someone wakes up?" she heard a voice asked in a worried tone. "Don't worry, we won't get caught..." She heard the other trail off and a slight moan followed. Mina's mind tried to think of who these two are but she couldn't distinguish between either voice. Though she could feel the curiosity build up in her she knew that if she tried to see who it was, she'd be invading their most private moment. So once she turned back around to enter her rom, she realised that Sana wasn't in her bed, meaning that one of the people would have to be Sana. Mina couldn't help but try to think back to who Sana's soulmate is, her headached by how hard she was trying to remember but once she finally figured it out she saw something that made her feel sympathy.

Sana's soulmate was none other than Dahyun but before she could even conclude that they realised that they were soulmates, she saw that the maknae line's room door was wide open and there was Dahyun, in a seemingly uncomfortable position, sleeping. So Sana was with someone else from that room. Meaning that her and Tzuyu were together or at least they are most likely together. 

This sudden discovery made Mina want to shout out that this isn't how it was a meant to play out, that the two of them were a meant to be with someone different, they weren't supposed to be together. Mina wanting t check if she was correct turned around, coughed loudly and made her way to the kitchen. Not missing the sad sight of each of their strings losing colour and becoming just a bit looser. She heard shuffling and was relieved to see that they heard her warning, both wearing a flustered look that Mina ignored to the best of her ability. 

"What are you both doing up this early?" She asked in a false tone of confusion, she knew they wanted the privacy, she heard them stutter out a response, "uh...well. y-y-you know, had a bit of troble sleeeping..?" Tzuyu seemed to ask Mina but she decidded to ignore and just nod. "What about you?" Mina heard them ask in unison and she cold feel the awkward silence envelope her after she quickly said, "Work." and with that she left the rrom. But not without taking an apple. 

As she made her way back into her room, she coldn't help but glance at Nayeon as she slept peacefully, however something caught her eye. The string on her finger was moving, almost as if it was trying to avoid someone. Now Mina, though she had limited knowledge on all of this she knew one thing, that wasn't normal. But as she went closer to Nayeon to maybe possibly investigate, the string flew back, away from Mina. She just stared at it in such confusion with open, it was avoiding her? She quickly questioned but soon got her answer when she saw it went further away the closer she got. 

Mina couldn't help but start to believe that this is the gift telling her she can't have a soulmate, and no other time has Mina felt so deflated and with that she went to get in the shower, the deep frown never leaving her face.
