"I told you not to run."

"On the contrary, you texted me not to run. Those are two very different things, Jungkook."

After Taehyung gracefully tripped over his own two feet and almost gave Jungkook a heart attack, the younger insisted on carrying him home (after they ate their ice cream, of course), even though Taehyung repeatedly told him that he was perfectly capable of walking on his own. 

Jungkook only had to say his name in a voice an octave lower than his normal one for Taehyung to mount the man, almost pop a when he took in how ing good he smelt, and let him carry him home.

"Do you even know where I live?" Taehyung asks, his cheek pressed firmly against the back of Jungkook's head, while he lazily played with strands of Jungkook's hair.

"I do, actually," he answers, stopping momentarily to wait for the stoplight. "I, along with everyone else, helped Jimin when he moved out of the dorms."

The sign blinked a few seconds later, making the Jungkook Express begin moving again.

"He was very bossy when it came to where everything was placed, and even after all that free labor he forced out of us, excluding Jin hyung who made us snacks instead, he still managed to spend more time at Yoongi hyung's place than there."

Taehyung chuckles softly. 

"Sounds like my Jiminie."

Jungkook notices how drawled out his words are and how his fingers had slowed in movement. 

"Hyung?"

Taehyung just hums. His fingers have long since abandoned the mop of silky brown locks and are now loosely hanging around Jungkook's neck.

By now, Jungkook already knows that Taehyung is asleep, if the steady breathing and lack of response is anything to go by.

The bunny man can only smile to himself as he gently hikes the sleeping beauty (he's never seen a sleeping Taehyung before, but he just knows that he's as beautiful as he is when he's awake) a little further up, so that he's sure that he won't fall, though Jungkook tells himself that he'd probably let himself be in the same room as an operating microwave before he ever lets Taehyung fall and get hurt.

When they finally got to Jimin and Taehyung's apartment complex, Jungkook had come to three realizations: 

One, he's so glad he decided to start working out after he was picked on countless times in high school.

Two, Taehyung is most definitely a cuddler. (Jungkook swears he almost choked a few times from how tightly the elder was hugging him.)

And three, he'd piggyback Taehyung for the rest of his life if he asked, because that's how whipped he is already. Whipped and proud.

Bonus: Jimin is an overprotective parent, who didn't hesitate to rip Jungkook a new one when he found out the reason for their intimate travel arrangement. 

Bonus bonus: Yoongi, unsurprisingly, spends just as much time at Jimin's place as Jimin does at Yoongi's.

"You see, I'd ask you to stay, but we're having a family dinner."

Jungkook only manages a scoff before he's being shoved out of the vicinity and getting a door slammed in his face. He's about to yell some kind of profanity at Jimin, but he stops when Taehyung opens the door, a sheepish smile overtaking his slightly puffy face.

"Thanks for the ice cream and for taking me home."

Jungkook's scowl is replaced by a smile. 

"You're always welcome, hyung."

Taehyung's smile only seems to shine even brighter at that, and the next thing he knows, Taehyung is lunging forward to pull him into a bear hug. 

Now the two are embracing in the hall, enjoying each other's warm, neither of them wanting to be the first to let go.

It isn't until Jungkook sees a stern-faced Jimin in the doorway that he rolls his eyes, reluctantly lets go of Taehyung, and is leaving with the promise to text the other later.

Yeah, later could've meant when Jimin, Taehyung, and Yoongi were having dinner together, but since Taehyung was officially meeting Yoongi, Jimin's boyfriend, for the first time, he figured his bun could wait until later.

Even when Jungkook started sending memes an hour later, Taehyung restrained himself, in order to properly get to know Min Yoongi, who currently held a share of Jimin's heart. He'd be damned if he ever let an unworthy man stroll into Jimin's life, and it was his mission to make sure he'd treat his bestie like the king he is.

To be honest though, he was already begging Jimin to marry Yoongi when he found out that he had taken it upon himself to cook up Taehyung's favorite dishes.

"If you don't marry him, I will," Taehyung said through a mouth full of Japchae.

"Yeah, yeah. You don't have to tell me twice," Jimin muttered, wiping off a stray noodle from the younger's cheek. "So, stay in your lane and focus on inhaling all this delicious food that my man made."

Yoongi could only watch the two interact with rosy cheeks and a ghost of a smile on his lips.

To summarize the rest of the evening, Yoongi was happily accepted into the family with open arms, literally and figuratively. 

The trio even managed to unconsciously fall into a family dynamic.
