Humming to “DNA” that blasted loud in my earphone, I stood outside the concert venue looking out to Army crowd who was waiting with full excitement even under the bright sun. It was hot day in Chile but they didn’t seem bothered with it. They were talking in groups, chatting with each other, singing songs together, some of them even chants along, while some others were covering dances routines or just sitting or standing there enjoying the moment.

 Smiling to myself, I couldn’t help but thinking, that just a few months ago, I was just an ordinary girl who could probably end up like those Army but my fate wasn’t written that way. I supposed. I am still an ordinary girl, but I wasn’t the same girl after the main vocalist of the band declared me as his girlfriend.

“Na Yoonhee?”

I startled a bit when someone called my name but I turned to her regardless. “Yes?”

“I’m sorry for the trouble, let me walk you backstage,”

A female staff bow to me and I bowed back.

“That’s okay,” I said with a smile.

Taking of my sunglasses, I followed the female staff walking through the maze of the venue’s backstage. Passing through the chaotic situations behind the big stage made me feel a bit uneasy. Even though I’m Jeon Jungkook’s girlfriend, I never asked nor expected a privilige to be there. Since I know people would be so busy and the band themselves need time to prepare and make sure everything was perfect for their performance. I just didn’t want to be a nuisance for anyone. Sitting among the audience watching him perform with the rest of the members would be more than enough for me. But there I was, sitting anxiously waiting alone for Jungkook in empty room to meet me before he went up to the stage.

Trying to distract myself, I went through my phone’s gallery. There was not much picture of the both of us on the same frame but I was happy enough from the fact that Jungkook took a good amount of our random moments. Such like when I was in their apartment preparing the cake for Yoongi’s birthday surprise. I was supposed to give the cake up to Hoseok when I tripped myself and fell down. I was trying to save the cake but apparently I failed then I was on the floor with half of the cake covering my right cheek. Instead of helping me up, Jungkook who was on his phone took a picture of me. Looking at it now, the picture was kinda cute actually.

“Yoonhee,”

I recognized the voice and turned to the owner of it immediately.

“Hei,”

I was about to walk my way to him but Jungkook was literally ran up to me and hug me real tight.

I couldn’t help but smile.

“Why? Miss me already?”

I would never receive an answer of that, because I already knew what it was.

Holding me in his embrace tighter, he breathed slow.

At times like this, no words were needed between us and I just knew that he needed my support.

“It’s okay. You’d do good up there. Don’t worry.” I said, patting his back, soothing his worry down.

He let go of his hug and I looked at him. We were standing close to each other, he looked down but I could see his facial features clearly. His brown bangs that covered his eyebrows, even the scar on his left cheek.

“Are you doing alright, Jungkook?” I finally asked since I had the feeling that something was off.

He brought his chin up and gave me a light smile, “I am,”

There was a soft knock on the door and I know that our 3 minutes were over. With that, I hugged him one more time.

“Good luck. Be waiting for you here,”

He kissed the side of my head then hold me by the wrist, taking me out of the room to wish the other members good luck.
