Author’s POV

Jisoo the prettiest third wheel. That’s what she’s naming herself right now while they wait for Mina to arrive. Chaeyoung has invited her to join them or rather help her get through this ‘date’.

She couldn’t say no as well coz she had nothing else to do. Jennie went on an outing with her parents, so might as well help her friend get laid.

The said friend sat across the table clearly anxious

“You need to relax Chae. You don’t wanna die before Mina gets here” Jisoo said hoping to calm her down

“I don’t know calm right now” said Chae in a shaky voice

“Just breathe my friend. Inhale exhale”

Chae did as told and it soon became like a relaxation class. They didn’t even notice Mina arrived til they heard a camera shutter.

The both of them look to where Mina was standing. Chae immediately stood up to greet her and coz of that she hit her knee on the table. Mina laughed at her and Jisoo just face palmed herself.

“Are you okay?” Mina asked after having a good laugh

Chae smiled and nodded trying to hide the pain she feels on her knee. She invited Mina to sit next to her preparing her soul if she says no and sit with Jisoo instead, but to her surprise the taller girl obliged to her invitation.

The three of them ordered food and chatted. Jisoo suddenly had a bright idea, she pretended to have gotten a call from Jennie and excused herself to leave the two alone.

They were silent for a moment but Mina let out a big sigh

“The fo--”

“Thank ---”

Both of them decided to speak at the same time cutting each other off

“You go first” Chae offered

Mina shook her head “It was nothing important. Go ahead”

“Well uhm I was just gonna say thank you for going out with me today” Chae said while looking at her drink

Chae had shivers go down her spine the good kind when Mina touched her hand. She looked at the girl and she felt like jelly, like her soul left her body. Mina flashed her smile, that beautiful smile.

“Your hands are really cold” Mina said still maintaining eye contact

Chae couldn’t even speak she just looked at her hand and back to Mina while smiling awkwardly. Mina let out a small giggle

“Oh they’re warm now” Mina said still talking about Chae’s hand

“You warm me up” Chae said without thinking
