Author’s POV

Lisa felt like her ceiling is going to melt anytime soon she’s been staring at it for weeks now. She hasn’t come out of her room after what happened at school. She turned off her phone as well coz she’s being bombarded with texts and calls from her friends.

Lisa just decided to doze off again but before she could she heard a knock on her door

“Miss Lisa? Miss Mina wants you to come down she has prepared something for you” said her maid

She didn’t say a word so her maid left. Lisa remembered what she did to Mina and what the girl said to her, she got up and shook her head to get rid of her thoughts but it was replaced with guilt.

Lisa’s stomach growled bringing her back in the real world, she slowly opened her bedroom door and as soon as she did that the smell of food flooded her senses. She went down to the kitchen cautiously she just wants to get some food without drawing attention to herself.

Lisa found some toast, eggs and bacon placed in a tray, she walked towards it planning to eat it in her room. As she turned around she almost threw the food up in the air

“I knew you couldn’t resist” Mina said while smiling

Lisa put the tray back down “I –I’m going back to my room now”

Mina grabbed her wrist to stop her from leaving

“You should at least eat a little bit” Mina offered

Lisa withdrew her hand but slowly this time and she looked at Mina who was looking at her too. Lisa looked away and agreed to eat she was hungry anyway.

Lisa ate her meal with her head down, Mina was sitting across the table the silence is deafening

“Thank you for the food” Lisa said after finishing her meal

Mina just smiled at Lisa and reached for her plate to wash it, silence was with them again. Lisa looked at Mina whose back was turned the more she stared the more guilt she felt. She heard everything Mina had to say the night she decided to be an to her childhood friend.

She felt sorry that she couldn’t reciprocate the love Mina is giving her, she only her as a friend a very dear friend and nothing more. While thinking about all these she didn’t realize that she’s now standing behind the girl.

She hugged Mina which made the girl stop what she was doing. Lisa rested  her forehead on the shorter girls head.

“I’m sorry Minari” said Lisa almost crying

Mina smiled and turned to face Lisa

“It’s okay. We’re okay” Mina said while placing her hand on Lisa’s face
