Chapter 2
The ReasonAfter the day finally ended, Hakyeon was overwhelmed with exhaustion. When he stepped back into the dormitory, he was - as usual, greeted by the silence. Well, it makes sense, seeing that it's wee hours in the morning, 3am to be exact. But he knew better. Not like it made a difference about what time he ended his day, it doesn't change the fact that he's always alone. He slowly made his way to his bedroom, closing the door quietly behind him and making his way to the bathroom. He looked at his own reflection in his mirror, the dark eye bags he had and pale, cracked lips. It's been a long time since he actually smiled. He was scared, scared that he didn't know what it feels like to be happy anymore. He had never felt more empty in his life.
Sighing, he tried to put away those negative thoughts and took a shower. It was already 4am in the morning. He had to be awake in 2 hours to practice with the others. Although he was beyond exhausted, he couldn't help but reach for the bottle of sleeping pills in his cabinet. He knew that he would not be able to fall asleep without those pills these days and he desperately needed to at least get some rest - even for 2 hours to get moving.
When his alarm rang in the morning, he was greeted by the hustle and bustle of the others, rushing to get ready for the day. He groggily made his way to the living room - he was so exhausted. He wanted to grab a bite of food since it has been days since he even had a proper meal but to his dismay, he realised that there was no food left in the refrigerator. He looked around at the others. He missed those days, before everything fell apart, where Taekwoon would always make sure that he had something to eat despite his busy schedules. But, who was he kidding? He was the one who caused things to become this way. Hell, he wasn't even sure if he even had the right to eat.
