“thanks for the ride, and for dinner. also anything else i guess.” she said before she grabbed the handle to open the door.

she felt his hand come to the back of her neck causing her to turn back around and stare at him.

“what are you-“

“this is pay back for last time.”

and just like that, in the blink of an eye, their lips met again.

his lips were soft, hers were sticky from her lip gloss.

she pushed him away wiping with the back of her hand.

she threw his arm off of her and rummaged to gather her stuff.

she was more than angry.

he bought her a piece of bland steak and thought she owed him something like that? 

she turned around and saw he was still sitting in his car.

his hands slammed down on the steering wheel.

he looked angry himself.

she huffed and turned to walk towards the office.

when she reached the main entrance she saw her boss walking out.

“Mr. Min!”

she ran up to him.

“secretary park, what brings you back to the office?”

“about earlier...”

“you’re dating my friend?”

“oh no! not at all! it must have seemed that way but...”

“jimin!” jungkook was waving at her.

“jungkook!” she grinned and waved back.

“oh, is he your boyfriend then?”

“huh? oh uh-“

“you ready to go home? should i make ramen or do you want to eat somewhere else?”

“jungkook actually-“

“you should take better care of your girlfriend. seems a lot of people in the office are after her now that shes single. including me.” mr.min stated.

jimin’s eyes were as wide as plates at the sudden ending.

“it’s a joke.” he said with a flat face.

“i have a boyfriend.” he added.

“anyway, goodnight.”

“g-goodnight sir.” jimin bowed quickly.

she watched as her boss scurried away.

“did he just out himself?” jungkook asked softly.

“no...i knew he was seeing someone...that’s why i was so confused...i know things naturally since i’m his personal assistant. he has both female and male partners but he’s never settled..”

“maybe he found someone he actually likes.”

“then that’s good.” jimin grinned.

“does he think we’re dating?”

“probably.” she nodded.

“let’s go then, girlfriend.” he said offering his arm to her.

“someone’s in a good mood today.” she said as she linked arms with him.

“hmm..i guess you could say that.” he nodded.

taehyung started his car with a sigh. 

he thought jimin liked him.

he was doing everything right.

why did she push him away like that?

he shook his head as he turned right on the traffic light.

he noticed a familiar car.

no...it could be anyone.

he barely got a glimpse of him because he was driving past him, but it was him!

when jimin and jungkook got home they were greeted by a young woman.

she reeked of alcohol.

“hiiiiii.” she waved.

“hello...” they said as they made their way inside the house.

“hyung who is this?” jungkook asked.

“my friend, she just got dumped, don’t pay her too much attention.”

“what the hell is this? the lonely hearts club?” jungkook joked.

“it might as well be at this point huh?” jin retorted.

“my name is hani by the way.” she said sticking out her hand to jimin.

“hello, i’m jimin.”

“ooh? a girl jimin? or are you a girl now?”

jimin tilted her head in confusion.

“hani, jimin didn’t get a change, you’re confusing my friends.” jin sighed.

“hmm...both are very cute.” she grinned as she wrapped her arms around jimin.

jimin was flustered by the sudden closeness.

“yah! stop harassing my child!” jin yelled before walking over to pry hani from jimin.

“jungkook help me get this alcoholic to bed.”

“okay.” 

jimin watched as the two men struggled to keep the girl from running back down towards her.

she chuckled at the sight.

everything was always so lively in this house.

the next morning jimin went to knock on jungkook’s door only for it to open itself.

she peeked in to see jungkook’s leg hanging off his bed and he was fast asleep.

she grinned and snapped a quick picture, just for safe keeping, or possible blackmail.

she slowly made her way to his bed before jumping on him.

he didn’t even budge.

jin had told her to wake jungkook up for him since he had to get hani to work and couldn’t give jimin a ride.

“jimin! i’ll see you tonight, make sure jungkook gets up on time!” jin yelled before the slam of the front door echoed around the house.

jimin rolled off jungkook and off the bed too.

she huffed before trying to turn him over.

it took her a few times but she finally got him on his back.

she chuckled evilly as she made her way to the curtains.

she threw them open only to see the neighbors...handling business a few feet over.

jimin let out a surprised scream causing jungkook to sit up in alertness mode.

he blinked twice before getting up and making his way to jimin.

he found her covering her eyes in front of the window. jungkook looked over and chuckled.

“a little morning action scare you?” he teased.

“what the? you’re up?” she did a double take, looking at the bed then back at jungkook.

“who wouldn’t wake up when you’re screaming like that, i feel like my ancestors are rising from their graves as we speak.”

jimin glared at him before she turned around to close the curtains.

“aww...shows over?” he grinned teasingly.

“yah...” she was blushing.

jungkook pinched her cheek playfully before turning around and walking towards his bed.

jimin watched him lay down slowly.

she crossed her arms over her chest.

“aren’t you gonna get ready for work?”

“i think a late start is calling my name.” 

he yawned and stretched before patting a small space on his bed.

“you can sit if you want.”

“i don’t. i need to go to work and you’re my ride.”

“what? what about jin hyung?”

“don’t you remember hani from last night? he had to take her to work so you’re my ride.”

“and you guys didnt think about my feelings on the matter?”

“of course...not. we’re roommates we’re supposed to do favors for each other!” 

“roommates my foot.”

“hey...” she frowned.

jungkook watched her pout and couldn’t help the sudden happiness he felt by seeing her cute reactions.

“maybe if you say please.”

“....what? no. let’s just go to work, hm?” she reached out for his wrist.

“say please.”

“c’mon jungkook.” she pulled on his hand.

“say please.”

“jungkooook.” she whined.

jungkook stood up, towering over her.

jimin gulped as she looked up at him, they were incredibly close.

there was barely an inch between them.

“do you really want to go to work?” he asked.

jimin almost felt herself get lost in his..large...beady eyes..

she needed to get to work!

jimin sat at her desk, her head resting on her palm.

she ended up having to catch the bus since she couldn’t swindle jungkook into bringing her to work.

she watched as her coworkers fussed over work and scratched their heads in annoyance.

she could feel their pain, really, she could.

fortunately for her, her years as regular staff had come to an end after getting promoted to secretary. 

though she had to be on mr. min’s every move, it was heaven compared to the amount of preparing and research she use to have to do.

she picked up her desk phone the second it rang.

“Theres a visitor.”

“I need a name and reason.”

“well-“

“it’s taehyungggg~” 

jimin heard the man’s voice sing from the other side of the phone.

she rolled her eyes.

“go away. unless you have business with mr. min, which i know you dont, you have to go.”

“what? you’re so mean to me honey.” 

“goodbye.”

she hung up.

at the reception desk taehyung realized he had to finesse his way in.

“oh? go up? alrighty. my wife said i can go up.” he grinned.

the receptionist tilted her head in confusion.

“aren’t you the ceo of kim world enterprises?”

“the elevator is this way right?” he asked walking towards the left side of the building.

“sir-“

“bye!” he waved.

once inside the elevator he straightened his tie.

“almost got caught.” he mumbled.

“taehyung?”

he looked over his shoulder to see jin standing right behind him.

“holy !” he screamed.

“what the hell are you doing here? don’t you have a meeting with the team today?”

“oh? um. yes?” taehyung was stumbling over his words.

“then...what are you doing here?”

“huh? i got lost!

“but you’re going up to yoongi’s office...”

“that-“

“i also heard that you’re messing with jimin.”

“me? what? no! wait... how did you know?”

“how am i not going to know? she lives with me.”

“but? i asked and you said-“

“i know what i said. jimin wanted me to keep that a secret. but seeing as you’re here at her work place when you yourself should be at WORK.”

taehyung flinched at the sudden rise of volume in jin’s voice.

he could swear during such scoldings he didn’t even know if he was the boss anymore.

“i just came to...visit my dad!”

“on yoongi’s floor?”

“well-“

“go back to work taehyung. if you bother jimin again i’ll rip your hair out.”

taehyung swallowed dryly.

jin wasn’t the type to threaten if he wasn’t going to do something.
