this is fine.

everything’s fine.

jimin sat at the bus stop repeating that to herself.

over and over again.

“it’s...all okay.” 

the tears in her eyes and the black make up stains running down her face, said otherwise.

it was raining though, that’s probably why her make up was all messed up like this.

yeah, just rain.

“You’re gonna get sick you know.” a soothing male voice said as the rain over jimin’s head suddenly stopped.

she looked up only to have the roof of an umbrella land square on her face.

she was suddenly fuming. 

She swung the umbrella off of herself.

“Ow!” a high pitched yell rang in her ears.

jimin gulped and looked up.

An angry woman glared at her.

“i-i’m sorry.” she said with haste before she ran like the wind.

“YAHHHHHHHHH!!!!”

the entire campus must’ve heard such a stomach churning scream. still, that didn't stop jamie from running like she did. 

nothing could stop her!

That is, until something did.

jamie fell to the ground with a thud.

she had to have run into a wall...she looked up to see a man staring at her.

she suddenly squinted her eyes.

it was like...this man was the sun...it physically hurt to look at him.

that’s when she should've ran away.

that cliché saying.

“get close to the sun and you’ll burn.”

it’s not her fault that the sun had such a stupidly perfect face, and smile, and personality, and...everything.

so, like the idiot she was, she gave him her entire heart because she just knew he was the one.

at least at the time she knew.

in the end, it was just her.

all alone.

again. 

she was going to start feeling sorry for herself again when her phone started ringing.

this was her life now.

she wasn’t in university anymore.

she had spent four stupid years with the stupid “love of her life.”

now, instead of crying her eyes out for the hundredth time today, she had to pick up this call, from her boss of all people.

Her eyes stared as her phone continued to ring.

She usually waited to pick up the phone at the last second but this time before she could do that, she felt a large wave of water douse her.

not like she wasn’t soaked already.

jamie gasped at the sudden pool of water that had now drenched her completely.

She stood up quickly, her face heating up more with each passing second.

She stomped her way to the car, that had caused such a wave, furious.

“YAH!”

She said slamming her hand flat on passenger’s window.

A dolled up woman, looked at her in disbelief.

“open the window you crazy !!!” she yelled.

The woman seemed to think jimin was some kind of animal or something, especially with the way she was looking at her.

“open up while i’m being nice!!!!”

She noticed the driver was wearing a face mask and sunglasses.

a celebrity maybe? 

whatever they were, they were gonna get a piece of her mind.

The driver started moving up closer to the car in front of them.

“ARE YOU RUNNING AWAY?!” jimin yelled.

at this point she was sure she looked more than crazy.

she didn’t have anything to lose now though. 

if she couldn’t beat her ex up, this ty couple was gonna have to do.

She placed her hands on the hood of the car and stared the couple down.

“I just want an apology!!” she screamed.

yeah...an apology...

not from them...

but from him.

“we should just get married when we graduate.”

“not right now jimin...”

“i’m really busy with work, maybe next time.”

“i’m not hungry.”

“i’m too tired.”

it all started like that...then it turned into...

“i have a business thing going on.”

“i’ll be home late.”

“i was too drunk.”

and then

“she’s my boss’ daughter!”

“it’s my job.”

“she came on to me!”

“it’s just her perfume.”

finally..

“i don’t want you anymore.”

jimin sat quietly in the temporary cell.

herself and the couple too.

the cell door suddenly opened and the girl wearing the fancy clothes got up crying.

“dad!!”

she turned around to glare at jimin.

jamie glared back making a threating face at her, scaring the girl.

it was just jimin and the masked now, also some people that were way too drunk to function.

“aren’t you gonna take that off?”

an officer asked the man.

he didn’t respond, just shook his head.

“i’m not in the mood to deal with this kind of behavior kid. take the mask off.”

he was defiant.

“hey...just take the mask off you’ll really get in trouble.” she tried.

truth was, she had a bit to drink earlier and was probably way out of line earlier...at least that was what she had come to realize now.

“who’s fault do you think it is im here you idiot.” he growled.

“i’m just trying to help.” she snapped.

“hey!” the officer yelled.

they shut their mouths quickly.

“jimin.” 

her ears perked up at the familiar voice.

she turned around almost excited, he actually came for her he actually...didn’t...come by himself.

“Ayeon?” the officer that had been talking to the two looked at the couple confused.

“uncle!” she smiled.

jimin felt her heart drop when she saw jaebum smiling and laughing with the girl and her uncle.

“Let her out uncle, he’s her guardian.”

if only she was ugly, if only she was evil, then could jamie hate her.

but she wasn’t. 

stupid girl.

so perfect...just like him.

jimin chuckled softly to herself as a bitter tear escaped her eye.

“Come on out young lady.” the officer started.

“He’s not my guardian.” jimin spoke, voice shaking.

“jimin...you drank too much. c’mon, let’s go home, hm?” 

had he not done enough?

had he not tore her heart into tiny pieces?

he he not stomped all over it?

jimin got up silently reaching the door of the cell.

She dug into her jean pocket and then reaching her hand out in front of jaebum’s face.

he stared at her hand, confused.

the girl next to him seemed to understand and opened her hand for jamie.

she tried not to scoff.

jimin’s freezing hand only grazed ayeon’s, finally handing her what she had safe in her pocket.

Ayeon was now staring at a ring with a small diamond it.

“thanks, but i’ll stay here.” she grinned silently, returning to her seat.

jaebum sighed.

“this is serious, you can’t stay here jimin.” he started.

jiminfelt her hands start balling into fists, digging her nails into her palm.

“i can, please leave.”

“yah!” jaebum scolded.

“WHAT?!” she growled.

“you...came here...with your new girlfriend, we barely broke up yesterday and you’ve been ing with her the past year! do you think i’m stupid jaebum?!” 

the entire police department went silent.

“hey, be civil will you?” 

“civil?! you-“

“is this the guy you were messing with?” a muffled voice suddenly spoke.

jimin turned around, confused.

“I said, is he the one you were messing with?” 

she was squinting now...the mask guy?

“you cheated on me with this guy?” the man sighed, finally removing his mask.

he was...beautiful?

“and to think we have a baby together...” the man sighed.

jimin’s eyes widened as she started to look back toward’s jaebum.

“what?” jaebum asked.

“it’s just...i went to work abroad for a while and me and my honey had a fight...didn’t we princess?” the man cupped jimin’s face in his large hand.

“We got married so young so it was hard for it to work out.”

jimin was starting to wonder if she had hit the guy too hard during the fight.

“Mr. Kim!” a man yelled.

“Ah! Lawyer Jeon! Look who we’ve got here! My pretty wife and i got in a fight, you’ll clear it all up right?” he grinned at the lawyer.

“y-yes sir.” he nodded.

“nice to see you again ma’am.” he bowed.

“right, well, can you get us out of here now? i’m claustrophobic.” 

“yes sir.”

the man grinned as he stepped out pulling jimin behind him.

“oh! also, don’t show up when my wife is in trouble anymore. you were a fun pass time for the last few years but i think she’s over it by now. thanks for bein’ so kind.” he winked as he gave jaebum’s shoulder a small pat.

as they were about to pass by jaebum grabbed jimin’s arm.

“jimin what the hell is he talking about?” he asked, confused

“I-“

a large hand gripped jaebum’s wrist.

“and please, don’t touch.” 

he finished as he threw jaebum’s hand off.

after what seemed like forever jimin was finally walking out of the police station.

She hadn’t noticed at the time of the fight, but one her heels had broken.

What a sight she must be.

“What a pitiful sight.” 

jimin stopped in her tracks and turned around to see the man, she’d learned was named taehyung, standing proudly three steps behind her.

“i’m sorry...and thank you.” she said, giving him a quick bow.

“i don’t think you’re really that sorry.” he started.

“i am...and to your girlfriend too.”

“yeah i’ll let her know...if she ever decides to talk to me again.” he sighed dramatically.

jimin frowned.

“i really am sorry... and thank you for..bailing me out.”

“and?”

“...and?”

“for saving your face in front of your ty ex?”

“...in my defense i didn’t really ask for all of that.”

“a thank you would suffice.”

“did the other two fly over your head?” she said, folding her arms

“are you being rude?” he asked raising an eyebrow.

jimin pursed her lips and thought for a second.

“sorry...it’s been a long day.”

“yeah? it’s gonna be longer if you’re walking home like that.” he said nodding to her shoes.

“yeah well, it’s what i have so.” she shrugged.

“here.”

he placed some sneakers in front of her.

they were obviously his, seeing how large the size difference was.

“you can have them.” he said with a small grin.

a taxi pulled up next to the two.

“since i feel bad for you i’m doing you this favor. maybe i’ll get good karma?” he said, tapping his chin.

jimin felt her eyes become all watery again and cursed herself internally.

“what? you can’t say thanks anymore? thank you machine broken?” he teased.

“thank you.” she sniffed.

“for everything.”

“Yeah.” he nodded.

“Get her home safe please.” he told the taxi driver.

“yes sir.” 

“live well, jimin.” he said with a small smile.

jimin didn't know if she was still a little buzzed..but he was so much more beautiful this close up.

She leaned out of the window slightly as if to say something, but found herself getting lost in his curious eyes.

before she knew it..

“Taehyu-“

the lawyer stood awkwardly as he watched the two kiss.

Suddenly coming to her senses. 

jimin pulls away.

“l-let’s go please.” she tells the taxi driver.

and just like that, she was gone.

“Is she...really your girlfriend?” 

“what do you think?”

“yes?”

“jungkook...do you even know my type?”

“you always say it’s none of my business.”

“bingo, anyway, find out what you can about her, i want my sneakers back.” taehyung started, throwing his arm over his friend’s shoulders

“i doubt it’s about sneakers.” jungkook mumbled.

“you’re right, its about thar kiss she just stole too. i’ll steal one back.” he grinned poking jungkook’s cheek

“gross.” jungkook said, scrunching his face up.

“just do what i asked.” taehyung pointed

“yeah, yeah.”
