Before, Jeongyeon was 101% she would never have feelings for a girl named Im Nayeon. They were opposite in everything and would argue everyday. But it’s not that they hate each other, it’s just that they don’t get along.

“I told you repeatedly, that’s not the right way to handle a knife.” Jeongyeon scolded

Nayeon rolled her eyes “Then, why don’t you do it instead? You know the proper way so you should be the one handling the knife.”

“Fine, fine. Let me handle that. You go and sit over there.” Jeongyeon stated as she got the knife and started to cut the ingredients

Nayeon obeyed her and sat down in one of the chairs to watch Jeongyeon. The taller girl probably felt the stare so she looked at Nayeon and caught the older girl staring. Jeongyeon thought that it might get awkward so she continued her work.

Yes, before Jeongyeon was 101% sure. But now, she realized…she likes Nayeon. She knows that Nayeon likes her too, based on the older girls gesture but what Nayeon didn’t know is that Jeongyeon probably likes her more.

But ofcourse, she’s not going to say that to Nayeon. That would be weird and embarrassing. The timing isn’t right, especially that Jeongyeon’s heart is always ahead of Nayeon’s.

“Since you’re doing the job, I’ll go back to the living room.” Nayeon informed but before she could leave the kitchen, Jeongyeon stopped her “W-What?” she stuttered at the contact

“Stay by my side.” Jeongyeon said in a gentle tone “Sit next to me.” she added

“W-Why?” Nayeon stuttered again and Jeongyeon could just facepalmed because the girl was too clueless to gets what’s going on “Why do you want me to stay?”

“I want you…” Jeongyeon answered, making Nayeon blushed hard “…to learn how to cook.”

“O-Oh…” Nayeon muttered “…that’s it?”

“That’s it.” Jeongyeon lied, causing Nayeon to sit down again with a heavy heart

No matter how much Jeongyeon wants Nayeon to recognize her feelings through her confusing gestures, she would just have to wait for that. No matter how slow Nayeon in realizing, she’ll be waiting for her like this.

Jeongyeon started cooking as Nayeon watched her. Her heart was beating out loud but she tried to be cool and cook without getting flustered at the stares. Her heart was beating so fast that it could pop out of her ribcage any moment.

Jeongyeon was now cleaning the utensils she used after cooking when she glanced at Nayeon, accidentally creating an eye contact. She got flustered and dropped the knife, causing her to have a wound on her hand.

“Y-YA!” Nayeon reacted as went to Jeongyeon “A-Are you okay?” she then held Jeongyeon’s hand in hers “Why are you getting clumsy? You should stop hanging out with Sana now.”

“Why? Are you jealous?” Jeongyeon decided to tease even though her finger was bleeding

Nayeon blushed as she furiously shook her head “The hell I will.” she muttered as she stood up and left the kitchen, making Jeongyeon sad but she came back with a first aid kit after a while “I’ll treat your wound and have the maknaes prepare the table.”

Oh, how Jeongyeon wished that they will always be like this close to each other.

“If only you aren’t being clumsy, I would have let you do all the job.” Nayeon added with a smirk, shattering Jeongyeon’s moment with her

Yes. No matter what happen, it will only be Jeongyeon’s wish. Because the two of them would always be tortoise and hare.

The next day, Nayeon was dressed to leave early in the morning. She was wearing black jeans and a longsleeves over a large t-shirt. She was wearing a beanie and was now wearing her shoes. In Jeongyeon’s opinion, boyish attire is the best for Nayeon. She looks cool, that way.

“But isn’t she getting more cooler each and everyday?” Chaeyoung asked, making Jeongyeon’s eyes widened as she faced Chaeyoung who smirked at her “Don’t voice out your thoughts, hyung.” she added before facing the television again

“S-Shut up, Chae.” Jeongyeon stuttered because it didn’t mattered even if she saw that side of her to Chaeyoung because Chaeyoung already found out about everything “But…where is she going, though? We don’t have schedules, right?” she whispered

Chaeyoung suddenly faced Nayeon “Where are you going, unnie? We don’t have any schedules, right?” she asked and even winked to Jeongyeon

“I’m meeting Yerin for a cup of coffee.” Nayeon stated with a smile “Don’t worry, I’ll be back immediately. We’re just going to catch up with each other.”

“I’m not the one who’s worried. It’s J--” before Chaeyoung could finish her sentence, Jeongyeon pushed her off the couch “O-Ouch…what the heck, hyung?”

“Sorry, I was getting the remote and you were in the way.” Jeongyeon lied as she glares

Chaeyoung pouted before standing up “I said, Jihyo unnie would be worried.”
