DECEMBER 26, 2003

The snow is heavy that night. Kang Seul-Bi is excited. She was off to university in four months. The air was thick, she blew out a breathe.  She looked at the mirror, her wavy black hair was now light brown. A new change. 

''Eomma, I off to the show.'' She yelled out to her mother, putting on her shoes. 

This new band was going to be great, she could feel it. 

Seul-Bi was a loner throughout high school. She didn't have friends. She only had time for her grades.

She had never been kissed. She only had acquaintances.

She was never invited to parties.

She was invisible. 

University would be her new start.

''Don't be back too late.'' She was already out the door.

'Tonight is going to be great.'
