I was never the good boy who studied for his tests, who handed up his work on time, and obeyed the rules. 

I was the exact opposite of that. I always failed my tests, never handing up my work on time and I always find myself in the principal's office. Not your typical high school kid. 

Up until I saw this girl in school. She was a transfer from Busan and came to class today. She spoke in an embarrassed manner, her voice soft and soothing. She said her name is Kim Somin. 

Much to her luck, she got the seat in front of me. We made eye contact, and I tried to smile, but ended up giving her a glare. 

She looked at me with a little fear evident in her eyes and quickly sat down.
