Chanyeol is in the midst of pulling his hair out. He doesn’t know what is going on and how to overcome his headache. This is why he doesn’t go to church, he gets nothing out of it- just a massive headache. Beside him was Kyungsoo, who pretty much is singing along with the choir. Chanyeol had to admit, Kyungsoo has a nice singing voice, but Chanyeol also tried very hard to not choke Kyungsoo at the moment, he got him into this mess.

Suddenly his phone vibrates and his eyebrow rise.

From: Baek

Hey Chanyeol,

Are you busy today? I would like to hangout with you again ^^

Chanyeol didn’t think Baekhyun would text him this fast. Chanyeol eyes Kyungsoo and surveys him hoping he isn’t paying attention to what Chanyeol is doing. He takes out his cell phone, about to text Baekhyun back but instead Kyungsoo nudges him again. “What?!” Chanyeol grumbles angrily.

“We are in church. You’re just going to start texting?” Kyungsoo says as a matter of fact.

“Fine. I need to go pee then.” Chanyeol gets up to make his way out the doors but Kyungsoo isn’t going to let him out that easily. Kyungsoo knows Chanyeol is texting someone, he just doesn’t know who. He motions where Chanyeol's phone is and controls it, moving it towards him. Finally he holds the phone and is about to read Chanyeol's message, but then that’s invading Chanyeol’s privacy. Kyungsoo shakes his head; he shouldn’t be going through Chanyeol's text. Suddenly the phone vibrates again, and Kyungsoo couldn’t pull himself away from the flashing screen.

From: Baek

Oh yeah I forgot to say, you can say no if you are busy. I won’t be hurt by it~

Kyungsoo feels his face form a pout. Chanyeol and Baekhyun just got to know each other and now they are texting each other like they are dating. His heart begins racing and he didn’t know why, was he suddenly jealous? Nah, he didn’t even know what jealousy was. He just wished that nothing would happen between them because he had to take care of Chanyeol, but if Chanyeol is suddenly going to hangout with Baekhyun more, it will make it harder for Kyungsoo.

Or that’s what he wants to make himself think to reassure that he isn’t jealous.

When Chanyeol walks back into the church, Kyungsoo could see how confused his face looks. He probably had a hard time trying to find his phone. Kyungsoo wants to laugh at the look on Chanyeol's face, he looks like a lost child. “Have you seen my phone?” Chanyeol lowers his head and whispers to Kyungsoo.

Kyungsoo controls the phone to be back in Chanyeol’s pocket. “Did you lose it?” Kyungsoo asks, not wanting to lie and say he hasn’t seen it.

Chanyeol nods his head. “Yeah, I don’t know where it is.” He touches his pocket and his eyes widen. “The …it was definitely not in here earlier.” He fishes his phone out and stares blankly at it. He must be losing his mind.

Kyungsoo laughs a bit before returning his full attention back to the priest. Chanyeol is still confused, he could have sworn he checked his pockets at least five times outside and now the phone suddenly appears. What kind of cruel joke is this? Chanyeol couldn’t help but look at the ceiling to see if God was watching him or something, maybe God didn’t want him on his phone…

God works in mysterious ways.

While Kyungsoo stays after to pray some more, Chanyeol is already outside on his phone. Kyungsoo thought it was Baekhyun at first but then he heard Chanyeol mumbled curse words along with “stop being so annoying,” so Kyungsoo confirmed it was probably Minseok, the number one person to get on Chanyeol’s nerves.

Kyungsoo kneels down and clutches his hands together. He looks up and pray, “God please help me. I need to know the reason I cannot come closer to Baekhyun.” He closes his eyes and mumbles some prayers to possibly enlighten himself for he is confused at the moment. Then suddenly a mist of light appeares in front of him and his eyes widen. It all make sense. Why didn’t he see it before?

Baekhyun is the opposing force, he’s the devil acting as an innocent person. Kyungsoo should have seen it coming, a lot of angels couldn’t make it back to heaven not because they couldn’t complete their missions, it was because they didn’t have enough time to finish their missions because there was always something messing with them – a devil.

Kyungsoo feels much stronger after this discovery. He gets up and rushes out the church doors but instead of reaching Chanyeol, he bumps into a guy. The guy is about to fall but Kyungsoo grabs his hand just in time to stop the fall from occurring.

“I’m so sorry.” Kyungsoo apologizes as he lets the guy's hand go.

“It’s okay. You have some quick reflexes.” The guy smiles. Kyungsoo feels like time has froze because everything was coming back. He stays still for a moment not knowing how to move. “A…Are you okay?” the guy asks with concern in his voice.

“T…Taemin…” Kyungsoo trails off.

“How do you know my name?” the guy named Taemin looks at Kyungsoo in shock.

Now Kyungsoo feels like a creep. Of course he knows Taemin’s name, Taemin was one of the guardian angels. He was sent on the same mission but never made it back to heaven because he committed a sin. It’s no surprise he lost his memories and everything, he was just a mortal now. “I…Uh…lucky guess?” Kyungsoo really didn’t know how to lie.

Luckily Taemin didn’t suspect much, he just smiles and responds, “That is a lucky guess. What is your name?”

“I’m Kyungsoo. Nice to meet you.” They shake hands and Kyungsoo couldn’t help but feel bad for Taemin. Taemin, although still beautiful, has lost his shine when he was a guardian angel. It was all because he fell in love with a mortal. If only Taemin could still remember Kyungsoo would ask if he ever had a devil in his way, and possibly that devil had convince him to fall in love with a mortal.

Another matter that's depressing is when Taemin was banished from heaven, no one knew what happened to him. Now Kyungsoo was just curious if Taemin and the mortal ever got together, if not, Taemin lost everything. Kyungsoo just didn’t know how to ask the question without looking like an idiot. Instead Taemin speaks first while pointing to Chanyeol, “Is he your boyfriend?”

Kyungsoo's face flush as he shakes his head and speaks rapidly, “No way. We are just friends.”

Taemin laughs and nods, “Honestly you two look good together. I have a thing for homoual couples even though it is wrong.”

“Do you have a boyfriend then?” finally Kyungsoo manages to gather his guts and ask the question, even if he sounded like a creep.

Taemin shakes his head, “No. Honestly I don’t remember much of my life but I’m single. I would like to find one because I feel like I’m destined to be with someone, but I still haven’t found the right one...”

It is probably a terrible feeling and Kyungsoo felt more sorry for Taemin. He was condemned to be here all because of love and in the end they couldn’t find each other. Kyungsoo hoped he would never fall into a mess like this, he just needed to complete this mission and get back to heaven. He knew that because heaven is where he belongs and feel the most comfortable.

“Come on Kyungsoo. Let’s go.” Chanyeol calls out.

“It’s nice to meet you. Hopefully we will see each other around.” Taemin waves and they parted. Taemin runs to his family and Kyungsoo assumed it was his assigned family.

While Kyungsoo was still lost thinking how tragic Taemin’s life is, he couldn’t help but also worry for his future. He didn’t want all of the angels to have the same fate. Maybe he should have done Taemin a favor and look for that mortal of his.

“Why are you always so deep in thought?” Chanyeol asks while nudging Kyungsoo on the arm.

Kyungsoo snaps back to reality. “Sorry…I was just thinking.”

“You are quick at making friends. Shows how pure and kind hearted you are.”

“Y…You are a good guy too Chanyeol…” Kyungsoo didn’t know why that slipped. It wasn’t even in the same context of the conversation.

Chanyeol laughs, “Of course I’m a good guy. I’m awesome.” He turns and walks away from the church and Kyungsoo could only shake his head. Chanyel was definitely arrogant.

While they were walking together, Kyungsoo notices a homeless man sitting on the side of the road. The man has ripped clothes and was in a miserable state. Kyungsoo pulls Chanyeol's arm trying to get Chanyeol's attention. He motions to the man, "We should help him."

Chanyeol looks at Kyungsoo like he was crazy. "I'm not going to help him. He can help himself."

Kyungsoo looks at Chanyeol like he was the most disgusting human being right now. “How could you say that? The man is poor and homeless. The sign in his hands is saying he needs food. Chanyeol you are so rich, you can’t even spare some cash?”

“Don’t give me a lecture.” Chanyeol rolls his eyes and walks faster but Kyungsoo walks ahead and blocks Chanyeol’s way.

“Chanyeol, it doesn’t hurt to help someone in need. I…I thought you were better than that.” Kyungsoo didn’t mean to let the words slip but he was getting a bit frustrated – something that doesn’t usually happen. Maybe because of Taemin’s problem, Baekhyun, and now Chanyeol’s selfishness, Kyungsoo is getting a bit overwhelmed.

“I have said countless times that you are annoying and weird and you know what? You are ing weird. I really don’t want to be your friend and you keep following me, now you are judging me as a person? Sure I don’t want to help him because he can help himself. My parents didn’t receive any help and look at where they are now.”

“I…I’m sorry…” Kyungsoo looks down on the floor, he didn’t want to get on bad terms with Chanyeol because he can see how angry Chanyeol looked.

Suddenly Chanyeol’s phone rings and he picks it up. While he was on the phone, Kyungsoo felt terrible about himself, maybe he will not succeed with the mission after all. He felt like he wanted to cry but had to hold the tears in; all this overwhelming emotions was making him dejected. Then Kyungsoo hears a voice of a person he did not want to hear.

“Chanyeol!” Baekhyun yells and runs up towards him. “I finally found you.”

Kyungsoo knows Baekhyun was going to cause troubles for him and this time Baekhyun had really good timing. Chanyeol and him were both kind of heated up and now Baekhyun shows up. Kyungsoo and Baekhyun makes eye contact and this time Kyungsoo could see deeper into Baekhyun’s eyes, it was like a burning fire inside. Kyungsoo thought today was a good day because he got to go to church, and now he realized how wrong he was.

Tick, tock, tick, tock, each ticking sounds makes Kyungsoo more nervous. He fidgets his fingers while staring at the huge clock on the wall - which is kind of unnecessary. Why is a huge clock needed for the time anyways? One it was too fancy, and two it probably cost a lot. If only Chanyeol’s family puts the wants vs. needs. But then Kyungsoo cannot blame them, his parents did earn all this money, they have the rights to spend it however they want.

It was too silent that Kyungsoo couldn’t take it. When will Chanyeol be home? What is Baekhyun doing with Chanyeol? Kyungsoo wants to pull his hair out from frustrations, which he hardly gets because angels don’t get frustrated, but seeing with Chanyeol with the devil is making him develop all these hidden emotions - fear, sadness, gloomy, jealousy and neglected. Kyungsoo thought Baekhyun was after him, but it seems like Baekhyun has hidden motives.

Kyungsoo’s eyes make way to the vase on the table. He sighs and use his index finger to move the object up. His fingers move the vase back and forth, and this is when he figures he was bored. If he was going to mess around with magic, he is definitely on the verge of boredom.

While moving the object around a thought crossed Kyungsoo’s mind. How does Chanyeol deal with this? A huge house but there was no one around. Is that why Chanyeol is always so grumpy? But then Chanyeol doesn’t let a lot of people in his life, so he definitely had trust issues. Kyungsoo was about to drop the vase when he hears the doorbell ring. His heart almost stops beating as he motions the vase back on the table and rush to the door.

Maybe it’s Chanyeol? Maybe Chanyeol forgot his keys?

Kyungsoo opens the door to come into face with Minseok, sure he was a bit disappointed but Minseok is a funny guy. Minseok will definitely make him laugh to pass the time. “Hey Minseok,” Kyungsoo smiles.

“Sup Soo? Now where is that bastard?” Minseok barges into the house and scans the place. Kyungsoo furrows his eyebrows as he walks behind Minseok, trying to follow his steps. “That bastard didn’t pick up my phone call. I was inviting him to the club again, how dare he ignore Kim Minseok?” Minseok huff as he crosses his arms across his chest.

“He’s been out since the afternoon, he’s with Baekhyun right now.”

“Baekhyun?” Minseok looks like he was thinking and then suddenly a light bulb flash. “Ohhh Baekhyun, the guy at the mall. Wait, why is Chanyeol with him and not you? Don’t you usually follow him?”

The innocent question does made Kyungsoo sort of sad because Minseok makes a good point. He does usually follow Chanyeol but now he couldn’t. He and Chanyeol weren’t on good terms with each other because of the homeless guy issue and then Baekhyun got into the picture – it was like all bad things happening at once. Maybe he should have asked God for the power to control time so he can stop all these events from happening.

“I do usually follow Chanyeol, but I guess he had plans with Baekhyun.”

Minseok chuckles a bit, “I cannot believe my nosy boyfriend was right about those two.”

“Where is Jongdae anyways?”

“I have to go pick him up but I was wondering why Chanyeol wasn’t picking up his phone so I made the trip here myself.”

“Wouldn’t Jongdae get mad that you aren’t picking him up and is here right now?” Kyungsoo questions.

“Nahh, he takes forever getting ready. I have all the time in the world.”

Kyungsoo laughs a bit, it was weird to see Minseok without Jongdae by his side. They were supposed to be glued together like Chanyeol said. Minseok then decided since his boyfriend wasn’t here to be all nosy and up in people’s business, he might as well do it. “Sooo are you jelly that Chanyeol is out with another guy?” Minseok makes a his silly grin.

“…Jelly?”

It was like apples and oranges having a conversation. Both sides were stupid in their own ways.

“Jelly like jealous.”

Kyungsoo shakes his head immediately. “No, of course not. Chanyeol and I aren’t like you and Jongdae.” Kyungsoo can’t even phantom that thought to process in his head. First he was an angel and second he cannot be homoual, it was like two sins clashing, he cannot repeat Taemin’s mistake. They say the first time is a mistake, and the second time is a choice. Right now he should be learning from Taemin’s mistake, not make the wrong choice.

Minseok makes a pfft sound and plops down on the couch. “Sure sure, I’m sure there’s nothing going on. Do I look stupid to you?”

Was that an actual question?

“Uhm no of course not.” Kyungsoo quickly replies before Minseok gets the wrong idea.

Jongdae picks up his pace as he walks on the road. The sun already set so it was dark and Jongdae wants to choke his idiotic boyfriend. Why isn’t that idiot picking up his phone?! Jongdae heads towards Minseok’s house but his mother said he wasn’t home, and now Jongdae had to walk all the way to Chanyeol’s house.

Just when Jongdae was going to turn the corner he sees a familiar sight on the side of the road. Chanyeol is talking with Baekhyun?

Great, now it was time to be nosy again. At least Minseok wasn’t here to lecture him. Jongdae walks closer towards them. They were both sitting outside of the café and talking with each other like they were friends from their previous lives. Jongdae didn’t know how Baekhyun did it, he made Chanyeol open up so easily.

Jongdae couldn’t spy that long though because he could tell he needed to jet. But he could faintly hear the conversation between the two of them.

“It’s surprising that you know Kyungsoo and yet he’s so distance from you.” Chanyeol speaks.

“Yeah, he choose not to recognize me but we were friends before. He changed though, back then he was a really crazy guy, always getting in trouble, right now he seems so innocent.”

“He is innocent. At first I didn’t know if he was stupid or just innocent, but I did lean towards innocent more.”

“Be careful though, I’m not sure if he’s as innocent as he proclaims, it could just be an act.”

Jongdae’s eyes widen, he couldn’t hear anymore because both of them stood up getting ready to leave. . That meant he had to get to Chanyeol’s house before Chanyeol does. Good thing Baekhyun has short legs; he would slow down Chanyeol’s pace. Jongdae takes the alternative route and runs as fast as lightning.

The doorbell keeps on ringing and Minseok grumbles as he gets off the couch. “I’m coming I’m coming!” he yells. He kind of wished he didn’t open the door because he was greeted with a very angry Jongdae.

“Kim Minseok, you idiot!”

Slam! Minseok slams the door on Jongdae’s face. , maybe he shouldn’t have done that. He opens it again and Jongdae pushes his way inside. “Why did you slam the door in my face?!” Jongdae yells while stomping his foot on the floor.

Kyungsoo could only look at the two of them and laugh. They were lovey dovey but they apparently bicker a lot also. Minseok pulls Jongdae into his arms, “Sorry baby but that face you made earlier. If looks could kill I think I’m dead right now.”

“You are dead with me. You idiot, why didn’t you pick me up? I waited an hour for you! I even went to your house!”

Minseok pulls out his cell phone and gulp. The time displayed was still 7:00p.m. His phone must have stopped working. He cursed at himself, why didn’t he stare at Chanyeol’s huge clock on the wall? Now he’s staring at a sweaty Jongdae.

“Hehehehe funny story baby. My phone apparently stopped working, the time hasn’t changed at all.” Minseok shows Jongdae his phone and Jongdae stares at Minseok with a blank face. “I don’t get why they call it a smart phone, the phone is pretty stupid.” Minseok adds.

Kyungsoo laughs even more and Minseok sends him a glare to shut up. He was in trouble right now and he didn’t need people to interfere. Kyungsoo instead wanted to talk and tease Minseok. “You said earlier you had all the time in the world.”

Minseok shoots him another glare and Kyungsoo shut his mouth, even if he wanted to laugh. Jongdae instead took the phone from Minseok. “And you aren’t suspicious at all that the time hasn’t moved from 7:00p.m? It is 8:30p.m right now Minseok.” Jongdae said as a matter of fact.

“Sorry babyyyyyy” Minseok yells loud enough for the butler inside his room to hear.

“Whatever, just ignore that, I found out new information!” Jongdae leaps towards Kyungsoo and Kyungsoo becomes afraid. Was Jongdae going to yell at him now? He didn’t do anything though, he just laughed, but he liked to laugh, it isn’t a crime to laugh right?

“Kyungsoo, apparently Baekhyun is talking smack about you in front of Chanyeol.”

Minseok sigh, of course his lover would be putting his nose into other people’s business once again. Kyungsoo just stares at Jongdae and slowly he finds his voice again, “W…What did he say about me?”

“About you acting innocent and yeah. I didn’t get to hear the rest because-” before Jongdae could finish his comment the door opened and Chanyeol and Baekhyun walks inside. They were both stunned to see everyone here.

“What is everyone doing here?” Chanyeol asks.

Minseok runs up to Chanyeol and punch Chanyeol’s shoulder, which he received a punch back. “I called you and you didn’t pick up man!”

Chanyeol pulls out his cell phone, “I didn’t get any calls from you.”

“Oh wait, my phone had problems. Ugh. Anyways, I called to ask about going clubbing tonight. But right now it is an odd number of people, if you know what I mean.” Minseok nudges Chanyeol using his teasing tone. “You can only bring one person.”

Chanyeol wants to push Minseok’s head against a wall or something, maybe then Minseok will become smarter. But then what if Minseok gets more stupid? The world isn’t ready for that. “I’m not going. I’m tired out.”

“Tired…oohh of what? What did you guys do?”

Chanyeol slaps Minseok's head making everyone in the room laugh. While the two kept on arguing back and forth with Minseok trying to convince Chanyeol to come along with them, Kyungsoo could sense Baekhyun glaring at him. Kyungsoo sends a stare back because the feud is definitely on.
