Eric could only smile. The younger man was still the same as before. He remembered how Hyesung would always leave snacks on his table. There would always be a post-it note. In his almost unintelligible handwriting, Hyesung would greet Eric. Or . Or scribble a lame joke.   Flashback   A post-it note was under a bottle of hangover drink: “Laaaate. Late. Late. Late. I arrived at your company before you did. Did you get drunk again? Such an alcoholic” A yellow note sat on top of a sandwich: “Sorry I didn’t tell you I was coming to the company. Your producer wanted to consult with me on something. Treat me to lunch some other time okay? ^^” A note was scribbled inside his composition notebook: “Eric Eric Eric Eric Eric Eric Eric Eric Babo :P”   End of Flashback   Eric smiled and then sighed. They shared many wonderful memories together. He can even remember how all it started. They met at an industry party. They were both working in the music business that time. Hyesung was a producer and he was a songwriter that time.   Weirdly, Eric felt at ease with Hyesung immediately. His first impression that the man was cold and snobbish had been wrong. The man stole his food and laughed at his silly jokes. They left the party before it ended because Hyesung complained how he was still hungry because the food wasn’t good.   Flashback   “Why do they serve these kinds of things at parties? I didn’t eat dinner for tiny sandwiches?”, the slender man said in disgust. “Hyesung-ssi, you already ate my food. How are you still hungry?”, Eric couldn’t help but wonder where the man was storing all those food. Did he have three stomachs? He laughed at himself, Hyesung would probably think he’s weird if he asked that. “I know a place with better food than this. The food is so good, you’ll fall in love with it.” Hyesung said smugly. Eric could hear the challenge in his voice. “Oh really? What if I don’t? Food is food. You don’t fall in love with food. You put it in and push it out.” Hyesung laughed at Eric’s irreverent statement. “Do want to bet? If you don’t fall in love with the food. I’ll treat you anywhere you like.” “Call!” the other man said immediately. “But... if you love it, you must treat me anywhere I like. Unlimited food. For like a month,” he laughed endearingly. “Ya, why do you get more than I do?” came the reply. “Just because, Eric-ssi. Just because.”   Hyesung dragged him to a street filled with food stalls. Eric couldn't help but gawk at the man. He looked so delicate and chic. The older man was surprised that Hyesung even knew this kind of placed existed.   They had grilled clams, chicken feet and noodles. Hyesung ate with gusto. Eric looked amusedly at the other man. He was wearing the most fashionable three piece suit yet here he was, munching on chicken feet at a grubby stall.   “You’re right Hyesung-ssi, the food here is good.” “Falling-in-love-with-chicken-feet good?” “Yes…” “See, I told you. You owe me food, Eric-ssi.” “Hahahaha. Of course. Please give me your contact number so I can carry out my punishment.”   End of Flashback
Hyesung looked at the man in front of him. So near yet so far, he thought. It’s been a long time since they saw each other. Hyesung remembered how much he laughed when they first met. He had never laughed with anyone like that.   He remembered how, after that meeting, both visited each other’s office more frequently. They became fast friends. Hyesung had never been more comfortable with anyone before. He told Eric about his childhood. They started to share secrets. They vented their frustrations in life to each other.  Eric always knew how to make him smile. In return, he felt like a million bucks when he made the older man laugh.   Hyesung shook his head at the memories. Junjin’s laugh took him out of his nostalgic journey. He must get a hold of himself, he was at a get-together, not alone in his hous

Chapter 7: Thanks for the new fic was so good and touching. When they said goodbye, I wanted to cry along with them, but the good thing is that they could meet again without hurting anyone. I think it was really their destiny to be together then. I love happy endings and especially the fics of this couple, is my favorite. Thank you for writing about them
