The album was released digitally on January 17, 2017, and was released physically on January 18. The album marked their first comeback and promotional album after 5 months of hiatus.

TAPE THREE;

Tape Three (Korean: 테이프 세) is the first studio album by South Korean girl group Ethereal and last installement of the Tape series. While Tape One focused on their vivid image and Tape Two focused on their  soft image, Tape Three focuses on a retro concept, merging their two sides as songs vary in liveliness as well as serenity, showing the two sides that make Ethereal awhole.  It was released digitally on April 10 2017, and physically on April 16. The Studio Album includes a total of twelve tracks, including double title track "Sweet Girl," based on the Jazz, Funk and R&B / Soul aspects of the 1970's, whereas "Lion Heart" based itself on the Soul, Pop and Jazz Elements of 1960.
