“Excuse me?” I shout into the emptiness of the dark room. “Who’s speaking?”

“It says hello! Rude girl, you are.” I cannot decipher the location of where the voice originates from.

“Hello?” The dim lights flicker on, revealing a shadowy room. Still, I see no source of the voice.

“Hello, my darling,” there is a slithering sensation all around me. Then, a little blue bird lands on my hand, balancing on the tip of my index finger, “finally you have arrived, Seolhyun.”

I shake my head, trying to clear my thoughts. Where the hell am I?

“Seolhyun, you’re my next masterpiece!” The voice cackles like wood on fire, and the little blue bird is melting. “A masterpiece that shall be unrivaled! All of Kurasaki will grovel to my knees when they see the example I’ve made of you! The prized demon hunter of Kurasaki’s little Prince Jin falling to the hands of the greatest demon herself.
